Gold cap is hardcoded at least in d2lod and I think its the same in d2r, Imma check with bonesy really quick but I believe it's still hardcoded.

I can confirm that every single one of the D2RMM mods I have tried have worked, I have verified in their code by looking through their code and I have verified in game by looking in the game and I can see in the moddable game files that the files have been modified. You should go to the D2RMM mod page and very carefully read the instructions there and ensure that you are indeed following the instructions. I have been using D2RMM since release and it has worked 100% of the time, every time.
