Maskar's Oblivion Overhaul is an absolutely must-have mod, surpasses OOO on all levels.
Look at top-100 files in the nexus menu, they'll give you a good list of proven mods.

Hello folks, I need your help here. I've just reinstalled my game, and everything works fine except OBGE.
Notebook is Pavilion dv7 6053er, so you can google all the characteristics you need .
The problems are:
1)Screen flickers with black (IN EXTERIORS) with really high frequency if I eqip a torch or cast any spell that involves light production in casting process (basically, any spell).
2) Screen turns completely black if i do same in INTERIOR or HUD disappears. Inventory shows up fine, though.
Shaders work fine. LW is installed also. I tried to turn on/off the HDR. HDR removes this strange effect, but once I noticed that in this case HUD flickers.
My video card gets loaded, but not overloaded, I think, so that's maybe comes not from overheating or lack of video memory (though my Oblivion is stuffed with scripted gameplay mods and hi-quality replacers like QTP3, ITF, Mythic Creatures and so on.).
Any suggestions?

I'm glad you enjoyed it ;)

Install Wrye Bash, find Bashed Patch, 0.esp, right click on it, choose 'create bashed patch'.
Then find category associated with levelled lists and check Spell tomes' esp and OOO's esp.
(or add them via button, I don't remember exactly).
If theyr'e not here, return to menu. You can see a table in lower right corner of the window.
Right click on it and tag both files with needed levelled lists tags (relev and so on).
Include in Bashed Patch every mod that affects levelled lists.
In general, purpose of BP is reducing a number of conflicts and incompatibles
in all categories of mods, as you can see.

He created and also removed from Nexus many of them, yeah.

I'm looking for good mods that change gameplay.
I looked all over Nexus and other sites, and still I'm sure there are some that I don't know about.
So, please post your favourite ones (preferably rare).

Hello.
Just installed TES V on my notebook (HP Pavilion dv7 6053er), got last steam update, and started to get strange graphical artefacts.
Sometimes models on loading screen doen't show up fully (for example, I see only a head of a dragon, body appears only after 5 seconds).
Also, in the world landscape under my legs and moss in Helgen Keep keeps to appearin/disappearing, when I look at them with various angles or from various distance.
When I looked at Alduin, his head about completely, leaving strange 'fence' and glowing red-eyes in the air.
My NB is good, running Deus Ex on maximum settings with good performance. Skyrim set up video to high, and I tried on Medium - nothing changed.

I saw posts somewhere, where authors said that it's end of Oblivion experience after 11.11.11 and shared their thoughts about their gaming experience...And thought about myself - it's some dividing line - when TES V comes out, many modders will move from Oblivion to Skyrim modding ,and the amount of Oblivion players will dramatically reduce. To the subject. That thought was followed by another - what mods I've encountered during this years I'm considerind as essential? My list:
1)KEa Magic And Skill Extender
In development since 2006, mod that redefines things that no other mods touch.
Really TOO MUCH to write.
There will be final version soon, and I hope it will be translated to English.
2)OOO
It affects game in such a nice way. Gives you a real motivation to explore the world and play.
3)WAC
Adds loads of atmospheric and lore-friendly stuff. Gives game's world a new feel.
4) All Natural (+Immersive Interiors) Absolutely refines Oblivion's weather system. Atmosphere is one of the basic things in the game for me.
5) Basic Primary Needs Really great mod, with huge amount of details like 'hotkey your cup' - drink such way.
Or 'install mrsiika's farm animals and milk cows'. Just great, not to mention technical parts of the mod like scripts and few languages in one esp.
And mods which I like, but can't specify an order:
Explosives. Really high quality mod, loved it very much.
Cobl. Also enchances game's atmosphere, adding many must-have little things.
Mudwater. Many new high-quality content and funny quests.
Dwemer Skyship . Always wanted to jump with parachute in Oblivion And all those steampunk machinery... Wow.
Necropolis . Epic home for dark characters. Secrets Of Mertvitel . Great necromancy mod, can still remember how I constructed skeletons bone to bone. Mod's only in Russian.
Elsweyr. It's great to have one new province added to your Oblivion.
Vacuity's Spirits And Ephemerals . I really love all those thousdands of shiny creatures.
Lynge's Stories From The Sea . Loved how author used vanilla resources to create interesting quests.
Sneaking Detection Recalibrated . With this mod, I felt that stealth gameplay became interesting and challenging.
Well Diver. Features unusual dungeons.
Sounds Of Cyrodiil. Makes world alive.
Better Music System. With the help of it, I placed suitable tracks for ruins, forts, night, etc. Can't play without it any more.
Artifacts (Phitt's). Love how special they are.
Not mentioned ton of texture replacers and graphic enchancers.
Yeah, you're right in some way.But I'm still interested:)Please, don't confuse people, it's modified Gamebryo engine. That's one really bad thing about Skyrim.

As hardcore as possible :D

Maybe you should slightly edit vanilla meshes that you use, so new arrows won't be just retex of them?
BTW, looks great.
-
I suggest you to chack Vows&Covenants
That's not much of a hand-to-hand gameplay, but there you can roleplay a monk.

Thanks for the advice.

As you know (or don't), OOO uses 'placeatme' function in Golem and Nature summon spells.
This is stuffing your savegames, thus increasing their size and decreasing game's performance and stability.
Maybe someone could make custom summon effects using OBME (http://tesnexus.com/...le.php?id=31981) or redo summoning some other way?
That would be great.

Always been a fan of dwemer. And this desert looks totally different from Annequina.
Must have for me, if I'll ever have time to play.
Потрясающе на самом деле.
-
Look at my mod, 'Why only apple'. Link is in my signature.
It adds many various types of poisoned food and drinks plus different kinds of lore-looking bombs.
-
Necropolis by Eisenhorn, Dwemer Skyship by mr_siika.
Also I like Valus Mountains and Nibenean Basin areas very much, because they look so wild, you're far away from civilisation and must survive on your own.
It may not be hard in original game, but if you pick some hardcore mods, it gets incredibly atmospheric.

Need some recommendations.

Maskar's Oblivion Overhaul is your best bet I think, it does deleveling and adding stuff in a lot of great ways.
And I personally recommend to use Wrye Bash over OBMM.
Main graphics mods are Quarl's and Bomret's testure packs. There's a LOT of other replacers though.
Try The Lost Spires. It's old, but good nevertheless.
