  1. As War said, loop arrays can be quite powerful, if a bit buggy. But not buggy enough not to be useful  ! Check the command docs at the Silverlock.org site for what the extender can do for you.
  2. I consider Balakirev's comments a primer on "Housing: beyond the basic shack". Speaking of mannequin pedestals...is there an in-game mod for placing pedestals for the mannequin mods? I looked for such a while back and didn't notice one on the nexus.... ...Makes one what to rip thru Reznod's scripts to build such a mod (with Rez's blessing). Of course you can use item codes and the placement altar mod.
  3. + 1 to Hickory's comment: I've moved stuff around before to suit others, even when a prominent moderator here advised me against it. Even with help, it was very time consuming. Also, a + 1 for Grumf_be, in reference to an idea; I've always meant to script in guild banners that would appear after you've joined a guild, such as mages, fighters, etc. Appearing over a "place of honor", so to speak, a common room or even on the front of your dwelling. Last time i tried to though, I couldn't get the scripting to work correctly. Bad scripts in a mod can cause some weird errors, and the "banner" scripting at the time on my incomplete mod may not have been the culprit ; forewarned is forearmed! BTW, You can easily modify the healing alter script to a custom one, so that you can be healed more than once a day. You're probably already aware of that. People seem to like house mods that let you order your NPCs around. I didn't check to see if you mod FO as well. I seem to remember that FO3 had a invest in a vendor option where you could order the vendor to invest more heavily in certain types of items. If I were to use my "business" option in another housing mod in the future, I would script that option in for the TES mod. Just an extra way to order your NPCs around! (hint hint, If you want to rip the scripting out of mine and use it in yours, i would like to see the change done, lol)
  4. Sadly, as much as I liked the original Duke (which was made moddable), if DNF isn't mod-capable, I don't think it should be a Nexus site. I've waited a long time for Duke; but these sites are mostly about mods. I don't think Duke Nukem would have lasted as long, and been as big a deal as it was at the time, if someone had not made it accessible to changes and new maps/games. If Dark0ne doesn't want it here, then that's that, as it were. Moddable are not.....
  5. Urbex may quite be right. As far as overclocking, the "turbo" setting in BIOS should safely overclock and iCore processor.
  6. I'm playing Fallout 3 on a Core 2 Quad....does great. Memory Ram and the video card are more important in gaming.
  7. Hey Yoba! Parts is Parts...I love looking at parts! Here's a build list. BTW, I have heard that current opinions on the i5/i7 debate is that you will not see much of a performance boost in one over the other in gaming. ---(~ 1500 USD, without the HD)--- Intel Core i7-2600K Sandy Bridge 3.4GHz (3.8GHz Turbo Boost) LGA 1155 95W Quad-Core Desktop Processor BX80623I72600K ( the "k" means it's unlocked and ready to overclock!) (and it's Sandy Bridge MB chipsets that currently are the above mentioned problem child) GIGABYTE GA-H67A-UD3H LGA 1155 Intel H67 HDMI SATA 6Gb/s USB 3.0 ATX Intel Motherboard (ATI CrossfireX ready) CORSAIR Hydro H70 CWCH70 120mm High Performance CPU Cooler (liquid cooler with 2 fan radiator) VisionTek 900338 Radeon HD 6870 1GB 256-bit GDDR5 PCI Express 2.0 x16 HDCP Ready CrossFireX Support Video Card with Eyefinity (times 2 in crossfire mode) Microsoft Windows 7 Ultimate 64-bit 1-Pack for System Builders - OEM ----------------------------------------------- WD VelociRaptor 10,000rpm 16mb cache SATA Hard Drive(s) (but i don't think you will really need a 1 Tb HD, and faster/more cache is always better.) There's a review of the CPU cooler at HardwareSecrets.com; i haven't read it yet, and an article on the Antec 1200. Happy building!
  8. I think ub3rman's got it right. Make his quest script (make sure it's set to the quest script type), save it, and then make a new quest. Go the the new quest's Quest Data tab and Check "start game enabled", and select your script in the script box. You may have to click on the Quest Stages tab and check "complete quest", not sure on that part, and it may not even matter.
  9. Check out review sites like hardwaresecrets.com....you might just find vid card reviews using the programs and tech that interests you, with benchmarks.
  10. I think Urbex is right, i5 would be fine...., but if you are set on a i7 system, well here's a partial list o' parts  Intel Core i7-2600K Sandy Bridge 3.4GHz (3.8GHz Turbo Boost) LGA 1155 95W Quad-Core Desktop Processor BX80623I72600K GIGABYTE GA-H67A-UD3H LGA 1155 Intel H67 HDMI SATA 6Gb/s USB 3.0 ATX Intel Motherboard (ATI CrossfireX ready, just double your video order if you want 2 vid cards!) CORSAIR Hydro H70 CWCH70 120mm High Performance CPU Cooler (liquid cooler with 2 fan radiator) VisionTek 900338 Radeon HD 6870 1GB 256-bit GDDR5 PCI Express 2.0 x16 HDCP Ready CrossFireX Support Video Card with Eyefinity (times 2 for crossfire mode) WD VelociRaptor 10,000rpm 16mb cache SATA HD drive (or 2 if you want to run in RAID) I would get at least a 700 watt power supply; I like the Antec PS's currently. I have a Antec 850W TruePower Quattro right now, it's a little overkill, but i got it about 2 years ago on a discount deal, and I've had no problems with it on my current system. Happy Building! :P
  11. Well, for video, you can get this at NewEgg for under 250 USD: Radeon HD 6870 1GB 256-bit GDDR5 PCI Express 2.0 x16 ATI cards are usually cheaper than Nvidia (and no, I'm not an ATI fanboy, my current card is a GeForce 260) :)
  12. Look up mods by user "Centurion" on the Oblivion Nexus. Those are some on my favorite castle mods! There may be one for you.
  13. I remember having several good conversions with Johannes in live chat. I will miss them, and him.
  14. just BEFORE the "Else" in the OnActivate Block, add these to lines for removing rads; player.RestoreAV RadiationRads 1000000 Showmessage HD00InfirmaryRadsMessage oh, BTW, anyone who wants to use the script or mod i've posted, don't bother me with asking, just take it!
  15. several ounces sodium hydroxide empty soda bottle with lid "tinfoil" sling shot paper bag running shoes one McDonald's coffee cup of deuterium oxide
