  1. To clarify some assumptions implied in your description, you are using assets from the "Bourgeois Banana Hotel Set" but that plugin is in the form of an ESP file? And by "loaded over" you mean "loaded before"? That being the case ...

The GECK does not allow ESP files to be "masters" (providing assets used by "dependent" mods such as yours). You need to first change the "Banana" ESP into an ESM file using FNVEdit. Please see "TIP - Master files" under the "Common Problems with GECK" section of the wiki "Getting started creating mods using GECK" article. Once you have saved your plugin and verified "Banana" is now required as a "master" and the assets records are in your mod, you can reverse the ESM "flag" so it gets treated as an ESP as expected.

A common enough "trick" question we added it to the wiki, but most people new to the GECK don't know to check for our wiki article.

    -Dubious-

Oh my god I feel like a dumbass, thank you so much. I did look thru the table of contents in the wiki but didn't realize that section could fix it. Thank you a lot, and sorry for the trouble!

  2. Ohhh god I hope I'm not that damn idiot whose doing something obvious wrong that's been answered 10000000000 times over.

So I have the Bourgeois Banana Hotel Set downloaded and I loaded it into my .esp in GECK, but after I save and close out GECK, all the furniture disappears. I'll put it back in, but it's gone again after I save and exit.

Don't know if it's imperative to know, but I do have my .esp as the active file, and Banana's .esp is loaded over my .esp.

Thanks, and again, sorry if this has been asked before, I haven't been able to find that thread...

  3. I was able to fix it by completely removing Fallout New Vegas and re installing it. Something might have corrupted in the files that the GECK needed or one of the mods possibly messed it up. If it was a mod, then if anyone find this with troubles with GECK finds this, I'll post up which one I think it might be. Again, I didn't have ENB when it crashed.

  4. Sorry sorry for the late reply! I tried doing what you said, moving it to my desktop, and I did add the files, put them in my Documents but it didn't work. I don't have ENB since it causes my game to get real laggy. Is there anything else I can do?

  5. I've look up and down for things that may help but I haven't found diddly squat. I know it's worked before on this exact computer, and I don't know why it's not working now. I can't remember exactly when this began happening, it just occurred one day. It's where it's supposed to be, in my steam folder inside the main file for F:NV, I've tried to run it as Administer, all the jazz, but nada. I saw someone mention the INI file for it, that you need to fix it some how, but since it never actually starts, it doesn't process the INI file. It's become hair pulling frustrating, so does anyone have ANYTHING that may help?

(Side note, I did have ENB but removed it completely, and as you may have guessed, nothing)

  6. I've been looking and looking but I can't find any help. It all started when I wanted to work on a new mod but it wouldn't load any data files so I tried re installing it, but it crashed someone said it was probably because of the ini files, in which I went to check and they weren't there. I'm sorry if I sound completely retarded for saying this, but I have no idea if they appear after the GECK loads or anything, I just have never had a problem like this with it so I didn't pay much attention to it. I continuously try using different tutorials and such but nothing i working out for me with it. I try taking it out of the steam file and nothing.
