  1. Color me impressed, that actually worked! Thanks! I copied all the good stuff from the broken esp to a new esp, as opposed to copying good stuff from broken to the vanilla esp directly (which was the first thing I tried).
  2. Copy and paste what? You mean to create an actual patch to the broken replacer-patch and just copy the interior edits to a new blank esp? And then of course change the master from the broken to the original mod... Hmm Should I use a new esp with the broken esp master to just change the form ids of the new items? This way they will retain their positioning but also remain in the patch, otherwise they'd be missing references to the broken esp once the master is changed, afaik. Or can I copy the cell edits to a new esp via xedit? Some objects are newly added, while others have been repositioned, so it's the latter that I am not sure if it would work...
  3. What would I do with the patch that I spent dozens of hours working on? How do I save my edited interior from the ruined exterior?
  4. I really hope someone can give me an idea for a solution to this nightmare. In short: a mod has adds an interior cell and modifies its exterior area. I worked on a patch of the interior for many hours - on the original .esp, not a new one. Finally finished, playtested the exterior just to be sure - statics misplaced, items that are initially disabled and only appear after scripts are run (I assume) are now present from start. Did not touch the exterior, yet it is completely messed up. w.h.at. t.h.e. f. Is there any way I can restore the exterior to the original mod? I tried merging the two esps, but zEdit fails at merging them. I have no ideas what to do, stuck in this limbo one inch from salvation. I would much appreciate if someone can help.
  5. 200 mods, SE, Vortex installation, Wrye bashed patch, SSedit sorted masters, LOOT order, only one Skyproc patch (ASIS). The game works flawlessly. Literally suddenly, after several days of playing, the game crashes when the options in the main menu appear. *No changes* done whatsoever (e.g. load order). Same thing happened when the April update was rolled by Bethesda (I was still on NMM then), so I blamed that and after days of trying solutions, abandoned it. Until this week, I started the game again, it just worked, on its own. Regardless, I did a clean install, everything in order, and then it happened again, out of the blue. I'll attach my load order (even though I don't know what mod would cause issues only after several days), while my ini files were not modified other than what Bethini did. No papyrus logs because the game does not load a save (if it did, it would work). I've also tried renaming the meshes folder, to no avail. If you have encountered such a problem, *please help*.
  6. the instructions said only to rollback the skyrim.exe, so no idea what happens when you rollback esm files too. Ah, but I did that first. I tried the new and the old exe, I tried the new and the old esm files, all combinations. Even checked with loot and tried to see what files were modified by date (all of the above mentioned). The game still crashes at the main menu. 200+ mods worked perfectly fine until yesterday so it's only bugthesda to blame for ruining my holiday.
  7. I downloaded the old exe with the console and even replaced the esm files with the ones I luckily had backed up. And I checked to see if there were any newly modified files left. But no. The game still crashes at the main screen...
