I have to agree with you on Silent Hill. Silent Hill 2 was great, it was definitely down hill from there...I get particularly irritated with playstation ports..which most games seem to be these days. It screws up the controls of virtually every game (note Silent Hill as a prime example, followed closely by Skyrim) WTF is the obsession with consoles? How do these people not own a computer, but have the cash for a giant screen TV and a premium gaming system? It's getting so you can't find a great computer game over the counter as well. Walk into "Game Stop"..the "PC" area is so small you can easily miss it. I started gaming on a Tandy 1000 (notable games being Space Quest 3, and Bard's Tale)..at a time when no one believed a glorified Atari would take over gaming. It's sickening.

Why would any-one play vanilla Skyrim on a console when you can play modded Skyrim on a pc with ENB? A console's only virtue is cost. Otherwise consoles are holding games back. If Skyrim had been made for pc instead of consoles, it would be able to handle much more than a piddling 4 gig of RAM.

I agree with a lot of what you said. I've only had one experience with Resident Evil and that was either 5 or 6 (the one in Africa). I found it to be clunky and not that scary and boring after a few hours in.

I've never tried Silent Hill so I can't give an opinion on that. Haven't played Metal Gear Solid but everything I've heard about it nothing but praise for most of the series so I supposed I should play it eventually.

My big disappointment is Call of Duty I've played pretty much all of them up to Black Ops. Individually I feel that they have been cult classics if the Modern Warfare series actually had a story that's worth following. On top of that if Activision had delayed the release cycle by a couple of years between them. I'm burnt-out. If there was some time for nostalgia to sink in I'd have a better view of Call of Duty. It had the potential to be akin to The Terminator or Aliens, awesome game with a decent story but the selling point is action. Now it seems like a saturday morning Power Rangers episode, everything always gets bigger and more explosiony.

I wasn't a big fan of Assassin's Creed one or two, I liked the historical aspects but the story was eh. I also didn't like Prototype that much.

Now Halo I love, mostly for the gameplay and art style. I enjoy way the Human ships and tech were blocky but efficient. It seems like a logical technological evolution based on our previous military designs. But I found the back story to be more interesting than the story of the games.

I love Mass Effect and the current Fallout games I thought they were well done. I bought the 2013 Tomb Raider and it was beautiful but my poor little laptop couldn't handle it well, even on the lowest settings. Dead Space was scary at first but quickly lost its fright.

I only recently started seriously gaming on the PC and I'm enjoying the strategy and 4X games a lot. I feel more should have been included in the list.

I have played Gta San Andreas for alot of hours

sometimes i stayed a whole day awake just playing GTA, but skyrim, i have played even more than Triple that time. SKYRIM I took a day off from school just for dragonborn DLC.

SO of cource I would vote to The elder Scrolls, also had good experience with oblivion and morrowind.
