  1. Hello everyone!

I thought I'd share with you, my website which I've slowly been building up and is growing more and more. Initially starting as a gaming review platform, we quickly grew to include movies, manga, tv shows etc
We aim to be a platform to provide a voice to everyone. That means you can sign up to write on our website as well. Giving you a platform for your voice. You don't need an English degree, or to be a professional writer, just a passion for what you're writing about (and an attitude which goes along with our goals, we are LGBTQ+ ran after all!).

Our ultimate aim is to give you somewhere to share your opinions & reviews on all things entertainment, be they good or bad, away from any media influence. We're slowly growing and have so much more in the pipeline, such as a Twitch TV Channel, more video content, Book & Gaming challenges... The list goes on!

Take a look at our current website here - https://pendingplays.co.uk/

We have multiple social media profiles you can connect to, all through our website to.
One of our more recent achievements is being read by the voice of Gav himself from Final Fantasy XVI! I'm very proud our website is getting that reach!

I'd love to hear any feedback you have!

  2. Hey hey!

So I used to stream over on Twitch but found myself less loving the stream, and more in to designing the overlays for my streams.

I eventually stopped streaming and since then have done some work on overlays for others! I'll share a few designs here, and I'd love your feedback!

For file size and other reasons, some animated ones won't show animation when uploaded but I have done some of those as well as static!

(Edit: nvm, I've had to put them like this instead due to file sizes and didn't want to link to a post on Twitter!)

  3. Nexus is actually the only forum I'm a member of! Albeit not an active one. I tend to use Discord more now, especially as I run my own LGBT+ server.

So I may be bias but I think my Discord server is one of my favourites :P

  4. Well hello!

It's been a bloody long time since I've been here and I thought I should show my face again now that I have a PC to actually game on, I can be more involved!

I'm Aaron, previously known as Gamerbird, now more commonly I go by Names_Pending.
I'm from the UK, and obviously I enjoy gaming otherwise I wouldn't be here! Favourite series is Resident Evil <3

As a hobby, I run an LGBT+ community on Discord (Twitter, Insta an Facebook too!), but I also design Twitch Overlays (I no longer stream but I enjoy the designing bit!) and have dipped in to Game Dev a bit as well, releasing a few Android games.

I hope to be active here more, so say hi and feel free to drop me messages or anything :D

  5. Shift was good fun,

I'll chat via NMM PrivateMessage further on that one.

Slimeclimb was not as fun for me personally. I did see some similarities between it and Color Clash though.

Thank you! Personally I think the two are my best games I've made! :)

  6. Sorry to bump an old post!

I've released two more games since my last post, both simple android games which you can download completely free!

    SHIFT

    https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.Names_Pending.Shift

Maneuver your ship to greatness! How many points can you collect in this retro styled arcade game? Loosely based around some of the great classics, this easy to pick up, hard to master game is great for those both young and old!

    Slime Climb

    https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.NamesPending.SlimeClimb

Challenge yourself in this vertical climb in the sky! Control your slime by a simple press to change it's direction and glide through the gaps. How far can your slime climb?

Let me know what you think of these games! I'm looking to soon move on to developing on to PC, via Facebook or Kongregate, which would people prefer?

  7. So I may have no released another game!

When the old bird isn't enough...

See how far you can shoot in this mature version of a well known mobile game! Condoms replace the pipes, sperm replaces the bird and the inner vagina replaces the city background.

With simple one touch controls, fire your way through the vast reaches and brag to your friends with how far you can shoot! Use the 'Tweet your score!' button to show to your friends that your little swimmers are the best and you have no need for the little blue pill just yet!

Go download Fappy Sperm! Link in my signature :)

  8. sweet!

    they look like fun.

they look like some sidescrollers' I'd play in-game in another game,

like say the Arcade Settlement in Fallout 4 etc.

it's like retro8bit stuff, like at 8bitguy or ThisWeekInTech/retrogames etc.

    the audio-design is fun stuff.

there is something to be said for the minimalism aesthetic,

    and that nostalgia is real.

For Color Clash - if you did an E8 structure/ Leibniz-gasket n'th dimensional variant based on glomes etc,

that'd actually be a great introductory tool to show folks about higher dimensions

you could then introduce stuff like Jaroslav Kurzweil, Grigori Perleman etc,

    and their approaches to topology...

it'd be interesting to see that. as there's already like a tetris/rubiks-cube kinda thing going on,

I want to see what folks at Gardiner Game Expo would think about it.

that color matching also reminds me of

Mandelbrot/Fractal Explore Zooms, so, that'd be interesting to

key the animations to the state of the puzzle-solution,

the 2D-3D decal applique animation etc.

Thank you :) I'm going to look in to all of those! Got some really cool ideas for my next projects!

Plants vs Zombies is a good game to have for Android os.

I'd love if mine could get as big as that!

  9. Gz81Ir9.jpg

Hey all! Some of you may remember me from some good few years back when I used to be an active member on this community.

I was working with a few guys/gals here on making my first game. Well it didn't work out to well and with my life getting on top of me, the project died.

However leap forward all these years and I have actually finally done what I set out to achieve all those years ago.

I have released my two first games out on the Android store!

My first one was Defence Force: Crash Course.

It took me a while with this one, learning as I went along the way but it turned out to be pretty impressive for me personally.

Holding either left or right on your screen to move in the respective direction to maneuver and dodge the incoming ships for as long as you can. That's not your only threat! Your ship is crashing! It's prone to malfunction in one of three ways, look out for the red warning and prepare to react quickly to keep building your score!

However my biggest achievement to date. definitely has to be Colour Clash!

This one proved to be a challenge as I struggled to come up with a Graphic set I thought worked well with the overall premise of what I was trying to achieve. Originally I wished to give it a more 3D style, however it didn't work quite as I wanted it to.

Colour Clash is a game of colour matching that's both free but challenging to play. By rotating the Circle in the centre of the screen, you must match the colours with the incoming balls. The more you match, the harder it gets!

    Current features include:

    - Post high score to Twitter

    - Increase your speed of rotation

    - Change background in the Shop Menu

    - Purchase the challenging Colour Swap mode! (with gained in game currency)

    - Mute in-game music

A fun, free game for an on the go Puzzle Challenge! By using in-game currency (NO MICROTRANSACTIONS!) you can unlock the super challenging Colour Swap mode! This mode swaps the colours at the beginning of the game, making it even harder to match the colours as you're going along!

I'd love if any of you could give them a go and let me know what you think! I'm always looking to improve on my ideas and add new updates whilst working on new projects! Click the links in my bio to download! :)

    Thanks for reading guys! <3

  10. So I'm not on here all that often anymore, however today I got a random email from you guys/gals for 'Password recovery information'.

Is this something that's come from your site, or is someone trying to get in to my account?

I hope I've placed this in the right forum!

  11. A friend of mine has his tongue split and recently had it split further back. This is how he wanted to be, and fair play to him for going through with it. Another friend has wishes to become extremely cosmetic and adores Amanda Lapore who herself is pretty much a living plastic doll. To me it's people wanting to be how they imagine themselves to look, however I also believe that with severe cosmetic surgery which has no way of return (such as this) it should of really been thought about, with a psychiatric test first.

"Eccentric Mr Richards has given his severed ears to a friend who "will appreciate them"

Because he hadn't heard from him?

    I AM SCREAMING OMG

  12. So me and my friend are currently working on a YouTube channel where we're uploading GamePlay videos, Commentary videos and Vlogs with quite a few already up. As we're just starting we're still getting over the little nags here and there but we're making good progress and our proudest achievement to date would be:

    12027309_10207715996320099_2534477594129

The Official Capcom UK YouTube Account enjoying and commenting on one of our Resident Evil Revelations 2 - Suicide Mission commentaries! We have so much planned for the channel from Vlog Challenges, to Gameplay challenges and more. So please give us a view, subscribe and stick around for more. We really appreciate every view we get!

So far we have gameplay for Super Time Force Ultra and Resident Evil Revelations 2, but have some Mortal Kombat X and Injustice Gods Among Us on the way!

Thank you for taking your time to read this!

(PS Sorry Mods if this isn't allowed, or if this is the wrong forum. I wasn't too sure)

  13.

Why do children 'need' to be educated on same sex relationships?

You state that children could be confused. So do you want to confuse them more, or do you want to indoctrinate them? As things are now parents cannot opt out of sex education for their children, since educators and bureaucrats know what is best and families don't.

Oregon's HERC now has a policy in place to allow 15 year olds to get puberty suppressing drugs, sex reassignment surgeries and cross sex hormones without parental consent. These same 15 year olds aren't responsible enough to go on a school field trip without parental consent, but they can get a state funded sex change. They cannot drive, hold a hazardous job, or even operate the deep frier at McDonald's, but they can get gender reassignment. Does that really make sense to anyone?

There is a limit social progressiveness, and that is what parents want for their children. Values start at home with loved ones, not with liberal agenda bureaucrats and educators.

YEEE HAAA! I completely, whole-heartedly, 110% agree with you. If I could give kudos here, I would.

No what I'm trying to say is, that by discussing the various Genders, Sexualities etc, it may help children come to terms with who they are. Not only that, it would show the younger generation that these things are normal and perfectly acceptable.

I don't see how such a thing would be necessary. The purpose of sexual education is to help educate about both the biological processes that young persons are going through as well as make them aware of contraceptives and means of limiting risk of STDs. The important parts of this don't matter how you identify. Keep the content informative and without political agenda, and you'll accomplish this purpose. Drag political agenda or social progressiveness into it will bring the whole idea under fire intentionally or unintentionally by those who oppose any part of it, real or imagined. And when tax dollars are being used, those oppositions usually become heated.

When adults and experts still don't have much understanding of human sexuality, trying to teach this to children at the same time will only lead to confusion. When you have a society where hatred and bigotry speak louder than tolerance and common sense, While helping guide young people towards finding themselves is a good thing, guiding them with wrong information or because of social/political pressures can do more harm than good. Our society simply isn't enlightened enough to deal with this sort of topic at this time and should be more focused on resolving the prejudices and misinformation within that society before trying to pull children into the middle of everything.

Whilst I agree that it will cause some trouble, maybe having the option to opt out would suffice? It's not a case of any sort of political agenda at all (such as the apparent gay agenda) however I do think that at least touching on the subject would help many young people who are struggling to come to terms with who they are. Along with understanding more about the various forms of sex.

  14. Evening all!

This is something that I've been thinking about myself for a good while now and I want to find out other peoples opinions on the topic. We've all been through school or are currently going through it and had some form of Sex Education. However (I know certainly for me) there was a lack of any form of education towards Same Sex relationships. To me, this is obviously something that I feel should have been covered as many children could be going through that confusing time of understanding who they are and with the subject being washed over an not mentioned, this may make the child feel more confused.

Personally I also believe it to be quite dangerous to not be educated as what you learn comes from what you hear within the gay community or search for yourself which may not always be true. By not educating the children in Same Gender Sex, we are possibly causing serious harm to them further down the line.

What I want to know is, what are your points of view on this? Do you think it should be taught, if not, why?

  15. I'm going to add a few words to this, developing a game isn't as easy as it seems and demands A LOT of time and teamwork. I not only went to college to study Games Development, but also worked on a Game for quite some time with some members from the Nexus itself and unless you are all 100% dedicated to giving most if not all of your spare time to the project, it will fall through.

Make sure you have EVERYTHING mapped out before even starting because that's where the project is likely to begin failing. So plan, plan, plan before you do anything. Also as mentioned above, it is worth to at least have some idea on what direction, the story and genre you are hoping for your game to go in to before asking for help. That way you'll get people who are interested in specifics of games to consider helping :)
