  1. Nightasy have a mod "Hmm what to wear" that add appearance pieces to an invisible armour. I guess this system would work for helmets as well. If so you would have an invisible helmet with stats and enchantments on and an "open visor" and an "closed visor" version of the appearance. Some kind of script could maybe change the appearance piece automatically when one enters combat. I cannot link to the mod since it have some nsfw possibilities but you should find it with a quick search. If Nightasy will add helmets at all is something I do not know but if not, I doubt he would prevent others from making such a mod on similar principles.
  2. That is the "Economics of Skyrim" mod and it indeed do what you ask for, especially if you set it to use "regional values". This will let you do just that, for short, resources are cheap where they are produced and expansive away from there. Train up your negotiation skills to get prices as well aand start do your trading.
  3. Actually all the robes could be improved by such an overhaul, and much of it can be done without even using HD textures. The common hooded blue mage robe with it's gigantic stitches are an example of this, I really hate those gigantic stitches, the tailor that made them should be shot, resurrected and shot again! There is no need to go HD to fix that problem, thou an HD patch would of course improve it more still.
  4. Technology are a bit medieval so communication technology are a bit undeveloped. They appear to have invented the printing press but seriously, very few people actually know how you look like. This is lampshaded by Ralof the Stormcloak. Save him from Helgen and he will, when you ask about Ulfric realise that not many people know how he looks like, aside from some imperial wanted posters.
  5. The salt requirement are killing Skyrim cooking, I can be totally loaded down with ingredients and still be unable to cook anything useful. Besides it is immersion breaking to use a whole pile of salt in each recepie. I have a suggestion for a fix for this problem. Salt piles should not be used in cooking. Salt piles should be used to refill saltshakers! Each full saltshaker will have say 10-20 charges and all recepies are changed to require a saltshaker charge instead of a whole pile of salt.
  6. And be sued for copyright infringement when we do, the probably make a built in "call the cop" function in the printer mandatory.
  7. Would be interesting from several points of view. Among other other summonable animals we could play as a beastmaster type of character. I can also point at the fact that Nocurnal are not alone in the raven follower idea, the norse main deity Odin have them as well.
  8. I assume that there are some plant that raw moonsugar are harvested from and it is unlikely that they grow in Skyrim. What you need is someone that import enough of the stuff for you to purchase, perhaps an edit of the khajiit merchants stock. Maybe a new item for them to sell: "Raw moonsugar" and a recepie for how to convert it into useable moonsugar and then a cooking recepie to turn the moon sugar into skooma. Apperantly, from the Morrowinf game, skooma are supposed to be consumed with a skooma pipe so I assume that skooma are not really intended for drinking but rather heated up and then the fumes inhaled.
  9. The Companions are respected all over Skyrim and really only have two possible enemies, The SIlver Hand and perhaps the Thalmor of historical reason. The Silver Hand doesn't really see The Companions as an enemy, it's the lycantropy infested Circle that is the problem so that is what they really want dead, the rest could be spared if they doesn't get in the way. The people of Whiterun are already annoyed at the rumors of werewolfs around so if those are taken out, they should not objection, the Companions could just rebuild after that, werewolf free. Suggestibly, this could be an alternate way to become Harbringer of the Companions. The Thalmor may be worried that the Companions, who was founded as an elf bashing organization may take up their old habit and recruit with this in mind if the Dominion invades Skyrim and thus may want them out of the way before such a war. The Companions would be an ideal leader for the resistance of this historical reason even in it's modernized form with some elven members.
  10. What you need is a player home with item autosorter containers. Myself I use the Skyrim Adventure Tent, and actually summonable housemod that you can place almost everywhere and then move again when you need to relocate. It got all you need, plenty of storage chests, bookshelfs, crafting stations beds for four followers. And if you install and activate the mods needed to get the aoutosorter functions to kick in life will become a lot better for you. http://skyrim.nexusmods.com/mods/15272/?tab=3&navtag=%2Fajax%2Fmodimages%2F%3Fuser%3D0%26id%3D15272
  11. Some item mods now come with a special item one need to have in invetory to be able to see them in the crafting list. Others use uniqe crafting stations.
  12. When playing Dawnguard I tend to name an enchanted crossbow "Stakethrower", I didn't even know that there where an actual item in the game with that name.
  13. We do need underwater combat I belive, restricted to "make sense" weapons but something to defend against slaughterfishes. "Only daggers" would work fine for me. There are airship mods. Stand on your airship and shoot at stuff, should cover most aireal combat. Also the new Dragoborn DLC actually adds some but I do not want to spoil details.
  14. That would require a new game sure we could have Akaviri content in Skyrim but to travel there in the SKyrim game would make no sense at all.
  15. What you need is the "Guard Dialog Overhaul" mod, it will activate a lot of guard dialog and make them show you respect, IF you have earned it. It will aslo activate some dialoge that would normally only activate under certain conditions. For example they may complain about what mages are doing in Sarthaal, normally this will only happen after doing the related Mage quest there but when you first enter Sarthaal there are evidence that the excavation have been going on for some time already so it would make sense whatever you have been there yet or not. http://skyrim.nexusmods.com/mods/23390
  16. Are this about bound arrows or about imbuing arrows with magical effcts? I use Mighty Magick, a magic rebalancing mod that amoung other things will let me enchant unenchanted weapons, including ranged weapons with magical effects. Thease run out after a while and are also ended if the weapon are sheated. Could that be what you are after? http://skyrim.nexusmods.com/mods/13166
  17. I have been playing the Diablo games since classic, no Diablo game is complete without goatmen!
  18. 20-30 fps, what a luxary, I used to have crappy computers when I played WoW. For me, then 7 fps was typical... the horror! Let's just say I wasn't much for raiding.
  19. I am of the idea that is probably better to purchase them in the order they are relased, I may be wrong but I feel a bit safer that way. And also order the Unoffical patcher in that order as well. Besides Dawnguard makes crossbows avalible, there are many crossbow mods that require Dawnguard. And If you use the Vilja companion mod, you probably want to wait with Dragonborn to get the mod team a chance to update with Solstheim content since she are from around there. It probably doesn't matter from a technical point thou, this was just my preference.
  20. If this is done, make as many as possible count as shields or what is done to make kids carry those dolls.
  21. Just start Skyrim once first, no need to create or load a game but start it, Skyrim need to complete the process of installing itself before BOSS can be used.
  22. I guess it would be possible to create armor pieces that make part of the body invisible since it sometimes happens due to bugs. Do this deliberetly and attach a script that will disallow use of the invisible arms hand, even for dual casting of magic. For lost legs I suggest some kind of peg leg system. I guess it is possible to create visually, maybe with an added "cannot run" script to go with it. In the old PnP era I created an ranger NPC that had lost a leg and got it replaced with an artifical one made of wood, metal and leather. She could not run but was not hindered much by this due to living in a swamp and traveled mostly in a small boat anyway. Dwemer replacement limbs anyone?
  23. What you need is the Skyrim adventurer tent, place it wherever you want to live, even indoors dungeons and it can be moved when you are tired of a location. Install the companion mods to make containers behave smart and you are all go.¨Combine it with a nice follower AI mods and you can have your team do stuff on their own inside. http://skyrim.nexusmods.com/mods/15272/?tab=3&navtag=%2Fajax%2Fmodimages%2F%3Fuser%3D0%26id%3D15272
  24. And you need honey for mead so where are the bee hives?
  25. Good to have something, right now I am stuck on one more of those nasty quests with an objective on the other side of that mountain over there. I spend a lot of time trying just to reach things, hopefully this should be a quick and dirty way to fix that. However in Morrowind I loved the dwemer skyglider, precisely because it was unwieldy and hard to master. Apparently that one didn't use actual flying but more like super jumps. In any case I rather equip a ring then transform into a dragon if I cannot have flying machine.
