I just got Skyrim recently and I can't get past the opening sequence at Helgen. The first time, it generated a BSOD that was related to Realtek HD Audio. Updated the drivers. Then tried again. Progressed farther in the opening sequence... then the computer just reset itself. No warnings, no BSOD. Just a plain reset. PC specs: Intel Core2Duo E6320, 1.86GHz Nvidia GeForce 9500GT, 512MB (drivers are up-to-date) 2GB RAM Mobo is an Asus P5S MX-SE

I have LAME, Supreme Magicka and Deadly Reflex. The thing is, in Vanilla OB, I used to have the elemental criticals whenever I hit someone with a strong elemental spell. Once I added SM and LAME, they wouldn't trigger. I like LAME's additions better than SM, but SM has the Deadly Reflex support. How do I get the magic critical deaths?

I plan to use the RBP with Custom Races, Moonshadow Elves and DesuChan's Dolls. Also HGEC (as it is a requirement of the Dolls). What's the best order for their installation? Will they risk game crashes?

What if I were to use the Alternative Start though? Would I just leave that tutorial save alone and make a new game?

Your assumptions are correct. So... I've decided to re-install. I'm in the process of reinstalling SI and the DLCs. Do I make a vanilla save, then start adding mods?

What makes this crash really weird is that it only corrupts my brother's saved games, and not mine. There are points in time where he would save (no, not quicksave or autosave), then sleep, then it crashes just after a small amount of movement. I've never experienced that problem before. It then happens with his previous saves (whether wait or sleep). I try re-loading Oblivion, and the crash just comes out faster. Load order: I have Oblivion Stutter Remover and I installed RBP's custom body mesh, if that helps.

I'd really like to see a Cataphract in Oblivion. I would have a Dremora Army, 100 foot soldiers, 50 archers, 50 mages and 50 high ranking guys who are adept in combat, archery and magic. Everyone wears Daedric Armor and weapons. Then I'd invade a rebuilt Kvatch (courtesy of Kvatch Aftermath) and destroy it again! Deja Vu! Woo-Hoo!

I like Giskard's mods. He puts the L in Lore! :)

I find it weird that once you fall and die, your landing is like you just fell asleep. There's none of the BLAG and CRACK sounds and the horrifying impact of the fall.

I saw in an article at PC World Canada, they included PoP: Warrior Within as one of the worst games ever, which I totally disagree on. A game that sucked (I didn't play it to save my humanity) was Gods and Generals.
