Hey everyone, I know that this problem has come up before, but I'm sick of the amount of time I've spent trying to fix this without any progress. NMM will not recognize fallout 4 and whenever I try to download mods using the manager I get this box: "unrecognized game mode: fallout 4" I know that you need to edit the INI files in order to allow fallout 4 to accept mods, I've done it and I still get the same box so I looked for a mod that automatically takes care of it: https://www.nexusmods.com/fallout4/mods/2772/?tab=2&navtag=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.nexusmods.com%2Ffallout4%2Fajax%2Fmodfiles%2F%3Fid%3D2772&pUp=1 I still get the same box, can someone explain what I need to do in order for NMM to work? I've never had this problem with New Vegas and Fallout 3 or any other game for that matter and I don't want to rely only on Bethesda.net's mods because it doesn't have the Heather Casdin mod available for PC. Any help would be appreciated.

I actually found a way around it. All you need to do in download the file and open it with mod manager then it'll just add it into the manager.

I've been having this problem too. I enabled mods, reinstalled and updated NMM, verified the game in steam but I still get the same error message and I don't know why. I would prefure not to spen another 5 hours downloading the game otherwise I would uninstall it, but I just can't find a solution..

As the title suggests I've run into a bit of a snag when it comes to the Nexus Mod Manager. when I start it up it says "can not reach Nexus login sever" at the top of the box. I can login offline but when I put my user name and password in it just says the same thing. well I'm already automatically signed into the Fallout New Vegas website (as it's obvious since I'm on the forms). I've tried logging out of this site and logging back in, I even disabled my no script add on in FireFox, but with all that it still won't let me log in to download mods. I'm not exactly sure what I can do to fix this, the manager has just recently done this- by the way.

my game has been doing that a lot too. every time I go into the atomic wrangler it crashes, but most of the time it'll crash every 15 minutes or so, I tend to just save every 5 minutes just to be on the safe side, I think it might be because of the Nevada skies mod, because I uninstalled it a little while ago and my game hasn't crashed for a long while either that or I think it's the mod that adds more people to the wasteland. modding this game gets really frustrating I've never had to deal with this before. Sometimes the game will crash if I update mods in which I have to spend hours updating the same mods over again until the game finally works. sometimes it'll be completely fine when I play it then I'll exit out to look up more mods, start up the game (with out the mods installed), and the game will crash when I open it (it tends to crash about 5 times before it starts to work again). I remember several times where I had to uninstall and re-install all my mods to look for one or 2 mods that was making my game crash, it's extremely frustrating to spend hours on that only to get at most 20 minutes of game-time. if you have the mod loader try updating your mods for a good hour or so, it might help.

I've installed a metric ton of mods but no I haven't installed any type of unlimited amount of followers mod, I did go back and look at a previous save and they follow me in that one so the problem is solved even though I lost at least 24 hours worth of work...

I've started to have some problems with my followers not following me anymore. I think it has something to do with NVSE loader, I had a posing mod installed that makes my character dance and I remember just toying around with it and holding down O which caused all my companions to group around me then the next thing I know they all start walking away and won't follow anymore I've tried uninstalling all my mods (I deleted the posing mod) deleted NVSE from my game files and started the game again but it still doesn't change anything and I've deleted the game and re-downloaded it installing everything all over again, but I'm not sure what else to do I've tried holding down buttons that I think might trigger it to work again. I also can't see myself sleep anymore it just makes my character vanish and I'm stuck looking at an empty bed, if I hold down O it makes my companions teleport to me again but it won't get me out of looking at the bed, so I'm at a loss as to what to do.
