Just looking for a good combination of mods to change up the feel of combat to be more strategic/physical ... giving attacks weight and such. I'm not to keen on having super high damage (As using immersive mod, having a Sabrecat pounce you silently from behind and one-shot you has been been a pain in the past). So far I have SkyTweak (I know, not a combat mod, but I understand it lets you tweak stuff to do with combat), Dual Wield Parry (I always use it really), VioLens, Combat Behavior Improved and Archery Gameplay Overhaul. Do I need anything ontop of this? I like the idea of Action Combat but I hear its buggy?

I suppose I'm going for a 'Dark Souls' potion mechanic. Drinking a potion requires a short animation (that can be interrupted?) ... I believe Animations mod does this, but its on/off switch is tied with food/drink (which I'd prefer iNeed to handle). Given the above, I'd like potions to be more potent (generic ones anyway) to compensate for the time it takes to consume them. So maybe rather than 25 points of healing a minor healing potion heals 20% of characters maximum health. Something like. Potion of Minor Healing - 20% Potion of Healing - 35% Potion of Plentiful Healing - 50% Potion of Vigorous Healing - 65% Potion of Extreme Healing - 80% Potion of Ultimate Healing - 100%

Oh sorry, it does tell me there. Edit: Dropped my Distant Object Detail to High and it seems to have cleared it up mostly.

Having upgraded my rig just recently I've reinstalled Skyrim and modded it up graphically. Of course now I have this z-fighting issue everyone probably knows about, I've tried the ini tweaks but they don't seem to offer much success. I think I'd be happy with my distant mountains looking like how my old rig did them (better than flickering anyway), what ini setting am I looking at for reducing the detail on distant mountains?

Well, all bar the fan is installed. I tested out Skyrim with a bunch of 'low-spec' mods suggested in another thread and for the most part run at a 60 to 59 fps, unless I spin around 360. Abit of a large fps dip on starting a new game. Thanks to everyone for their help and suggestions. -

LE [Idea] Mod for a Mod - Gather Wood for Frostfall
Mortimer replied to Mortimer's topic in Skyrim's Mod Ideas
That includes scavenging dead wood from the forest floor? Or just firewood piles? -
This is less a request and more just me speculating on an idea and wondering how much trouble it would be to introduce into Skyrim. Last time I played Skyrim with Frostfall the act of gathering wood in the wild felt abit ... unimmersive? It would fade to black and you suddenly walk back carrying some wood. I mean it works, but I often thought as I explored Skyrim that there are drift wood on the beaches, patches of bracken and bits of dead wood laying around the forest floor, it would be neat if I could just collect them in a similar way to alchemy ingredients. I imagine this would require you to physically remove all those 'statics' and replace them with interactive objects, I'm doubting that can just be done by changing those statics in the CK and change them all in one fell swoop. How did mods like dynamic objects do it? the former I presume. The second thought is similar and comes from looking at the mod Woodcutter. Admittedly the idea of felling a tree in real time was very impressive, but from the vids you don't 'cut down a tree' but go 'utterly ballistic hacking at it' ... I suppose my quibble is with it relying on the attack animation, always wondered if it was possible, for say having woodcutters axe equipped (and only than) a tree suddenly can be activated with 'E', which than triggers a proper tree cutting animation. ... again probably having to change trees from static to activatable object. I imagine that doesn't have the best performance affect having most stuff in the world becoming activatible objects. Any, was just a thought, maybe there is a clever work around.

Just got the card today, along with some better RAM cards. Will have a crack at installing it tomorrow (although I wonder if I should wait on the fan, which is still being delivered). P.S. Techworld ordering was fine so far thanks, BlackRose (I suppose I shouldn't celebrate till the cards up and running). -

Well I went a head and ordered the PSU, just because it sounds like more than anything I need to replace mine. I'll keep an eye on that card though. -

Techworld has almost perfect score (9.58/10) on PriceSpy. Those people you talk about, they don't trust them, because of the old site layout or did they actually had experience with customer service? http://pricespy.co.nz/shop.php?f=11597 Mostly it was issues with lack of contact details, maybe I was looking at old posts of it ... the main thing is Comodo keeps popping up with their site being blocked due to reports of phishing. -

I did look up techworld, there seems to be a lot of people who don't trust them, so I thought maybe it was wiser to give them a pass. -

Not sure I NEED to go all out for a 1070, will a 1060 cover me? I'm looking at a EVGA GeForce GTX1060 3G PCI-E Gaming Video Card right now. Also what brand of PSU should I be looking at? I did above, but something around $500 to $800NZ. MSI stuff seems to either be exorbitantly priced here or very rare. Oh, see a 650W Corsair RM650x I could get. Hows that? -
I think historically woman would 'wrap up' when going into battle, not to mention the bust sizes many have in their games are on the extreme end of things for most women. Tight constrictive clothing and realistic armour and I think your sorted. Maybe you will have to go find an archery forum and see how the women get on with that problem  (How they will take the question on the other hand...)

Yeah, I've kept my old Windows 7 going. -
Looking for a mod that JUST boosts the speed of these animals ... they always feel like they move painfully slow for how these animals should move ... wolves, bears and sabrecats move at a fair clip for me, but I can often lap these animals.

Was going to aim for around $600NZ Maybe this is a better site to look for things, its more a price comparison site than a supplier http://pricespy.co.nz/category.php?k=350 -

How would a ZALMAN ZM750-EBT 750W Modular ATX PSU - 80 Plus Gold for a PSU go? Could get a ASUS STRIX GTX970 DirectCU II Overclocked 4GB GDDR5 PCI-E 3.0 DVI HDMI Display Port from the same supplier too. -

Phew, ok ... I have an AC Bel HB1001 500W PSU. Which from what I understand is a pretty decent one? -
What monsters will be added in Beyond Skyrim?
Mortimer replied to gunabuse's topic in Skyrim's Skyrim LE
Well no actual ideas, but I imagine they would take ideas from the previous games (maybe Online?) So Guar, Kagouti, Alit, Nix-Hounds, Cliff Racers, Kwama, Shulks in Morrowind. Giant Scorpions, Giant Bats, Lamia, Harpies, Wereboars in Illiac Bay. Dreughs turn up pretty much anywhere with water. And a whole slew of Daedra if its still in the lore to include them, not knowing how strict they are going to be (Ogrim, the above poster was thinking of I believe). A few of these have already been modded in, while others might not be easy to incorporate. -

Yeah its a bugger really, looks like I need to remove the whole power supply to find out what it is, they seemed to have installed it with the info obscured by the casing (well, I HOPE thats the case, otherwise the info's been scrapped off completely). From the look of my rig though it is definately roomy and I think should have no problem accommodating something new. -
My current setup can run Skyrim with some light visual mods. Intel® Core i7-2600 CPU @ 3.40GHz, 3701 Mhz, 4 Core(s), 8 Logical Processor(s) Installed Physical Memory 8.00 GB AMD Radeon HD 7700 Series Gigabyte Tech H67MA-USB3-B3 motherboard Not sure what kind of power supply I have. So I was thinking maybe its time to drop in a new GPU, if it would viably let me boost Skyrim's performance, or if it would be more suitable to hold out for a new rig later down the line. So far I've had it suggested I drop in another 8GB of RAM aside from the new GPU. Any suggestions? Any good way to see if a what GPU would do nicely with my current system?

Just some advice, I'm not migrating to MO, did that awhile ago, but had some questions. I started a fresh Skyrim install and started modding up for a new playthrough. But it seems I've gone overboard on things and would like to wipe my current mods and start again. Is it completely necessary to do a fresh installation of Skyrim? Or can I simply remove all the mods in MO and start again?
