  1. Hey, I'm new when it comes to mdding game with Unreal Engine. My question is simple, do we currently have a tool that allows us to browse PAK files from the game, and then extract only the specific files we want without having to extract the entire pak? Cause this game has bloody huge files The reason I ask is that every time the game updates, certain files that we use in mods also undergo changes. And if I have to update my personal mods, then I'd like to do it using the original updated files, instead of working with my previous mod files. The files I typically work with are mostly config files like ObjPrototype.cfg, Corevariables.cfg, and other similar types of cfg files relating to weapons, and gears. So I would like to be able to extract those from the game's updated PAK files, but I don't know how. If anyone can help a newbie out it would be appreciated. Thanks
  2. Today I noticed that something weird happened to my character. He stepped out into an environment where he was supposed to automatically wear a spacesuit and helmet (I keep them hidden in breathable environments and settlements), but instead he just kept on wearing the street clothes. I thought that was weird so I reloaded the game. Same thing. He refused to wear the bloody spacesuit and helmet. I then tried to change the spacesuit and helmet he was wearing, thinking that a change of gears might reset whatever the hell was happening to my character. But that didn't work either. Finally, I decided to try something a bit more extreme. I took OFF my spacesuit and helm, and imagine my surprise when my character just stood there, in an inhospitable environment that would normally require a spacesuit, and it was as if he was chillin' in a settlement. I tried this on Mars, on random planets, even on bloody moons. And he was utterly unperturbed. The usual warning that typically comes from the game about needing to wear a spacesuit and helm didn't activate at all. Whatever happened to my character made it as if any environment was a breathable, normal environment. I have never done anything strange to my character, either through console or mods. The only thing that I have ever "done" to my character was to increase his carrying capacity using "set carryweight" console command. I have no idea how he suddenly gained the ability to live in space without breathing. So basically, if anyone knows of any mods or cheats, or console commands that might've caused this, or better yet, if anyone knows of a console command or setting that might somehow reverse this strange glitch, I'd really appreciate it. Otherwise, I guess I'll be playing a star man.
  3. If you can't get your settings to stick, first make sure your user.settings file isn't set to "read only". Right click the file, go to property, and make sure its attribute isn't set to "Read only". If it is, uncheck it. Alternatively, you can try using the mod: Lip Movement and High Res shadow. https://www.nexusmods.com/witcher3/mods/1902 It forces the use of high quality head assets at all times. It should prevent the melting faces issue. Good luck.
  4. I have a strange issue that only recently happened after returning to the Witcher 3. I was playing NG+ and got to the Battle of Kaer Morhen. Up to this point, saving and loading worked fine, but any saves made after that battle could not be loaded. I do have mods, it's not a long list, it's mostly lighting mods and texture mods. There's also a few that adds certain unique items. I could list them if that would help. I've tried disabling ALL of my mods, and the same CTD happens regardless of whether or not the mods were active. Which leads me to think that my save got corrupted somehow but I don't know how save corruption typically happens and what mod, if any, could've been the cause. It's also worth noting that the apparent "save corruption" only happens if I complete the Battle of Kaer Morhen. If I don't continue that quest, I'm free to play for hours on other side quests and even the DLC expansion, and save/load without issue. So I don't think it's a save limit issue. Something happens to the game only after I cross that specific point. Basically my question is: Has anyone experienced something similar where after certain point in the game, your saves could no longer be loaded? What, in your experience could be the cause? I would love to hear some advice or input from anyone who may have experienced something similar.
