  1. Ok so I had quite a few mods installed for a machinima I was working on and now have put ont he shelf because Skyrim keeps crashing to desktop upon starting a new game. Since I dont have any old saves to revert to I dont know what to do. I've un-installed all mods and all I have is the 3 DLC Packs released for Skyrim: Dawnguard, Hearthfire and Dragon Born. Its still crashes. So I tried un-installing the entire game, deleteing everything My computer had on it then re-downloading the entire game again. And it still crashes. So what do I do now? I have the steam version of it if that helps. I also dont run SKSE anymore I uninstalled that after the latest patch for skyrim was beyond the latest SKSE Patch and the two wouldn't work so thats out of the picture. I then took a look at my computer itself, and went and looked to make sure all my drivers are up to date, but again skyrim is still crashing on starting a new game. Anyone have any idea why its doing this?

Hey I'm new to this modding thing so please dont flame me for being a noob and asking these noob questions. * How do you make custom outfits and compile them to be used in the 2 outfit drop tabs under the inventory tab on the creation kit? * Is there an easy/quick way to re-assign an entire factions outfit/outfits or will I need to go through, actor by actor? * If I have CC from one Mod and CC from another mod and want to utilize both for the same existing faction or for a new one how would I go about doing that? (Before you think to ask, No I havn't gotten permissions yet but its next down the list of my creating my factions plus this is for a Machinima I'm working on so I wont be redistributing anything and once the movie is done I'll be deleting the merged files because I'll no longer have any use for them. Though I always give creit where it's due so names (or screen names) or modders mods I used and those who helped me along the way will be going in the scrolling credits of my end of my movie. Just remember: Machinima = Free advertising = More Endorsments :P) * Whats the typical timeframe for the process of creating a faction and giving it a stronghold to stay in? To give you an Idea, the Faction would probably have about 15 Unique Actors and about 50 or so Guards/Unnamed Actors. * For the questions above to which I just asked; is there going to be a lot of scripting and code writing involved for those tasks? I'm not going to be making any quests or intricate player/npc enteractions I just need bodies, wearing the proper armour and weapons, standing in the right spot at the wrong time :P Their there to look good and get slain (more or less).
  3. Yeah I'm just starting to attempt to learn to mod Skyrim. I did a bit of modding for M&B:Warband (using .py files) but I'm pretty much done with that game until Bannerlord is Released. Anyways I've been working on a machinima for a bit now just got the storyline and screen play written and am now onto the very thing you mentioned, needing a list of leveled actors so I can modifiy specific factions armour and weapons so they better appear/represent the timeframe and story that my machinima will be telling. :) At the very least I could use a tut on how to make Outfits. Any Idea on if there are any tutorials out there yet for for modifing the items and armour a specific faction gets, or creating outfits or adding new factions?
  4. yeah it didnt work. I couldn't find any mention of the what file he modded to do that and I tried downloading to see which files they were, maybe to compare to the vanilla ones to see what exactly was changed but because my internet connection sucks balls everytime i download I get about 10 pop errors that say the download files are corrupted and to redownload them. after about 20 times of this I've given up. I've exhausted myself to the brink of insanity looking for relevant information on how to do what i want to do and haven't found anything thus far thats helped my understanding of how to do this. So with this, I give up my machinima is just going to have to be inaccurate in that area where realism is concerned. Oh well.
  5. Is it possible to relocate the location my character equips a greatsword to? So in otherwords can I change the location the greatsword is equiped to, from the back (Vanilla) to where the single-handed sword's location is (and where I want it to be)? I'm doing a machinima and carrying swords on your back for the time peroid I'm shooting for isnt very accurate, though there are some expecptions to this rule for sake of the storyline. Also, could just once specific sword type, say for the sake of example the Silver Greatsword, If I wanted that to still be two handed but be equiped on my person where the single handed swords usually go (left hip), could that be done or will it change the location for all greatswords to where the single handed swords go? Also something just came to my attention, If it is possible, It would be far easier to just take a specific single handed sword, one in which I've been wanting to use anyways: the silver longsword, and make it a greatsword. Would this be possible to do without changing its size, texture and/or equipment location on my characters body. I have some experience using .py files for some mods i did with M&B:WB but it has been awhile and I've never claimed to be a super-tech modhero, my skills have always been pretty meagere at best so please keep that in mind when explaining to my noob a&& how to do all of this stuff, if it can be done at all. :) thanks to anyone who takes time out of their day to lend a few words of advice.
