So I tried messing around with with both apps but my results were... abysmal. If someone with the knowledge and the time read this, I would be very grateful if they can convert the armor
-
Thank you LFact. I will try to find that tool and try it out :)

Thank you Pellape for your reply. I guess I am not good with Nifscope... since I can not figure out how to converse the armor. I will try to read more tutorials ans give it a second go. =(^.^)=

Hello everyone, I was wondering if someone could help me out... I tried to look on many different sites but could not find anything, so I was hoping to find a modder here that is able to make a conversion from HGEC to DMRA. The armor I would like too convert is : https://www.nexusmods.com/oblivion/mods/42646 , the Archmage Sorceress by Cenobite. I do not intent to release it later, it is just for personal use only. If someone out here could do this, I would be very grateful. Thank you for your time reading this. Hope to hear from someone soon ^^'

@WanderRA @DraketheDragon Thank you both for your replies. I actually had to use both of your advices since when removing part of the meshes, it made the hands of my character disapear in game (the gauntlet does not cover all the skin), so I just reduced the size of some meshes to 0 and it seems to work fine now. I have never used Nifscope before, and it looks really good but a tad complicated. I'm sure with a bit of practice, I will be able to create something decent haha. Thank you again â¥

Hello :3 I have been modding Oblivion for a while now but only did it on the CS : changing some values, names, copy/paste some scripts etc etc. I am not a veterant in modding at all, just a noob knowing a few tricks ^^ My latest project is to edit meshes from different armors coming from different mods, I will not be posting any of my work as it is for personal uses only, nor try to take any credits from the amazing work from their creators. My question is, how should I proceed to open an armor meshes (let's say a gauntlet), and remove a part of it ? The meshes in question add a beautiful piece of armor but there is a couple things that bugs me and want gone. Thank you very much for reading, I hope someone wil read this and be able to answer me. English is not my mother tongue, if you did not understand me, please feel free to ask any questions. Have a great day !

Adding Spell/Ability to Vanilla Birthsign
OblivionRora replied to ProjectTitan313's topic in Oblivion's Mod troubleshooting
If you didn't download Blademans Birthsigns, then just pick Oblivion esm (it should be at the top of the list), then follow the other steps. -
Adding Spell/Ability to Vanilla Birthsign
OblivionRora replied to ProjectTitan313's topic in Oblivion's Mod troubleshooting
After you opened TES Construction Set follow these steps : - File > Data > Select Blademans esp and activate it (Set Active File button). - Under the "Magic" option in the left column, go to Spell and create a new one. Give it a name, do whatever you need. - Go to the "Character" option, then Birthsign, then find the Birthsign you want to change. - Add/Remove whatever you need, you will be able to find the Spell/Ability you previously created. - Save everything and you should be good to go. -
The game stutters when audio is enabled.
OblivionRora replied to ElFlautas's topic in Oblivion's Mod troubleshooting
To be honest, having a top notch laptop or computer does very little for TES IV Oblivion... The game was full of bugs and glitches when released to the public (thanks to all the patches and updates) and the script for many quests, AIs, or even for running the game were pretty lame... Oblivion was in my opinion a broken game (awesome though) and we put a ton of mods on it... T.T Modders had to script their way to add HDR, 2k,4k and 8k resolution and many many features that Vanilla Oblivion did not offer. But I digress... and yes your laptop is way more than enough to run this game the way you want. I will try to look up for something that might help you today... and I just though about something : Do you have Oblivion Stutter Remover installed ? If yes, there is a Patch that fixes some sounds issue (not being able to hear your weapon swinging on something I believe). Maybe you should try downloading that and see if that help ? -
Adding Spell/Ability to Vanilla Birthsign
OblivionRora replied to ProjectTitan313's topic in Oblivion's Mod troubleshooting
Hello ProjectTitan, https://www.nexusmods.com/oblivion/mods/19445 : Blademans New Birthsigns are very stable and I never had any issues with this mod. But to answer your other question, yes you can modify any Vanilla Birthsigns with the help of a few tools. https://www.nexusmods.com/oblivion/mods/11367 : Oblivion Construction Set (you can find other expansions if you'd like, but this one is enough). All you need to do is to create your own abilities, name them and edit the Serpent and Lady by adding the new "ability" you created early. Save and you should be good to go. NB : After editing and saving, these changes will always occur for any new games you will start. If you want to go back to Vanilla Oblivion, delete the changes or delete the custom abilities. -
The game stutters when audio is enabled.
OblivionRora replied to ElFlautas's topic in Oblivion's Mod troubleshooting
Hmmm... All these mods of yours can not alter the game that much to make it stutter... except if your computer/laptop is really really old (like prior 2006)... The only think I can think of would be it might be because of the grass ? Do your stutters only appear in the wild or also in some inside cells ? https://www.nexusmods.com/oblivion/mods/5434 : LowPoly Grass is a mod that reduce the meshes quality of the grass in TES IV Oblivion. The game will be more stable, especially outside. -

OblivionRora replied to ElFlautas's topic in Oblivion's Mod troubleshooting
I see... :/ Do you have any mods that add NPCs, monsters, different musics ? It is possible that if you have a few mods, the script of some sound effects makes the game lags, stutters or sometimes CDTs. Would you mind sharing your mod order ? -
Warcry-mod: how to change language ?
OblivionRora replied to Reskal's topic in Oblivion's Discussion
Have you checked your load order ? Are you sure you installed everything properly ? Last thing, when you installed you mods, did you at any points overwrite something ? -

OblivionRora replied to ElFlautas's topic in Oblivion's Mod troubleshooting
Hello Elflautas, I don't know if that might help, but do you have https://www.nexusmods.com/oblivion/mods/12331 installed ? Quiet feet makes the game stutter less when you ride a horse, when you battle several enemies or when you have to fight animals. -
Speedy horses glitch after invalidation
OblivionRora replied to MaryWolf96's topic in Oblivion's Mod troubleshooting
Hello MaryWolf, Well... I have heard long time ago about a horse glitch in game that allows any horses to have insane speed. If I recall well... it has something to do with way shrines (the ones in the wild that grant you buffs for 300 seconds), you activate the way shrine with your horse in between you two, so it is the horse who receives the blessing. After that, your horse has a speed close to 1000 ? I don't remember.... Do you have any mods that change something with your horses ? Does it happen with any horses or just the one the own/ride ? -
Very nice xD

Warcry-mod: how to change language ?
OblivionRora replied to Reskal's topic in Oblivion's Discussion
I might be wrong about that, so please be careful if you want to give it a try... Make a backup of your game and any files you change before altering anything please... There is no Language option in the Steam version of the game, but I remember that in the Oblivion ini file (in "My Documents"), there is an option. I have no idea if it will work or not though... There is under the "Controls" category a line called "iLanguage", by default, this stat is at 0 (0 means English), but you can change it : 1 : German 2 : French 3 : Spanish 4 : Italian I'm sorry I can not give more information about this... I always played my games in English to actually get better at it ^.^ I know that most mods are in English, and some modders were able to update older mods in different languages (German, Castilian, French etc etc ). I believe that if one mod is in German, this very mod can not be used with an English copy of the game (I might be wrong about that). -
Hello ItsMaybelline, First of all, you should download BOSS to give a proper order to your mods, because from your screenshot, it is quite messy ^.^' And many errors in game can come from a messy order. And about OBSE, I see that you are using the Steam version of TES IV Oblivion. You do not need all these OBSE items in your directory, only 3 : - obse_1_2_416.dll - obse_editor_1_2.dll - obse_steam_loader.dll When you launch the game for the first time with OBSE, it will create a new folder in your Oblivion directory (under Data) called "OBSE". Inside you will find a configuration item and sometimes a "Plugins" folder. Check if you are using the latest version of OBSE. Start using BOSS for your mod order. Hope this help a little,

office of imperial commerce always locked
OblivionRora replied to justinrpg's topic in Oblivion's Mod troubleshooting
Hello JustinRPG, I do remember something similar happened to me long time ago... The reason was the lady that opens this "shop" was trapped somewhere in her house... so she could not open in the morning, and when I tried to trespass to see what was going on inside, nobody was there. Just like OblivionAddicted said, use the console to unlock the door, or just unlock it yourself, go upstairs and unlock the door again and check her bedroom. Talk to her and try to reset the cell by entering and exiting a few times until she actually moves and goes back to her routine. -
Oblivion XP Update won't run
OblivionRora replied to ItsMaybelline's topic in Oblivion's Mod troubleshooting
Hello ItsMaybelline, Have you also download Oblivion XP Update ? I'm also using it and it does bugs, especially before earning your first level... but I found a trick to bypass it. Anyway, download Oblivion XP and Oblivion XP Update, if you are running any UI mods (Darn for example), install your UI mod first, then Oblivion XP, then the Update. Overwrite everything when asked then try it out. NB : My issue doing so is that if you play a new game, earn some xp but do not level up, for some reason when you load this save, Oblivion XP will go crazy and give you 18k experience points.... which literally means about 8-9 levels. To bypass this, when I created a new character, I made sure to be level 2 before saving and exiting the game. (you can read books at the IC Market to earn a lot of XP early in game) -
Oblivion: Which overhaul to choose ?
OblivionRora replied to Reskal's topic in Oblivion's Discussion
Hello Reskal, All of these Overhauls add something different, and I guess every players will find a little something better in one rather than the others... it is up to you to see which one suits you better. On a personal point of view, I tend to like OOO and MOO better :) They add new items, new monsters, new difficulty, new textures/meshes, new AI etc etc -
Questions about 2 Mods
OblivionRora replied to EmperorsFriend's topic in Oblivion's Mod troubleshooting
Hello again EmperorsFriend, I have tried the mod you were talking about in your first post " NPC Static Level" for a few hours. It does work fine for me except that I have a few CDTs here and there (I guess it would be because of some monsters or NPCs messing up with the script). That being said, I understand how you want to play the game now ^.^, and here are some other mods that change the way monster/NPCs level throughout the gme : https://www.nexusmods.com/oblivion/mods/2518 : Francesco leveled creatures https://www.nexusmods.com/oblivion/mods/30860 : Bandits and Highwaymen without leveled items https://www.nexusmods.com/oblivion/mods/39536 : Oblivion Unleveled (might couple it with other mods though) https://www.nexusmods.com/oblivion/mods/47763 : Lower Level Enemies Dont Disappear NB : The guards in any cities will never wear Daedric Armors or Weapons, they will always keep their standards Legion Armor and Silver Weapons. NB2 : This also apply for any guards/forest guard you might encounter in the wild. NB3 : The only way a guard ever picks up a different weapon would be to pickpocket his sword/bow or to disintegrate it... and even at this point, I'm not sure if they will not just fist fight you instead of picking up a random weapon. -
Defense of Bruma quest NOT progressing
OblivionRora replied to justinrpg's topic in Oblivion's Mod troubleshooting
I do remember that it happened to me long time ago too... Martin was stuck somewhere (maybe in the chapel in Bruma) and because of my high Athleticism, my character was running so fast I reached the battlefield before he could find a proper pathfinding ^.^' -
Questions about 2 Mods
OblivionRora replied to EmperorsFriend's topic in Oblivion's Mod troubleshooting
Hello EmperorsFriend, To answer your first question, I do not understand why you need a mod to unscale the enemies' level... Why don't you use the In Game difficulty bar and put it to the extreme left (the easiest difficulty) ? Doing so, you will deal 6 times more damage and your enemies will only deal 1/6 of their normal damage to you. For your second question, Qarls' mod is a very heavy mod that replace and add some textures. It is easier to use OBMM to install it because the process will be automatic and you don't have to worry about missplacing a folder or item. It is totally possible to install it manually though, you just have to be extra careful while doing so, or you might be surprised by some weird textures, missing textures or even a CDT every time you start the game.
