  1. I'm the guy who posted that video a couple of years ago. So I figured out whats causing this, but no idea why. Some people suggested it was caused by the great runes slotted into the weapon, but from my testing (So far) it turns out that some swords have this audio issue. Pretty much every green crafted sword have this audio bug, while most of the orange looted swords are working fine. Get a 100% save from somewhere with a ton of swords in storage and play around a bit with both silver and steel sword enemies. I found that some orange grade looted swords still have this issue, but most of them sound normal. Haven't tested the rune theory, but my theory is a work in progress.
  2. Hi all First of all - no, this isn't a joke. I'm a diehard Witcher fan. Played through all 3 games countless times, literally too many to count. But ever since TW3 Next gen rolled out, countless people, including myself, have been dealing with a muffled audio issue. It happens when any sword (Steel or Silver) hits an enemy. Instead of sounding crisp like it did in patch 1.32 (Prior to next-gen), it sounds extremely muffled and quite. I've tried multiple fixes on the internet. Disabling audio enchantments, turning off dolby atmos, using different audio outputs and frequencies. I've tested it on 3 different systems. Almost 2 years at this point and I still haven't been able to fix it. There is something weird going on with the game itself. I'm hoping someone might be able to crack down on it since we a have complete freedom with modding. I was even thinking if someone would replace old sounds with some different ones that sound fitting. that would work if those sounds aren't distorted. Here is the video in case someone wonders how it sounds for me. If you have any more questions, feel free to ask.
