This may come pretty late, but if anyone stumbles upon this thread the fix is simple. I had this issue with my game like 10 minutes ago haha. I use Mod Organizer for my installs and profiles, but this *fix* in theory should work on any Mod Manager as well as manual installs. When you first install texture packs through a mod manager (MO for me) all of the textures get installed correctly to the right place. This allows Automatic Variants patcher to read each file and show them in the patcher. Yay, thats awesome right? After you patch the game (with Automatic Variants loading ALL THE WAY AT THE BOTTOM. I don't care what ANYONE says. Put. It. At. The. BOTTOM.) and play you should be fine. If you are having the Blue Horse issue at this point it is most likely because something is overwriting the texture files that you placed. (In my case it was in my left pane of Mod Organizer. Had to move Automatic Variants all the way to the bottom as well so that it would overwrite anything above it.) I suggest a complete re-install of AV and the texture packs. If everything is running fine, than there you go  My issue came when I added a few more mods and decided, "Meh, I should probably run all my patchers just to be safe". I sound idea right? Nope. This is where the Blue Horse and Missing Texture issue happens most. Automatic Variants MOVES the texture files from their original install place of /skyprocpatcher/automatic variants/av packages/ .... <<< I think not sure, but you get the idea, to a WHOLE NEW PLACE. /textures/. Well you may be thinking, "But SymVoid, doesn't that mean the textures are there anyways?" Sure it should mean that, but for some ODD reason if you run the patcher again something fudges up. I have NO idea what, but something messes up. My guess is that it reads the AV Packages folder, creates a list based off of what is (left) in the folder, exports that list when the patcher is done, and the .esp calls on it. Thats just my guess. Anyways, for what ever reason after you run the patcher this time, you will most likely get missing textures. At some point. Just reinstall the AV Packages again using your mod manager, overwrite or merge the files. Delete your current Automatic Variations .esp and run the patcher again. Let it create a new one and replace any .xml files or what-have-you and you should be fine. This has worked for me (Even on an already saved game so you should be safe on your save. It's just a texture call.) So yea. Just re-install the packages... tl;dr Caused by the patcher moving files. Re-Install your AV Packages again. Run patcher again. This texture issue usually happens after you have already run the patcher once.

Okay so the title pretty much explains it. I've used both RLO and ELFX before in my games and never had a problem. I do not use a Mod Manager, because I've never had to. I've never had issues before today. I've googled and googled and I can not find a resolution to this issue. Also I have deleted and reset my .ini files (both of them). So I use about 50 or so plugins. Probably around the same amount of actual mods. I have one exterior lighting overhaul which is Pure Weathers (Pure Waters right below it) and one Interior. The issue is with the interior lighting overhaul. I have tried both RLO and ELFX and neither will change a city or building interior. Instead they kinda "layer" on top of vanilla lighting. Meaning all of the ambient lighting sources that Vanilla creates are still rendering along with the new lighting overhaul. My computer specs are: AMD A6-4400M 2.7Ghz (3.2Ghz OC) Dual Core AMD HD Radeon 7520G 512MB VRam 4GB Ram I don't want to hear anything about buying a new computer or the like because this laptop runs this game fine. I run at 30FPS pretty much everywhere I go, say for some specific places. I'm quite happy with the performance. My load order is: Any idea whats going on?

FIX for CTDs and Missing Textures- 32bit Large Memory Access
SymVoid replied to LMahesa's topic in Skyrim's Skyrim LE
@DarkAngel13 Thanks for the info, I don't use the Hi Res DLC because it lags my game out. Everything runs fine now, that was an old build that ran fine also. I don't have any problems out of my game now, but I have also lowered my mod count to SkyRE, SkyUI, Immersive Armors, Black Sacrement, and some odd and end replacers like the EBT, Unofficial Pathes, and MessageBox and Dialog mods. Also using a Performance ENB. So far so good. No problems, Although I finally got a hold of a 64bit Windows 7. -
Random CTD, have error log just need ID what it is

Yea sounds like a leftover script trying to run. Check out this article and see if it helps any: http://wretchedcalx.blogspot.com/2012/04/broken-mods-papyrus-debugger-and-you.html Talks about repeating errors and .psc files. Other than that I can't think of anything off the top of my head other than get BOSS immediately! Also get TES5Edit Run Boss, check log for any conflicting mods. It will tell you if you need "this" or "that" for the mod to work. Then run TES5Edit. Check all mods you are going to use and run. If it runs all the way through without any errors then your good to go, if there IS an error that would crash your game, the program will stop and tell you "Cannot load because "this".esm is missing" or some other stuff like "Blahblah.esp needs to load before this" and etc. -

Couple of questions: Are you a Werewolf in your game? What kind of Operating System are you using? What kind of Rig do you have? Do you have any mods that affect Werewolf behaviour? Any problems with BOSS load order? Beside bash tags. -
I have upwards of 70+ mods, a LOT of armor mods and hair/texture mods and I havn't had a SINGLE crash yet. Thats with Path of Shadows, ACE Combat Skills, and some other gameplay changes added to my game, and it runs absolutely fine. Also Cities and Villages Enhanced which adds A LOT of floral and clutter to cities to make them look better. Havn't had a single problem.

Not true. If the game only uses 900mb total, then I don't see how that fix I posted completely fixed my game. I think that it saves texture and mathematical data on the ram to access later, and having it capped at 2gb causes problems, which is why that fix upcaps it and brings it to 3. Did you try what I posted? It's a great thread. Also, the Micro-Stuttering can be fixed by either going into the GPU control panel and changing CPU affinity from 2(or more) to JUST 1 core. Thats how I fixed mine. I use RadeonPro, but I believe you can change this is the nVidia settings as well. If you can't find it then Google is your friend :P Your game isn't broke, just keep trying.

Oh thank you! I have been waiting for this :)

It seems to be a problem with rather large files. I suggest manually adding anything large, then activating them when you run NMM.
-
Couple questions: In the nVidia Control Panel is vSync "Always On"? If it is, change it to "Always Off" Make sure that bmouseacceleration=0 is in SkyrimPrefs.ini in your documents folder What settings are you running the game on? Do you have the latest drivers? What type of Operating System are you using?

Best fix EVER! This completely fixed my game. I can run numerous mods right now and NO CTD at all. Well once, but Frostfall was ordered wrong :P http://forums.nexusmods.com/index.php?/topic/503105-fix-for-ctds-and-missing-textures-32bit-large-memory-access/?hl=%2Bcrash+%2Benter+%2Bnew+%2Barea Windows XP / 7 32bit computers come with a cap. They only use 2gb, period. 2gb for System and 2gb for User Applications. That post will tell you how to fix that. Since I did it I have absolutely NO problems. Framerate is steady and smooth and micro-stutters are gone as well :) It needs to be stickied really.

FIX for CTDs and Missing Textures- 32bit Large Memory Access
SymVoid replied to LMahesa's topic in Skyrim's Skyrim LE
So I've been having problems with Skyrim for a while now. Almost a week actually. I have Uninstalled, Reinstalled, Tweaked, Hacked, Lowered Settings, and cursed my way into a corner I thought. I have played through the Intro sequence so MANY times that I'm sick of it! Really... It makes me wanna throw up. Although I might make a tomb for Lokir and that one guy that gets beheaded, just because I have a special bond with them now. Anywho, onto the main subject. I've tried just about every possible tweak, hack, or mod available to try and get this thing to run. I would ALWAYS crash during Alduin's shout, When I got to Embershard mine, and when I loaded Riverwood. Or left riverwood. It would ALWAYS crash, almost 100% of the time. Thats why I always did the intro. I knew if it wasn't fixed it would crash. I thought it was my mods towards the tail end of it, so the ONLY thing I installed was Armors... and Cities and Villages Enhanced, Blood mod, and some other nit-pick little things. Things that didn't even CHANGE normal values in the game or run scripts. Nope, kept on-a-crashing. I was getting so pissed, I couldn't find anything wrong. I CFF edited TESV.exe. It was fine, SKSE_loader.exe was fine as well. Both allowed 4GB. STILL crashed. Now that I did this little trick right here, played through all of helgen, in riverwood, went back out to embershard mine, now on my way to Bleak Falls Barrow, and NOT A SINGLE CRASH, or glitch, or anything! It actually makes my game run HELLA smoother as well. I don't get 60FPS, but it sure feels like it. Sept for cities cause I have the Cities and Villages Enhanced, but thats totally okay with me. THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR THIS! I searched for the solution for a WEEK! This NEEDS to be stickied for EVERYONE to see! This is incredibly important. Thank you once again! Current load order, NO CRASH!: -
I know that the normal TESV.exe has been patched since 1.3 to allow for more then 4GB, but has anyone checked out the SKSE_Loader.exe? It's not tagged for 4GB. It still throttles at 2. I was wondering if this could be cause for random CTD's with no errors and the likes. I used CFF Editor to check both files.

How did you fix the random CTDs? I use 4GB as well and I seem to be getting random CTD's.
