Maybe the funniest thing about it is that I've been playing it for half an hour approximately. So, the first problem appeared when I went into the Undead Burg and then decided to return to Firelink Shrine. The game crashed, leaving me with the black screen and a wide white stripe at left edge of the screen. I stopped the game via Task Manager (it wouldn't respond otherwise), and loaded the savegame again. What I noticed was, the text of subtitles and the images of items were so blurry one couldn't make out what's written or drawn. When the game crashed again, again and again, I reinstalled it and started with a new character. Blurry text and images didn't go anywhere, but I thought I might cope with it. However, when I needed to heal my character, Estus Flask wouldn't work, neither would the shield, so for some weirdest reason I can only attack, not block the attacks. Which means I won't survive in this game, huh. I tried installing DSfix, but it was of no help. I'm so desperate about it and don't know what to do. My boyfriend, who has been playing the game for a long time, has never come across any of the forementioned problems. I really want to play Dark Souls, so please, help me! Thank you in advance.
