    I can understand those reservations. Perhaps a different solution rather than directly supporting alternative packaging formats.

    Perhaps Vortex could detect abnormal packaging and allow the user to rectify through an interface its structure before install. ModOrganizer 2 has a system that works pretty well for this.

    For Landscapes - Cathedral Concept it also says earlier "...so that you can use it as a foundation without having to worry extensively about compatibility" Therefore I breezed by treating it like any other textures re-placer. Usually required files are normally stated during the download process as well. This is most likely the source of these issues thank you for pointing it out. My time is limited for testing so I have to do it piecemeal. So unsurprisingly this issue does not appear with vanilla.

    1. I thought it was a corrupted ini. setting. However reverting to default or using the recommended BethINI settings had no effect

    2. SSELODGen the next culprit however doing a "purge mods" Vortex to clean out any generated files did not change the issue.

    3. brand-new save no change

    "I know this problem. Its a combinations of: ASIS, PerMa, and Apocalypse Magic. At least, that's the combo I narrowed it down to on my system. SIC worked just fine for me.

    I believe given that Apocalypse Magic caused problems for him as SIC did for me, it sounds like it's a fundamental issue rooted within the dynamic patching process. The conditions were right for both of us experience the same bug. That being said these mods that we've mentioned contribute to the condition but are not the cause. I need more information from people that have experienced this issue land input from those who might have technical insights on dynamic patchers and TES5Edit.

     

    He is right that if you run ASIS, then PerMa would be the easiest workaround, but I really want to see this issue resolved even if it's rare.

    Has anyone experienced ASIS with Perkus Maximus where they start the game and the main menu never appears but it works when ASIS is disabled?

    it's not a black screen and the game is not frozen completely except for the menu which never appears.

     

    I need your help to figure this out.

     

    Here's my particular situation....

     

    After many many many2hours days of testing I finally found my first lead to solve to solve this issue.

     

    The only difference between all working and nonworking load orders Skyrim Immersive Creatures v6.5.2a

     

    Skyrim Immersive Creatures contains

    Rebirth Monster - SIC Patch.esp – Not used do to testing atm

    Skyrim Immersive Creatures.bsa

    Skyrim Immersive Creatures – DLC2.bsa

    Skyrim Immersive Creatures - DLC2.esp

    Skyrim Immersive Creatures.esp

     

    I highly suspect this is a cumulative issue between Skyrim Immersive Creatures - DLC2.esp, ASIS and Perkus Maximus 1.2 and something else in my lower order.

    The following testing was performed with an updated bash patch and dynamic patchers between each testing cycle.

     

    With Skyrim Immersive Creatures - DLC2.esp installed when the LO is processed by ASIS and Perkus Maximus 1.2 the main menu does not load.

    With SIC DLC2.esp uninstalled when the LO is processed by ASIS and Perkus Maximus 1.2 the main menu loads.

    With SIC DLC2.esp installed after the LO was processed by ASIS and Perkus Maximus 1.2 the main menu loads

    With SIC DLC2.esp installed with the LO was processed only by Perkus Maximus 1.2 and ASIS unchecked the main menu loads

    With SIC DLC2.esp installed with the LO was processed only by ASIS and Perkus Maximus 1.2 unchecked the main menu loads.

    With SIC DLC2.esp installed when the LO is processed by ASIS (with NPC enchant fix unselected) and Perkus Maximus 1.2 the main menu loads.

    If I load just unofficial patches, Skyrim Immersive Creatures, Perkus Maximus 1.2 processed by by ASIS and Perkus Maximus 1.2 the main menu loads

     

    Therefore I believe cumulative issue between Skyrim Immersive Creatures - DLC2.esp, ASIS's (NPC enchant fix), Perkus Maximus 1.2. And something else in my loader.

     

    How should I continue troubleshooting this issue? with TES5Edit? What type of records should I be looking for? Examples anyone?

     

     

     

    Out of order Masters

    I've been working on building my load order and doing a lot of testing. From what I've heard out of order Masters is not a big deal most of the time. From my understanding this happens when an esp is created with an authors load order, then when the user installs the esp with load order that differs then from what the esp was created from.
    When running dynamic patches there picking up some ESP files that have out of order Masters. Consequently it causes a dynamic patch to have out of order Masters.

     

    For instance Masters ported by SleepingDangers-SandsofTime.esp In the window on the lower right side of Wrye Bash

    The second list is what I would expect. But when I run run dynamic like PerkusMaximus_Master it carries over out of order Masters.
    First why discrepancy between what the ESP reports and Wrye Bash list Masters function?
    Are Out of order Masters problematic for dynamic patches?

    I'v gone through my load order and sorted all the Masters. Unfortunately when I create a PerkusMaximus dynamic patch I still get out of order Masters. I'm stumped.

    If all the Masters are in order after running "Sort Masters" in TES5Edit then why is a dynamic patcher creating an ESP file that has out of order Masters?

    Isyour Bashed_patch.esp loaded last and includes skymomod and SiC?

    I know SiC or Skymomod adds a spider to the helgen cave, it might be causing the ctd's

     

    Run tes5edit and see if any mods need reordering.

    Has BOSS said anything in regards to cleaning or out of date mods?

     

     

    Sky test disabled partially fixes the problem. I can now at least enter the without it crashing. Although bear cubs are definitely trying to kill occupants, compared to no spawns with alternate start.

    NPCs use Companions from mods.

    As much as I love companion mods.I wish there was a way that they could be distributed throughout the world allied with different factions. Which means they might be with group bandits and beat the heck out of you or assisting in a gard in his duties.

    It would be neat if this could be some sort of dynamic patch to distribute companions from mods to various NPC's factions for period of time. Then have the companions walked back to their original location or area. I understand some companions are heavily modified AI. But who know's, what you guys think?

    I cant complete Alternate Start - Live Another Life. It crashes every time with a new game upon cell transition into the cave where you give one of the two soldiers a healing potion. Naturally I fired up TES5Edit To see if there is any conflicts with alternate start and seems to me alternate start wins in all the categories as it's close to the bottom of my load order. What are your thoughts?

     

    Processor: 2500k stock frequencies
    RAM 8GB
    SSD for Skyrim and OS
    670 GTX 4 GB edition
    ENBboost
    Windows 8 64-bit

    Average CPU load 36%
    when recording 45%
    GPU load: 65% to 70%

    To everyone who hasn't bought a premium membership that is thinking about it, do it! That lifetime membership pays for itself in time. I'm pulling 6mb per sec with my downloads and I'm not getting hob clobbered by ads! The site is given me a game thats lasted many years instead of months especially with oblivion and now skyrim. Not to mention all the other games I haven't played that Nexus supports!

    Essentially, yes, that is what I'm suggesting. it wouldn't be all that difficult to implement. Every file is tied to a particular mod and it could be easily indexed during the upload process. Often working with other peoples load orders it becomes frustrating to identify mods.

    Part of the problem with mod authors, especially in skyrim and oblivion is that they have poor mod packaging. This problem can be split into two parts. One file structure. Two .esps/.esms names. File structure is a big issue for any type of mod manager to resolve, but that's not what I'm here to talk about. Often .esps/.esms names are not representative of the mod's actual name or it's an acronym. Therefore, it is difficult to identify mods by looking at esps/.esms names.

     

    My proposal is to add a search field for .esp or .esms. That way, users can search using "Immersive Werewolves.esp" to find "Immersive Patrols by Scrabbulor" This would be invaluable to anyone that does not have access to the a authors readme or the full mod title. What do you guys think of this proposal? What other purposes it could serve?
