How big is Cyrodiil?

Well it's said that the distance from red mountain to mournhold in morrowind is roughly 250km. My guess is that, lore-wise cyrodiil is the same size of province so i'd say it was around 250-300km. However, the size of the province was likely scaled down for gameplay.
