  1. That would be really nice to have. There's something about this game, I keep getting crazy ideas for mods/additions to the game.......Wild Bill's House of Ships! Come on down for the best selection of custom ships in the know Universe!
  2. I found with the ship engineering skill you can tell the colonists how to restart their drive without the need for materials. I think what would make those encounters less tiring is different wording, not the same lines over and over. One evening I was doing a lot of planet hopping and encountered the geologist 4 times....ugh...too much!
  3. Hopefully there are unused lines available for a modder to add to the pool. One of the things that irks me about this game is the huge lack of dialog variety after Bethesda claimed it was going to be more like their older games....to me it seems to have less than Skyrim does!
  4. Yes! That was a huge gap. Not only we give her books but let's have some books out there she would want.
  5. More dialog options being supportive of the gravity pilgrims but also nudging them more in the right direction without spilling the beans. Not all comments available at one time, but more come up each time we run across them. And after meeting them the first time we have a 'Hi again!' type of greeting...or, a "Oh, it's you' greeting...
  6. This idea popped up today... a quest the leads to the ability to go through the Unity and end up back in out original universe. That part could be tricky since somehow that would need to be saved to reference, or maybe you would just start like other NGs but instead of the 'you' there having run off or something you are you.....that may not be a good goal, but it was something that I thought of as a good reward for a quest. In a NG or NG+ there is a small town in a system out on the edge of explored space. It is a wild, rough and tumble town. We end up in the local bar where eventually and argument ensues with some of the young tough guys. A dialog choice is available where the player tells them they could knock them all on their asses without touching them so they better back off. (That way it gives the player the hint to use the gravity wave) Just before we can give what for an older character steps in and interrupts. They are shrouded so we can't see them well, they convince us to go have a chat. It's us, but they haven't used the services of Enhanced, so they look older, rougher. That leads into a quest to go further into unexplored space. We'd have to find and gather resources along the way, exploring and surveying as we go. Eventually we reach the destination, an unassuming anomaly area.
  7. Just did the retreat quest again. This time I completed the Crimson Fleet quest before hand. My guy is a bounty hunter and has taken on the CF....yet he is all nicey nice with the people involved with this quest. Yeah, maybe he is tired of all the killing, which he is going to go continue when done on this planet, but he should be able to talk about those things. The pissy construction boss really needed a character response putting him in his place, that yes, the player character has gone up against the CF and has seen and done things that would be the stuff of construction boss' nightmares. While supporting the goals of the retreat our character should have some more colorful comments. Also, it would be awesome to be able to donate a percentage of our fortune to the retreat, maybe selecting a percentage of our pile of creds to give.
  8. They went wayyyy overboard on this game. That is one, of many, disappointments with it. There are some of the story lines that instill emotions but then YANK!...sorry we can't go too far with that. Maybe they should have released 2 versions of the game...one 'safe' version and another for those who can handle and want those old school vibes.
  9. So any other explorer who wanders into your outpost or the Log instantly would get sent off the the Unity too...sounds more diabolical than having to basically off yourself to go through the Unity.
  10. And, what if we had 2x2 or 3x3 living quarter habs.
  11. Erick mentions the fear of ending up on a barren moon without enough fuel to leave. But somehow our character has a connection to a magical endless supply so no worries! I like this idea. Recently when collecting fuel from a facility I thought how it would be so much more immersive if I needed to use it to top off my fuel tanks.
  12. A sit anywhere would be good too. I recently came upon a book reading session in New Atlantis and couldn't join the others on the little wall...had to stand there like a dope the whole time. Seems the Starborn doesn't know how to relax.
  13. My thought on that was the complexity of making viable space equipment might require better facilities, but we should be able to improve existing equipment with more than just mods. A work around I was pondering was a shop near the space port in Akila that sells better gear. Early game they wouldn't have all the best stuff...maybe they won't exist early game but open shop at a certain character level. But my level 150 Starborn shouldn't have to scavenge for better gear.
  14. If I could mod that's one I would work on...there's so much potential for an interesting story. I was thinking the same, they may not be changeable, but the possibilities for adventure...
  15. I like the idea of using credits for outposts, but not just outposts. A quest line that would allow the character to stay in the universe for a long time, not necessarily the player grinding it out but that character. We build an outpost, upgrade it to a small settlement, upgrade that to a small town, large town, etc. We initially are more heavily involved, but as it gets more complex we hand off activities to other NPCs for automated events. Along the way the quest has way points where the player could decide, OK, I want to just get going to the next universe, so they can select that option and those they leave behind do whatever. Another option could be the player is done with the grindy bit but isn't hip on their character bailing just yet, they would have an option to let time pass, a fade sequence happens then it is many years later. Their settlement has grown, or maybe it encountered woes, if they have a spouse maybe they had kids who are now grown and on their own...that sort of thing....then the player can proceed to the unity. Credits used, frenzied rat race feeling eased...
  16. The ecliptic needs their attitude adjusted big time. A long quest line to work your way through their leadership to the jackass who thinks killing innocent people working at facilities is somehow justified. During the process the player may be able to reform groups, making them see the errors of their ways, or just wipe them out completely. The player works their way all the way to the top, eliminating the corruption which opens the way for better people to take over, or guts the thing to fall apart from the inside out.
  17. It would be great if we could have other followers be able to gain powers and know they have them and use them. It's nice Barret can do it but none of the other many possible followers tagging along and commenting on your abilities and wishing they could learn to do that leave me wanting. It seems that after going through the Unity we should be able to bring others along. It also seems odd that all the Constellation members can and eventually go through the Unity, but no powers? I'm thinking we would loose a level on any one level II or higher power, and only be able to teach the power gaining ability to only one or two followers.
  18. When talking to yourselves at the Unity it becomes clear everything is left behind. I did a long play through and my guy was stinking rich, over 5 million credits, but he couldn't give any of it to his followers, parents, etc....it would be nice to have a way to leave your things to others...I guess since going through the Unity is basically killing yourself...a Will. Maybe it could be an activity that comes up if one walks away from the Unity.
  19. Can you send the path where you found those? I'm not seeing anything in my setdressing folder.
  20. Can a mod be created that after all the pieces have been collected fires off a final quest where you get the choice to live a long life in the current universe. If the player selects to do so it fades to black then fades back in. The player has ages many years, if they have a spouse they do to. Then there is some kind of review of their journey with random things mentioned such as the kids are all grown up, the colonies we helped settle are doing well...etc. Then they agree they are ready to make the journey through the Unity.
  21. It would be nice to have an option available that after all the pieces have been gathered, the PC has gone to the Unity and returned, deciding to wait, that there is some new content to play to keep going a while. AND/OR - either a dialog choice or a button on a ship or in a house to live a long life in that universe...fade to black...fade back in. The PC has aged, a summary of life occurs and then the player can enter the Unity and being reborn in a new universe has a little more meaning to it and removes the ran race feeling. It kinda gets me that the PC can make a commitment to their spouse/companion then jump into the Unity. Also, no option to have a family. What if they want a family and to go through the Unity later. Bethesda had posted to some complaints about the game that they offer a great RPG game...I think there is a lot left out that would make it a great game.
