Anyone here old enough to remember Midway Game's Area 51 released in 2005? The HAZMAT units wore some rather space-age looking armor that feels like it would be right in line with Bethesda's goofy aesthetic. I'll try to get a few angles into this. The former two are in-game models, the latter is from in-cutscene.

I doubt it's a bug, and more of a design feature to prevent the signal grenade from being too broken by not giving enemies a chance to search before the shells come in. It still doesn't change the fact that they are extremely annoying to use because of this.

I'm in complete agreement with this--it also clashes with armor added by mods. I imagine it will take more work than New Vegas, since it uses a completely different gameplay engine.

It's been a long time since this topic started, but I had a similar thing occur on a Windows 7 after attempting to install some mods--the properties menu of my .ini file allowed me to restore from an earlier version and fix the problem. So, for anyone who has this problem in the future, I'd give this method a try before you do anything else.

Have a read of this thread at the Officials, a few things in there (install location, running installer as admin etc.) to bear in mind for Morrowind and Windows OSs from Vista onwards. I should note that I've had the GOTY CD since the XP days, and have uninstalled it last year all to get rid of one mod that NMM would not successfully deactivate. I swear, it behaves like all the .esm files were wiped off the disc.

I'm having a similar problem, save that I have the CD and just attempted to install it again.

In my case, it's several files including data2.cab--so I can't even uninstall the game. Incidentally, this was while I was trying to disable Axel's Sexy Walk mod... Unless anyone has a suggestion, I'd say I completely broke the game.
