  1. But thats the only reason i use NiffSE, is for Deadly Reflex :( It was working perfectly before the reinstall :( Is there no way I'll ever have deadly reflex again? And besides, I uninstalled the NiifSE and the game started, but then it crashes whenever I go through a door or try to save :( Have you tried waiting for 4-14days and making a clean save? Ive had issues like that and i made a clean save and waited for 14 days then save again, new file, and continue through he door and it will work The problem has actually gotten worse, when I even try to load a save, it comes up with that Debu Error and I cant play it. Ah crap, I feel stupid right now... I had your issue confused with another thread. Extremely sorry about the mix-up :wallbash: :wallbash:

  3. Should have psoted this earlier. Some mods i use: better cities qtp3 full all unique landscapes full fcom Texture pack for all plants, food, trees, etc (cant remember which ones but its on the TOTO) hi rez books and hi rez SI books, spell tomes all dlcs and about another 130+ mods while im in the IC market district i get 20-30 fps. Outside IC 80-100+ intel i7 OC'd 3.2Ghz 6gb. Triple channel ram 796mb evga gtx 260 core 216 graphics As ive mentioned in past posts, BC will behave differently from computer to computer. Even if two computers are built to the same specs. On a side note, i just recently reinstalled windows and i currently have no mods installed with the exception of my mods being in BETA testing. Im behind on most mods anyway. The majority of them mmm, ooo, bc, ul, etc. :/ if you need more help just ask and ill do my best to help
  4. Should should notice that "most" cities have changed... If you go to the Imperial City Market district, that seems to be the most noticeably changed. Make sure that you have all the correct plugins installed. Aswell as any texture packs that come with it. Use BOSS to help set your load order. If that doesn't work. You may want to uninstall it and try to reinstall it using OBMM with a OMOD script. It'll step you through the process with mainly "Yes" or "No" questions, and IIRC it will ask you if you want to keep separate city plugin files, do NOT keep them separate (merge them into a single plugin.) And if that doesn't work, you may want to ask this in the Official BC thread. (I'm not sure what the link is, I'm at work without my laptop, with all my bookmarks) Please note that this is kind of a Necro thread. It was opened almost a year ago. But doesn't hurt to bring it back I suppose.
  5. So with no mods you had 48 fps? and with bc you had 18? You have to remember how much BC changes graphic wise, it adds lots of new houses in probably every city, and much more. no matter what hardware you have you will lose fps with BC period. In your case, with only 2-gb of ram its going to be more than others. If I were you, I would head to the Better Cities Official Thread HERE and check what they say, and ask there. You might get a much better answer than what I can give you.
  6. Possibly. but before you go getting more ram try this. Its helped me before. Go to... My Documents\My Games\Oblivion\ make a back up of your Oblivion.ini (just copy it to the desktop) Then delete the Oblivion.ini in the Oblivion games folder Run the Oblivion Launcher, and let it rebuild your .ini file Then try it again. If that doesn't work or make it any better, I would look in trying to get more ram, another 2-gb would do OB a nice thing I think ------ I once had both BC and QTP3 (along with full FCOM and another 130+ mods) and I dropped from ~35-40fps to ~8-10fps (If I remember) (I soon uninstalled both BC and QTP3 my system specs... Intel Q6600 2.4ghz Quad-2-core 2-gb 1066 mhz ram dual Xfx 9800 GTX+ in SLI (512mb each) graphics at high with 1024x768 in oblivion ----- my current system (At the moment, I'm not using any mods, trying to finish my own mod and don't want anything to interfere with it. I have played around in Vanilla OB a little and I am seeing constant ~60-70fps (argh once I get those two other video cards and the other 18-gb ram, I will be flying) Intel i7 920 2.66 Overclocked to 3.4Ghz 6-gb 1600Mhz ram evga 260 superclocked graphics graphics at ultra-high with 1024x768 in oblivion ---- Also I forgot to mention, when I run GameBooster, I disable all Anti-virus, spy-ware programs, I also unplug from the net, so nothing can happen while I play OB I hope this helps you :)
  7. I need a script that is based on the PC level to how many guards will show up. RefID: StoneGuardian01 StoneGuardian02 StoneGuardian03 StoneGuardian04 StoneGuardian05 StoneGuardian06 StoneGuardian07 StoneGuardian08 Basically what I need is something similar to this..... PC Level 1 to 10 = 2 guards spawn at 2 Levels higher than PC level PC Level 11 to 15 = 3 guards spawn at 5 Levels higher than PC level PC Level 16 to 20 = 5 guards spawn at 8 Levels higher than PC level PC Level 21+ = 8 guards spawn at 15 Levels higher than PC level Will be activated through a Player trigger. Will be used multiple times in different locations in the same interior cell
  8. trust all of us, you WILL enjoy it. I've had it since it was first released, I paid $60usd for it. and have clocked in close to OR over 9000 game play hours, between the Play Station 3, Xbox 360, and the PC. :) I played FO3 for roughly 2 months, and got really bored of it, came back to OB and never looked at FO3 again...though its sitting right next to me o.o
  9. Better Cities takes a lot of resources including RAM and GPU. Some systems can run it with just a few fps drops and others can drop 20-30+ What other mods are you running? Also, what resolution are you running Oblivion in? I wouldn\'t recommend much over 1024x768 (but that\'s my opinion...The higher Res is it, the more resources it needs) It all depends on your system and how many mods you have/what types of mods. You have 2-gb ram, which is more than enough to run OB without mods, but once you add-on the mods like Better Cities or Qarl\'s Texture Pack 3, it starts to eat up your ram. EDIT: Windows 7 x64 takes around 900mb to well over 2gb of ram (it depends on how much ram you actually have) I have W7 x64 with 6-gb of ram and it uses 1.2-1.5-gb for windows alone, with no extra things running (ie. winamp, gadgets, etc) (As I sit right now, I have winamp, firefox (with 10 tabs open) TES CS and 8 gadgets and a Chii from Chobits window sitter, and I\'m using 2.0-gb of ram) END EDIT Try running Game Booster (Link: http://www.iobit.com/gamebooster.html ) I use Game Booster and its wonderful, Plus its FREE. Try using that, and see how it goes. Good Luck and Happy Gaming EDIT: but I don\'t understand why with BC installed, QTP3 doesn\'t even make a difference. Most likely is because Better Cities add much more than what QTP3 actually does. Yes QTP is a major re-texture, but Better Cities add much much more to all the cities. You not the only one who has fps drops in the cities. So don\'t think its only you. It wouldn\'t hurt to try to get another 2-gb in ram if you are able to afford it, or are able to.
  10. Just wondering, how many files are in your /Data folder (not including sub-folders)? I've read somewhere that if there are over 300 (?) the game starts acting weird. I'll see if I can find that, while you get back with the number of files :)
  11. I don't understand what you mean (quote above) Current Script: Scriptname MalamathTurnLightsOnScript Begin OnActivate Player if ( light < 2 ) MessageBox "I should turn around and see if I can figure out how to light this area up. It is far too dangerous to venture any further without more light." return else Activate endif End
  12. Edited entire post, as it did not make much since to me, I was extremely tired and did not know what I was really asking for. I'm back, I had to take a break from modding, College started again, but I'll be working on this a little bit at a time, weekends most likely. ------ New question will be asked below....Sorry if this is against the ToS or anything. But I could not understand what I was asking for
  13. Thats what I asked, if he was using Wrye bash and if he was, his patch was missing. I guess I should have mentioned that you need it, instead of asking if he was using it I know its a fairly old post, and I'm sorry, but I have to make a correction..... I just re-read what you (Maigrets) had posted, I misunderstood what you meant. I was really tired that night :wallbash: Sorry if I made it seem like you didn't agree with me. :P --- And to the OP did you ever get this issue fixed?
  14. In the CS for OB, how can I get the viewing distance larger? I've currently got the Clipping Distance set at 300,000 which is max in my perfs. I would really like to be able to see further, oh lets say about 2 to 3 times further than what is currently is. See attached image (OT: That was to close...Attachment space used 249.64K of 250K) Back OT As you can see the room is clipped, and I would like to see much further than that room. I'm not worried about computer constraints... Corsair Dominator 6-GB 1600Mhz Tri-Chan memory EVGA GTX 260 896mb graphics cards in SLI Intel i7 920 2.66GHz OC'd to 3.2Ghz Thank You
