146 Active Mods, 610 hours on record total, and probably around ~30 hours at most on any one particular character. Habitual "better start over" player. I've finished the main quest before, but haven't done any DLC (official or otherwise), and have a tendency of destroying my saves with script-heavy mod abuse.

I was just about to pick up a new video card, because my second-hand GTX 460 1gb ain't cutting it with all the added HD textures. Throw a modest ENB on there and it's stutter city. Thanks for the info in this thread. I had a 680 4gb picked out and it seems like the appropriate choice.

To answer your first question, yes, you can set your skills in game to whatever you want without needing a mod. The particular console commands you need are "incPCS" or "AdvSkill," which differ in their complexity and whether or not the skill gains increase your player level. The console command for adding perks is as simple as "addPerk" followed by the perk ID. An exhaustive list of console commands can be found here. Keep in mind that dinking around with console commands can have ugh... "unintended consequences," so always keep a backup save. The Creation Kit is pretty handy for tweaking item stats, but obviously there's a considerable learning curve.

I have hesitated to check out Wyre Bash and BOSS because they seemed... difficult, for a derpy old mouthbreather like myself, but your well articulated post has convinced me to try them anyways. Here's praying I don't explode my computajigger.

You know you're having fun when you've got armor loaded in NifSkope and you're trying to adjust it to fit on a cabbage. That didn't pan out for me.

I think it's looking like the author pulled it himself. Whether he did it because of the negative backlash from the SERIOUS BUSINESS modders, or if he did it while cackling maniacally at having duped a heap of nerds into endorsing a gag mod, is still uncertain.

Modding is serious business, people. Get that stupid Cabbage in a Pot out of the Hot Files, and make room for another glossy bellybutton ring.

I also shot him a PM but haven't heard back; personally, after seeing the way some of the people were treating him in that mod thread, I'd have a pretty sour taste in my mouth regarding the Nexus community as a whole.

I had just installed a second Cabbage in a Pot, and was retexturing some skimpy armor for Krautie's girlfriend Savoyana, when the mod got deleted.
