Hello all, So after some looking around the mods, i noticed that some of them allow you to modify the way your gear is displayed For example Auto Unequip arrows, dual sheaths when dual wielding, and that one mod called armed to the teeth which displays everything and your grandmother. I am wondering how these mods go about doing this. Is it via script? Or somehow in the creation kit? I have been hunting though the creation kit for my answers and testing different things on the weapons (hide in backpack, changing animation types, changing weaptypes to axe since that's the node I want to display in), with no luck. I feel like it should just be simple enough to say "Hey you shield, display on my back node, or left 1h appear on my right side when sheathed." I am not really caring about any drawing animation (reaches back for the shield or left had reaches for the sword, etc) I am only concerned with getting these items to display. Where in the creation kit are the weapons assigned their nodes, and how do I affect them? Thanks

  3. Basic question, How do I create my own poison recipe and have it craft-able to the alter. I can't find any posts related to this, a poison recipe, or a way to highlight the alchemy table for crafting. Suggestions please :)

  5. Basically I am wondering how you would go about modding all of the races fresh off the cart, to start with items other than the prison rags you start with. So for example I am playing a custom race, and i have custom armor for that race, how do I have that race start skyrim with the custom armor?
  6. Hello, I apologize if this may have been answered somewhere down the line but for the life of me (and the last few hours) i cannot find the answer. Objective : Create a new Race based off of the Khajiit race...essentially with a new texture...lets say a cheetah skin for simplicity Problem : I cannot get the right body texture to appear AND have armor visable in game. Now before someone goes and says "oh well thats armor race, and you need to make a new nakedskin and #$%^&". Thank you, but I know that. Here is what I have done : 1. Created a new race by duplicating the Khajiit race and renaming it 2. Created new texture sets Skinhand, skinbody, skinhead 3. Create new armor addons for hands, feet, tail, and torso 4. Create new headpart with appropriate texture 5. Create new armor incorporating the armor addons SkinNakedBody 6. Assign the new skin and head part in the New race menu Everything shows up properly when I view it. The right head texture, the right body texture everything. It even runs in skyrim almost exactly how I want it to. However, though I can equip armor...and gain its abilities/bonuses...It is not visable so my kitty is running around in the buff. I know this is normally caused by having NONE selected in Armor Race...However as soon as I switch it to Khajiit race...my body disappears all over again and when i try to run skyrim it has the afflicited skin texture (gross)...but armor is displaying properly....Normally I would think that I need to somehow duplicate/rename/select a selection option like this but no such option is available. Simplified question...knowing the above...how can I get skyrims armor to show up on my Kitty? Last bit of info...I am not using any custom meshes, and morph race is also set to NONE because that messes it up too. Thanks in advance and I hope someone has the answer for this. :smile: ************************EDIT******************** Sorry to have wasted anyones time I figured it out. For whatever reason my kitty wasnt showing up on the amoraddons for the gear already there (imperiallightcuirassAA etc). With morph and armor race set to NONE and my kitty selected for the AA everything works now. :)
