  1. Hey I've noticed that the sky on the moon and other similar places looks really odd and was just wondering if anyone else has this issue or knows what to do to rectify it? I've attached two screenshots of what I mean. Also, when I used the rectangular mode snipping tool to take the screen shot (print screen) it made the image look really vibrant and then once the screenshot had been taken and I closed the snipping tool, the images went back to looking quite washed out! So the screenshots I've posted look a lot nicer than how my game usually looks. Weird. HDR issue? Gamma? Brightness? https://ibb.co/DR6cfpk https://ibb.co/rMtqbGn
  2. Well done for finding a solution I was then about to give up on modding Game Pass Skyrim! Will now try out your fix  Edit: just edited my ini and voila- texture mods are now working on my game! Thank you so much for finding a solution to this- Game Pass has just gotten a whole lot better!
  3. Can anyone else test out whether they are able to install texture mods for Game Pass Skyrim through Vortex? If you manage to get them to work then I'd be really grateful if you could tell me how you did it :)
  4. So I've tried other texture mods and I get the same result as with SMIM- I don't think texture mods work at all through Vortex for the Game Pass version of Skyrim SE. SMIM does however work if you download it from the Skyrim main menu official mods section so there is obviously some sort of compatibility issue between Vortex and Game Pass Skyrim SE when it comes to texture/mesh files as mods with a simple esp and no texture changes such as Alternate Start work fine. If anyone can manage to get texture mods to work for Skyrim on Game Pass through Vortex then please let me know and give me a detailed description of how you did it. But for now, I am pretty sick of trying to get Vortex to mod Game Pass Skyrim!
  5. Yes they Are. Did you 1. INSTALL 2. ENABLE 3. DEPLOY the mods? I just can't get SMIM to work. I've installed it, enabled it and deployed it but nothing has changed in game  Should I change from Hardlink Deployment to Move Deployment maybe? NO!!!! Hardlink Deployment is the Proper Deployment method. Does the installation menu for the mod show up when you install it? You should get a ton of Install Options Ok I'll keep it on Hardlink Deployment then lol and yes the installation menu comes up when I install it and the choices are: "everything", "lite", "very lite" and "custom". I clicked the "everything" option before was that the wrong one?

  7. Well I've finally gotten Vortex to work and have installed the Unofficial Patch and Alternate Start through it so hooray! However, I have a new problem: I installed the Static Mesh Improvement Mod but when I go into the game there are no changes and the textures are still all vanilla? Any ideas anyone? It looks to me like texture mods aren't possible on the Game Pass version of Skyrim SE which would be a massive shame
  8. You just follow the same steps, the thing that's going to be different is the folder where it's installed I tried pointing Vortex to the modifiablewindowsapps Skyrim SE folder and installing mods but nothing seems to come up in game. I still don't really understand how to get mods to work on Skyrim SE Game Pass and there doesn't seem to be one step by step video or guide out there for getting mods to work on Game Pass Skyrim :/ I'd really appreciate a step by step guide to get Nexus mods to come up in game as I'm so confused right now :(
  9. Hey thanks for your reply would you mind telling me how to get Skyrim 2020 Parallax and other mods to work on Game Pass Skyrim SE? And are you basically saying that the Unoffical Patch isn't working thanks to the way I installed it? (I just copied and pasted the bsas, esps, etc into the main data folder lol) but I know Alternate Start is working as the jail cell is what greets you when you start a new game and you can select where you want to start in Skyrim etc What I'm telling you is, since you mentioned that you finally got the Unofficial Patch to work without Vortex, then I assumed that Vortex was warning you that the Unofficial Patch isn't compatible with that version, and needs 1.5.97 version of Skyrim, so you went ahead and installed it without Vortex, and are now not seeing the incompatibility warnings that Vortex would be giving you. You install mods like the parallax mod like any other mod in 2021, you install them with a Mod Manager like Vortex. Especially considering that a texture mods is going to have a lot of files to install. People are using Vortex just fine with Gamepass Skyrim, the only thing you cannot install and have it work, is any mod that requires SKSE64, because just like with the Unofficial Patch, doesn't work with the updated gamepass skyrimse.exe https://www.game-debate.com/news/30399/skyrim-special-edition-on-game-pass-can-be-modded-but-is-severely-limited Hi thanks for your help I'll now uninstall the mods I installed without a mod manager and use Vortex. Could you show me how to install mods through Vortex? Or point me towards a decent guide to installing mods on Game Pass Skyrim SE with Vortex. I'd really appreciate it. And I'm not too bothered about missing out on SKSE mods I just want to make Skyrim look really, really nice haha There's tutorials and videos built right into Vortex for that Is that in the "knowledge base" section? Been looking through it and can't see anything about game pass :/

  12. I've manually gotten the Unofficial Patch and Alternate Start to work (without Vortex) in Skyrim SE but I was just wondering if it is possible to install mods like Skyrim 2020 Parallax on the Game Pass version? I can't actually see a textures folder in the modifiablewindowsapps/Skyrim Special Edtion (PC) folder so I'm guessing texture mods aren't possible but I just want to double check with people on here. Any help would be really appreciated :)
  13. I've just been testing the mod out :) It's really good for an inital release and is coming on nicely. Falkreath is especially well done- it looks like a genuine forest clearing. :) I hate to report problems/bugs though, but its a necessary evil. I noticed some things to fix for an update: - Seem to be lanterns floating everywhere where citites were - There are floating window lights of Dragonsreach and other Whiterun buildings (is this ELFX maybe?) - Also a few floating braziers in Whiterun (is this ELFX again?) - There are still a few pesky guards about where cities were. There were some completely naked guards with no heads in Whiterun lol - Looking in the distance, there are some purple squares dotted about. They look like they are from a missing lod texture for a rock or something maybe? - There were floating, spinning windmill sails around Whiterun - The hill which Whiterun was on needs some serious flattening. Its like the surface of the moon atm lol - Theres the odd NPC farmer or drunkard etc still standing around This mod, in time, will become truly excellent. It will be perfect for a pure survival/exploration play through. I am very grateful that you have made this mod and tbh I am still really surpirsed that you made it at all! Once again, thankyou. P.s I am looking forward to the new ruins where the cities were and all of your other plans for the mod. The idea of a primitive Skyrim with early settlements sounds good too. Remember that for explorers who collect loot and stuff, they will still need a trader here and there, so I hope you'll keep some small villages like Riverwood etc. :)
  14. Now downloading :D Going to take a while to download on my connection but I'm sure it will be worth it :P
  15. Wow the features of this mod sound brilliant! Thanks for all your hard work :D And you don't have to apologize for any inconvenience regarding a delay- everyone is grateful that you are making the mod at all!
