  1. I became a werewolf as part of the companions quest line. My horse seemed fine. Still where I left her at Whiterun Stables but now "Steal" is the warning rather than my name as owner. What happened to my ownership? Being a werewolf should have nothing to do with ownership right? I rode and left her at this location recently Anyone know what gives? Thanks
  2. OK- so I install Win 7-zip then go to Skyrim/Nexus for HiAlgoBoost downloads. Go to Jan.29, or either Nov14 versions (v2.3 or 2.2) and when trying to install I get the warning message "please note that winRAR sofware is not free" (40 day trial) Proceed anyway? Thanks
  3. Appreciate response- I know AGP is dated but my computer is equipped with both AGP & PCI-E sockets
  4. I downloaded Nexus Mod Manager to check: only 2 plug-in's loading- 1st- Skyrim.esm 2nd- Update.esm no other loads/changes
  5. I have serious lag issues together with other problems like lock-up for selections. I thought maybe I should start by dealing with the graphics first... I have an Intel Quad processor. Without going into the details of my cheap AGP graphics card Skyrim recommended the lowest graphics setting for the game due to the graphics card quality. Funds are tight so: spend $29 on winRAR to get the hiagloboost download or just go with a good, used Nvidia 8800GT w/512 mb memory for the same price? I will later do basic mods if I am able. Thanks
  6. When I use the Enchanting table in Whiterun, I choose Disenchant, then item to disenchant, then "Yes", then prompted to confirm "ok"?. I am unable to confirm with any keys. "Y" (Yes) for my confirmation on item to disenchant, or my mouse click to select or any other key will not allow me to confirm or exit. I am forced to shut down and restart the computer to exit! The only thing that works is Shift/Tab for Steam Community- but when I exit that without help I return with the same problem- inability to confirm or exit. The Disenchant works, I receive experience. When I force the restart to exit and return, the item still exists and I have no experience (as a result of the inability to confirm "ok") Any suggestions? The result is the same with different items- All of which are novice. Thanks in advance.
  7. Men are such suckers for masochistic bitches that sound bored, kick ass and show cleavage....even some girls (too). And she's my first........
  8. I have been stuck before and either got the online search help needed or through trial and error got results. This time.... I go to the Enchantment table at Whiterun. Select "Disenchant", then select "item", Then confirm "Yes", then I get 'you have just Disenchanted item' ("ok")? Then it all locks up. No buttons work except I can highlight "ok" with my mouse arrow (which I also use to select an item by clicking on it). Confirmation with Yes/No did require I use another button other than my mouse- the "Y" dey for "yes" but no other buttons will allow me to: 1) Complete "ok" OR 2) Exit/Escape out of Enchantment. I have to force a computer shutdown (UNWISE). What does work is Steam Community: Shift/Tab. But I return to the same locked "ok" without help. Any one else experience this or know a way out? I have tried different enchanted items with the same resulting lock-up/no escape. Each time I am getting an experience credit but cannot move on..... when I force shutdown and restart- I return to find my experience is lost and the Enchanted item remains. I am on Enchantment experience level 15 and the stuff I try to Disenchant is novice level. I did reconfigure my Control Keys but NO KEYS WORK. Any clues appreciated. Thanks.
  9. I have played and played. Starting in 1992 with Doom (shall I go all the way back to dice w/D&D?), then progressing to Duke Nuk'em, Quake,... through Halflife, even online with 50K modems (anyone still remember those?) on to WOW and EVE and now for the most fun: Skyrim!! Been there, done that. But diversity eschews specialization so I have never become "expert" at anything- but getting to the highest levels at the highest difficulties was only a matter of time (and save, save, save). So now here I am- ready to continue a new adventure that hopefully lasts a long, long, long time!! So far this is GREAT!. I will need help along the way (right now actually). Just wanted anyone to know I think I am going to love this game and decided to join the like minded sooner than later. Thanks everybody and glad to be here.
