  2. sorted the patch in, and everything works as intended! luggage is there and the sorter and grinder! i think i'm done modding for a little while haha
  3. replies are scattered a little further because i'm passing on some of my knowledge to a friend who wants to mod his Skyrim the weird thing is 7-zip won't work even after the install wizard finished, so he can't unzip the mod files, so i'm researching that the funny thing is i accidentally showed him version 9.21 and not the latest version haha, and apparently it's still not working, hmm we just ended up having me dropbox him the mods haha, it's all resolved
  4. looks like it might be on one of the little slabs? i have a screenshot from almost this angle hang on, it's a very small hallway-like area there's my own for comparison, it's not anywhere, weird
  5. Nope, it's not one of the cupboards. you know what i'm thinking? i think i did a nexus install for the Pocket dimension, would that affect anything?
  6. you make a good point, and it says it loads after the patch and shows it at the bottom so that's out the window, i WILL try the various cabinets that's a good idea, i checked one yesterday and it was just cabinet so i suspected they all were, but it'd make a lot of sense

Hmm, do i have to activate the sorter before it'll get added to my house? i figured it would be there from the start ok edit, i bought the bravil house and its furnishings, my test character has a LOT of money so that wasn't an issue, and i found it and yet, it's not at all in my Pocket Dimension home storage area i'm thinking maybe the pocket dimension needs to be AFTER the bashed patch in the load order list, however, it's IN the bashed patch so i dunno is there a way to get it out to test that theory or should i learn to live with this because it IS easy to live with i'm just looking to get the most ease of access out of my Oblivion you know? but it's absolutely not that big of a deal either and before i forget i did successfully find the luggage

I started up Oblivion and messed around a bit, i definitely saw a grinder and grinded a skull to bonemeal, i saw Salmo, working like a charm however i have yet to see an alchemical sorter or "luggage" anywhere, so i'm thinking maybe parts of cobl aren't working the readme says- Alchemical Sorters Cobl provides a standard version of alchemical sorters. You'll find these sorters in player houses (if you have Cobl Glue.esp active), and in many Cobl aware house mods. For non-OBSE users, the sorters will allow you to put away all Vanilla ingredients, and retrieve ingredients by name or effect. Also if you have a Cobl aware hunger mod installed, you'll be able to retrieve just the edible foods that are currently stored in the sorter. For OBSE users, behavior is considerably enhanced. The sorters will: • Handle ingredients from all mods (not just Vanilla Oblivion). • Put away and retrieve potions. • Put away and retrieve scrolls. • Provide direct access to potions. To create potions (OBSE only): After selecting the desired effect(s), select "Create Potions", which will open the Alchemy menu. When you're done creating potions, exit the Alchemy menu, and the Sorter container will open again. Now you can select more effects or select "Reset" to return all of the ingredients and reset the list of effects. but i haven't seen any, i checked mages guild and my pocket dimension which says there should be a sorter and a luggage in my storage room but: nothing. pocket dimension mod page says, under features, thus: - A Storage Room, just in case the previously mentioned container device is not enough for your needs. - If you choose the install the optional COBL patch, then the Storage Room will also contain the Luggage, a Grinder, and an Alchemical Sorter. i definitely have grinders in my world, but not in my storage room, and no sorters or luggage that i can find anywhere also, how do i move something to the installers tab to anneal it? which might fix the alchemical sorters n luggage problem
  9. hmm, ok, and i was going to say that what it says there's an error with, aren't really important, i think the things missing masters are from mods i don't have, and everything should be ok if i just, deactivate those i think? edit to include example update, deactivated them, they show the plus symbol in a red box, bashed patch will rebuild again, however it's still orange and i dunno if that's bad? i have the readme open still from last night orange = The install is dirty. This will occur for packages for which the configuration has been altered (either by altering active sub-packages and esmps, or by altering the package itself). This can be repaired by running Anneal or Anneal All.

Ah so we have another issue admittedly it's more than a little my fault so everything was looking good, everything seemed to have a place and a home, and i was looking at Salmo The Baker, the one i assumed was an extra and was outside the one in the bashed patch, and i thought, well having two might be an issue right so i deactivated the one outside the patch, which it said deactivated the one inside the patch, and everything went sorta funky and i can't rebuild my patch due to missing masters error, and i have no idea what i've done or how to fix it so i guess an accurate summation would be, simply: oops. what you see there is AFTER BOSS if the information helps edit, here's what it gives me if that helps too

AH ok that should have been obvious, i haven't run BOSS yet, but i failed to realize i needed to put the Bashed Patch at the bottom again, i'm planning on running BOSS after i finish the merging and that sort and yeah, they'd be more slow and in-depth but Gyazo, without premium, will only allow me, what, five seconds of gif time, and i didn't want to bog down with 20 gifs, you know? one of the haughty foibles of this pay-to-go world looks like it's done patching up, time to run BOSS and then see what's up with Oblivion

Rebuilding my Bashed Patch again for good measure update, i have a few reds, should those matter? should i do anything with them? i hovered over and looked at their descriptions and some are missing masters, then it says "mod should be imported and deactivated" but i'm unsure what that means exactly

  14. In accordance with my edit above, voila, suddenly, it noticed and scanned the package haha, i started laughing when it IMMEDIATELY started scanning, like, yep that's my problem

See my thing is i tried putting the cobl file into the Bain Installers folder and it didn't show up on the installers page of Wrye, which prompted me to think i did something wrong even after i had it set up like the readme suggested at the beginning, but reading what you said it sounds like i definitely did it right, however i will try it again haha i think i see the problem though it told me i could move the "Oblivion Mods" folder, perhaps i misinterpreted, i had moved it to my Oblivion Modification folder for quick and easy access, but i went to move it back just in case to my Steamapps\Common folder where it was originally and there it was, i had a second one, perhaps i'll just, leave that there and see if pasting my thing there will work, it must be back there for a reason after all

Ah this is a lot of valuable information, i had been reading the general html last night but it kept using things i didn't understand to explain things i didn't understand, kinda like trying to explain an IPhone to a greek philosopher and saying "well see an IPhone is sorta like an advanced calculator" and the greek philosopher has no idea what either of those are, but eventually you can get down to "a calculator is like an automatic abacus" and THAT makes sense because they know what an abacus is, and then you can start to work your way up the learning scale for what things are, and that's why this hands-on help really does the trick, it's putting it at base values that i can understand and appreciate after that typing, i do have to ask and it probably sounds obvious, the answer i mean, but do i hit the check mark to activate that Bashed Patch 0.esp at the bottom of my load order patch is currently building, i enabled unlimited rings because, i mean you have TEN fingers why can you only use two that's so weird, now i can wear ten rings if i so choose edit, it asked me if i wanted to activate it so i hit yes, i take it that answers my question

Confused about Wrye Bash, i tried moving a file into the "Oblivion Mods\Bash Installers" where it said it'd see it but i closed, reopened, it rescanned, nothin, so i def need help when you've got time, the full process is just above if you need to catch up phooey i'll check back tomorrow sometime
  18. ok, first off, it says "from either 00 StableCore or 00 DevCore, gonna just peek into those and see which one i'd want, this post here might get long but i'm gonna keep it to technicalities and important info so i can remember my process ok definitely StableCore going to just paste in the cobl races but not the balanced, see what happens, could be fun immediate edit, oop hold on, there's a new post saying not to do that, time to read an edit after finishing reading, if i knew what a bashed patch was i might toy around with all that but hey there's always in a few days eh? Tweaks and Tweaks SI in data, going to also put in Salmo as well, because that sounds interesting read the Salmo readme, i think it should work, this was included • Install Cobl and activate the Salmo the Baker, Cobl.esp. • Salmo should load relatively late in your load order. Salmo changes ownership of Salmo related cells, so it's important that this ownership be active or else, all of the Salmo NPCs will be trepassing while inside the shop! BOSS handles the load order and i'm just gonna trust that, if not, i know what to fix! time to mix it all up and see what comes out of the oven, i'm gonna start up Oblivion -after a sandwich, i'm STARVING for a sandwich now (wonder why) -sandwich in hand, let's see how this goes! i procrastinated while i ate and this led to me remembering before i started, the meshes sound and textures from the races folder will do that then start actually all i see in there is Races.esp, can't find any meshes sounds or textures so, might as well forge on with starting it all up update, alas, but it didn't change anything, i visited my pocket dimension, i visited Salmo, nothing, time to find out what went wrong oh my i quite think i see my issue here • Cobl Filter Late MERGE ONLY.esp • Do not activate this mod! It can ONLY be used by merging it into the Bashed Patch! • Missing Masters: Most likely this mod has masters that are not available on your machine. As a result activating it results in a "Missing Masters" problem which will cause Oblivion to crash immediately on startup. • However, when Bash merges this into the bashed patch, it does a filtered merge which discards references to mods that you don't have active, thus avoiding the missing masters problem. (Which is why Wrye Bash is required.) • Adds foods from a number of mods to the Cobl Dinner Plate. Hence it is only useful if you're using a using a Cobl aware hunger mod. In addition, it will not function unless you also have OBSE 15 (or higher) installed and active. • Order: This mod should be just before the bashed patch in load order. you see i did in fact add the Cobl Filter Late MERGE ONLY.esp, and that may indeed be my issue. but is it an easy fix? let's find out Oh my i believe i've found something else as well that may have something to do with it • No matter the setting, the options menu will always be available in the Temple of the One. Oh dear it seems it wants to highlight that, continuing on, i may simply need to visit the Temple Of The One and activate it so there's nothing to activate, the mod simply isn't working, however, i have noticed on the tweaks folder it says (only install one) so i may need to remove the tweaks vanilla, that may solve my issues, i will also take a look at OMM/BOSS/etc and bum around to see what's goin on, but i need to sleep real soon hey. hi. i went into OMM and, well, none of the new stuff was activated hahah i just never looked, let's see what happens when i start Oblivion now, i'm just a big ol dummy Lo and behold, when you activate something, it works haha. i found Salmo's place fixed up, had the scripts working, everything. i'm just a dummy. will fiddle more tomorrow there's definitely some light issues with Salmo, such as his house always being trespassing, and i think i got one of those random crashes the readme talked about, but for now, sleep time Ok! picking up from yesterday, i'm going to move Salmo to the bottom of the load order and see if that fixes the trespassing oh dear, now Salmo didn't load at all. i'm going to systematically move it up the list until it works as it should, might take a bit but trial and error is sometimes the best course of action ok so i moved it up the list spot by spot starting up Oblivion every time and i found where it'll load in Salmo, however, his house is ALWAYS trespassing and i waited just to make sure, hmm you know i'm thinking about looking for Wyre Bash because part of me really feels like it'd fix my issues, i'm also not seeing the alchemical sorter or anything, however i am seeing the options in my misc category, so it's working but i'm missing features that i can't help but think may be in that Cobl Filter Late MERGE ONLY.esp Well that explains why i couldn't find it, i thought it was Wyre Bash but it's Wrye Bash, gonna see if i can puzzle out how to install and use, otherwise, hey, tomorrow is right around the corner Wrye Bash is installed and i am now puzzling out how to actually work it hoo boy ok i might just need to wait i'm not really making sense of it, i followed the directions but i guess i'm just not doing it right or i have the wrong thing or like, i dunno, i can wait, i definitely need some guidance i believe this is the end of this post, as i'm going to wait until tomorrow for Wrye Bash help
  19. ah ok, so i'm just gonna copy all these and paste them into Data then the same with the other two i forget the names of after i sift through them listening to the sound clips which is really fun edit, so what you're saying is, the new races should be fine as long as the balanced isn't in there? i can imagine they won't look very new-race-y without their own textures and such but it could be neat for the future thanks for the well wishes! i'll look back on previous info, it's good to have a chat log to look back on, if i need further information, and if it's there, have fun, see you then! i'll make a post after this one and update that

Just the two thankfully, after it's done copying speak of the devil, finished up i was rather partial to ham mustard and mayonaise when i was growing up, never did like peanut butter ok time to bite into the meat of it and start copying some COBL files into my new MOM image edit/update, i'm not seeing any people textures or meshes, and i'm wondering if i'm just not observant or they aren't in the 00 Core folder
  21. True enough, the night before something is always the toughest to weather MOM is having a lot of things to copy this time, taking a bit longer, she works so hard for us kids
