every time I try I get that message... path does not contain EXE.

Hello all. I am very new to skyrim and modding. 1st off on my C drive I have 21 GB of space. So I DL skyrim and steam in my D drive that has 756 GB of free space... now I am trying to use NMM but it looks for my ESO online and cannot find it.Tells me the "path does not contain game EXE." I am so green to this I should not own a computer lol. any help would be grand.
