  1. Hey everyone! A shoutout to all who still play Skyrim, with Fallout 4 being the newest Bethesda game so far. I have had some issues when downloading a mod from Nexus. I'm assuming that either people are assigning their own categories to their mods, or that there are new categories my mod manager just hasn't updated yet; because when I download something that is listed under a new mod category, it disappears. For example, downloading something from "Clothing - Jewelry" on the Nexus site doesn't send the mod to the mod manager's "Clothing" category. It doesn't even send it to "Unassigned" or "Miscellaneous," it just disappears. It claims that the mod downloaded successfully, I just can't find it. I have checked all mod categories and have also checked for the latest update, and both are null. Here is the question: A) Does anyone else have this problem? B) Is there a way to fix this? I haven't found any forums on this so I really don't know where to start. Any help would be tremendously appreciated. Thank you!
  2. That's an idea, I didn't think of that. I'm going to try that, and see what happens. That's exactly how it works in the Leaf Rest mod, a journal triggers the animation, so it's definitely possible. I'm not sure how to do it either, but they should. Thanks!
  3. Hey everyone! So I recently asked as a comment on the Leaf Rest house mod, is there a possible way to make a writing animation that is executable to the PC? My favorite part about the house mod is that you can create saves through writing in your "Diary." It plays a writing animation, then saves the game. I also use the mod, AE Animation (I believe it is on Steam) that allows the use of animations using the shout command. I'm just using this as an example, is it possible to add this writing animation as a "Power" like the others? It wouldn't necessarily need to save the game, I'm just interested in the animation itself. It's listed in the CK as an action, like the others (sweeping, eating, drinking), so I assume it's a possibility but I can be wrong. Does anyone know?
  4. Thank you Jokerine! The multitool is your mod. I use most of yours, really nice work by the way. :) This is perfect! It's just what I was hoping for, and it matches the real one. I also want to thank you for the candle and flowers, they add a nice touch and are perfect for the occasion. This is great! It makes me smile, and that's something I'm in need of right now. It's something positive to throw off the stirring negativity I'm not used to. I'm glad to see you working on mods for this game, despite it's age. I'm a huge fan of Fallout, and it's going to be quite some time before it gets too old to play. I really appreciate you taking the time to do this, the whole idea of it may seem lame but it holds a ton of sentimental value to me. It's a reminder that she would give you the clothes off of her back if you asked for them, and that's what I like to remember. I hope others will use it in the future, for whatever reason. I can't thank you enough for this, but I will. Thanks again! And thank you everyone for the condolences, you guys are great! :)
  5. Hi everyone, I have a request, that I hope is taken into consideration. I have been playing Fallout lately, and enjoying the mods quite a bit. As of yesterday, I received devastating news about a car accident involving a good friend and coworker, Sarah. She was a passenger in her boyfriend's car heading to Nashville, in which he was driving at extremely reckless speeds. They hit a rock wall and flipped the car. She didn't make it off of the interstate that day. She was a beautiful human being. The last thing she gave me was a set of bobby pins because my hair had been a crazy fro that day. We were working and she doesn't even hesitate to go to her car and dig, for over 20 minutes, looking for some bobby pins. We laughed about it, but as I keep looking at the one bobby pin I have left, I realize how much time I had taken for granted. I would do anything to take it back. I would simply like an item to be added into the game, a single bobby pin. A lucky bobby pin. I currently have a mod that adds a "multi-tool" to the game like the old Fallouts that gives a boost in Repair. I have also seen a mod that changes the lighter received in Boulder City to a "lucky lighter," and I was hoping this one could be done the same way. Just a world item, that can add luck and collect lent in your pocket. That's what mine does. I would like for it to be placed on the counter in the Gibson Scrap Yard building. We work at O'Reilly's, and at the counter is where she gave it to me. The Scrap Yard seems most practical when compared to our job. Lots of grease and dirty things. I would be willing to donate, if the option is available. This would make my gaming experience a lot closer to heart, and I know that many of you would think "why would I care?" It's just something that I would love to see, and it would make me happy. Please. Rest in Peace, Sarah. You will be missed.
  6. Hey everyone, I have another request, if the community doesn't mind. I was excited when I heard that you could finally become a bard in Skyrim, because I modded a ton of Oblivion to make a bard character. I was just playing as a bard character, trying to cure my boredom and find a new adventure in Skyrim, when I reached the initiation and festival. When I completed the bard quest and reached the initiation, I was slightly disappointed by what I saw. There was a total of what, around 10 people? The first thing it needs is more people. I have a hard time believing that the only festival known to be held in Skyrim is so small. I know that would be a pain to add more people who have schedules like sleeping, idle animation, etc. and it would be non-immersive to add ones that aimlessly wander. Would it be possible to make pre-existing NPCs attend the festival? There are many in Solitude that aren't there, and I think that's all it would take. Another thing is decorations. It would be neat to have a few more decorations and clutter around, just to make it feel more "fun" and less awkward. It's just an idea, but is there a way I can make this happen? Thank you!
  7. Because who would want that, right? It sounds odd, but can someone make a small mod that actually makes arrows (preferably iron) more expensive? I'm playing a Fletcher character, and stumbled across the sad realization that arrows are so cheap that you can't even sell them. I'm not sure if making them more expensive will give them a sale price, I'm just taking a shot in the dark thinking that the computer goes by percentages between selling and buying prices. (Don't hate, I'm not a rocket scientist) I've got an immensely small amount of experience with CK, and speaking honestly, I have no idea to even find out how that whole business works. So, is someone up to it? A huge please and thank you.
  8. Yeah! Exactly that. Just something a little less noticeable. Really? I haven't found any re-textures for this weapon, though maybe I didn't search hard enough.
  9. (Oops, technical difficulty. Posted it before I wrote anything. Sorry guys.) What's up Nexus mod world! I was wondering if someone could make a retex of the Recompense of the Fallen weapon? It could go along with the Dog Tag Fist, or be either one. I prefer the unique variant, though. I don't like how bright the tags and chain are, they're almost white. It's a little obnoxious when they're equipped, and it's starting to drive me insane. I love the weapon, though. I was thinking a few scratches and a more "metallic" color, rather than bright silver. Something to tone it down. Ya dig? I really really really hope someone can do this. I don't see a need for any permission, as it's a game weapon rather than someone's mod. Who's up to it?
  10. Hello friends! I hope you all are still enjoying yourselves in the Mojave as I am, despite how "outdated" it's become. You can't keep a good game down! I have but one simple request, and due to my inexperience in modding I can only hope that someone will come to the rescue. I've just started using the Road Warrior Armor, the original by toxa01 and ported into New Vegas by Cahir Mawr Dyffryn. Everything seems to be fine with it and I do enjoy the Mad Max reference, but the colors are a bit too "fresh" for my taste. http://i1368.photobucket.com/albums/ag185/thepenguindemon/RoadWarrior2_zps2baa5e87.jpg I wanted something a little more faded, and I was rather displeased after finding out the straps, buckles and knee guard ALL matched the colors of either the jacket or pants. This bothered me, for some unknown reason. After coincidentally stumbling into this retexture mod by TheShirsh, I thought the little demon in my head had been silenced and I could continue my repetitious late-night downloading. But alas! No file. The question is, can anyone do this? Apparently it has been done before (^reference above^) but I don't think the owner realizes there isn't a file to download. The fact that it hasn't been updated since 2011 shows me that it's probably been forgotten.Which is totally cool with me, I mean.. We can't all have a life can we? If anyone does answer and decides to re-awaken this almost-finished mod, I hope that it can work with the female version of the armor, as I am a girl and normally play female characters. Here are some pictures to show entirely what I'm talking about: (Pictures from TheShirsh's mod page) Before and After: Faded the darker black jacket and added individual colors for buckles, straps, holster and knee guard. http://i1368.photobucket.com/albums/ag185/thepenguindemon/RoadWarrior3_zps521a8744.jpg From behind: Changed the belt pouches from the same color as the pants to a light brown or tan. http://i1368.photobucket.com/albums/ag185/thepenguindemon/RoadWarrior4_zps5640118c.jpg Here is the female retexture: Scarf not included. http://i1368.photobucket.com/albums/ag185/thepenguindemon/RoadWarrior6_zpsdc2a6618.jpg Shirsh explains how it was made and what textures were used, for any reason the links above do not work the page is found here: http://www.nexusmods.com/newvegas/mods/40126/? And this is the original mod, for any reason the links above do not work the page is found here: http://www.nexusmods.com/newvegas/mods/38738/? As much as I would like to work the mod magic so many of you have mastered, I lack your prodigious skill. So help me out, will ya?
  11. Ah, I think I have solved the problem! Or it seems to have solved itself. I have updated it from the website itself and now runs like normal. I thank you for the help :)
  12. No apologies needed, your English is fine  I have tried this now, and it says "1 file(s) failed to validate and will be reacquired." NMM still doesn't want to open, I'm not sure what it could be. It seems to only be a problem with Skyrim NMM, because it works fine with my other games. Could that mean something? **I have just tried to download off of Nexus, and it caused it to open no problem after about 6 months of trying to get it open. But now it is saying the version I have is so old that I can only open in Offline Mode. I have opened in Offline Mode, but when I click on update NMM, it doesn't do anything. Is that an easy thing to fix? I thank you very much!
  13. Hey everyone, I'm really in need of help from anyone who's better with computers than myself. A few months back, I attempted to install SKSE, (for Skyrim, by the way) and have royally screwed something up with NMM in the process. I can't even be sure what I did, but every time I try to run NMM it just shows me this box that says: "You are missing C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\SteamApps\downloading\72850\Data\skyrim.esm Please verify your game install and ensure (^That^) is present." I've tried everything, completely restored my computer to it's default settings (for another reason as well), uninstalled and re-installed Skyrim, Steam, and NMM but nothing seems to fix it. Steam works just fine, and the game plays perfectly. I just can't get NMM to work. Oblivion on NMM works as well, it's just Skyrim NMM. I'm really getting tired of using Steam only, as the best stuff is on here. Someone, please help this extremely computer-illiterate person. Also, please keep the mean comments to yourself if you can, yes I should have never attempted to install it not knowing how to do squat, and I did follow a tutorial but I made one wrong move and moved one folder to the wrong place. I can guarantee I won't be trying it again, if I can even get it fixed. Thank you all for the help!
