  1. Hi there, You know what's annoying? When I'm in a mission, and the game makes me dismount when I arrive at the mission location, and suddenly I'm wearing a whole pile of rifles on my shoulder/back etc. Why does the game get to decide how I'm about to do a mission, and what I need? It would be cool if there was a mod that did the following : - Turns off the automatic "here's a shitty carbine repeater in your inventory, because we think you'll need it!" thing that it forces on you. No forced weapon aquisition. -Turns off the automatic loadout when you arrive at a mission -- you choose what you take with you from your horse, or weapon locker, or whatever. If there is a mod that already does this, please let me know.
  2. Hi! Just wondered if it was possible to map two actions in sequence, namely fire+cock. This would theoretically make firing immediately followed by cocking the hammer/re-racking the bolt (or reloading on empty?). I find that having to click to cock the weapon really messes with the flow of action in firefights, but I'm not trying to speed up the rate of fire in a non-realistic way. Rampage trainer *sort of* has this option in the "Weapons" section as "Auto cock", but it doesn't trigger the animation, just removes the need to cock the weapon (I.E. the gun shoots like a modern semi-auto AR or whatever), which isn't exactly what I mean. Dunno, just wondered. I'm sure I'll get jumped all over for wanting the game to hold my hand by being less realistic, but I'm mostly asking for it to keep the pace of the action up in firefights. Thanks in advance!
  3. Alright, I know that there are many witcher sense mods out there, and many of them have *sort of* addressed this in the past, but ... How about One Witcher Sense Mod to Rule Them All? Being able to toggle each element of the witcher senses individually would be SO much better for immersion. For me, plants and loot containers are the bane of my existence: I've found mods which eliminate glowing loot containers, but I'd really like to be able to hide the plants when I'm following a blood trail! Or at least make them a much fainter colour? Anyhow, just thought I'd put this out there. It'd be great to be able to pick and choose what we're focusing on with senses on! And if I've missed a mod that already solves my problem, sorry and I'll obviously delete this. Thanks in advance.
  4. Hi everyone! Long-time lurker, first-time poster. I'm posting because I've been reading the books, and the whole time dreaming up a series of mods for TW3 which provide a more "lore-accurate" experience for the game. The first of these mods involves the creation of three unique swords, which are based on the passages in Sapkowski's novel "Season of Storms" and the Pentalogy, specifically "Baptism of of Fire". The mod would involve the creation of the appropriate (+leveling) stats, inventory images and listing info, and the incorporation of these items into the core game as Geralt's starting sword(/s). For the 3D modelling of the swords, I have already chosen the "key components" from other existing sword models in the game; i.e. I have identified the appropriate pommel, grip, cross-guard, blade and scabbard for each--they just need to be "cut and pasted" together from the other models --- OF COURSE, I know nothing is that simple. Please hear me out! Obviously, I have next to no idea how to do any of this, so I'm posting here to ask a couple of questions: 1. Is there a comprehensive guide anywhere for a total rookie to get started on a project like this, something that assumes the wannabe modder has no prior knowledge, but wants to "forge" a sword from scratch? If so, I would appreciate some links! and/or 2. Does any one of the talented and dedicated modders in this illustrious community have any interest in developing this mod? If that is the case, I would be very stoked to collaborate. Heartfelt thanks to everyone here for their incredible work enhancing this game! "Sometimes there's monsters, sometimes there's money. Rarely both. That's the life."
