So I installed Skyrim on my new pc, installed loads of mods, almost all of which I have always used (did update a few to newer versions) and the few that are new don't have anything to do with the crafting menu. Now my crafting menu is different. Instead of stuff being organised by material, as I as used to, it sorts everything by weapons, armour, etc. See the link below: Screenshot​ Does anyone know by which mod this is caused and how I can change it back to the normal menu? I have SkyUI. There indeed is an option to change the font size, but it doesn't change anything if I set it to large.

I tried looking for a mod that does this, but couldn't find it. I am playing the game on a 40" tv screen as I lie on my couch. My screen is about 5 meters away from me. Although it plays quite comfortably, often I can't see the texts ingame. It isn't that big of a deal in items lists, but in dialogues or in the journal it can be quite annoying. So I would like a way to increase the font size ingame. Any help is greatly appreciated! :D

I found it which mod was the culprit: UNP Dawnguard Armors. Somehow something is one of the files in the following map: \Data\meshes\dlc01\clothes\prisoner For those who also have this issue, delete the whole 'prisoner'-map.

Thanks for the tips bben46 and it might come to the point I actually have to completely uninstall and reinstall Skyrim. It's just odd. All the mods I have installed at this moment are must haves for me. Most of them I have been using for years without any problem. There are just a few with which I haven't had a 25+ hour playthrough, but even those I have been using for several months and I always have been able to play the Helgen part without any problems at all. Thanks to everyone who tried to help (especially MysteriousSquall, you've tried to help me the most), but I think something went wrong with the installation (to me that seems the only logical conclusion left) and I need to reinstall Skyrim when I want to play as a female. For now however, I will let my male Orc roam Skyrim, plunder tombs :pirate: and hunt rabbits :devil:

I don't have FNIS, but I do have SKSE (and Skyrim Script Dragon) installed, most recent versions of both (I checked before I installed them yesterday). Brawl Bugs CE is a requirement for some mods (don't remember which one anymore, so I installed it to be safe), but doesn't do anything on its own. If I remember correctly Masters of Death only unlocks kill-animations which are in the game files, but Bethesda didn't add them to the game itself when they released it, and it allows me to increase how often these animations happen. I have set these to the same values I always do and it didn't give me any problems in the past. I'll try LOOT, see if that fixes anything. Thanks for the tips :smile: Edit: Loot didn't help, so I'll try BOSS.

Thanks MysteriousSquall! I've added my dxdiag.txt for the specs. I've removed some stuff from it, but only for privacy reasons. Everything you need should still be in there. I've changed my loadorder to the order you gave me. Only difference was that the game frooze first for a few seconds before crashing.

Yes, you can. Got a new pc with Windows 8 (later upgraded to 8.1) last year in september, been playing Skyrim on and off since then and it's working fine (any problems I have are not windows related).

Have you checked your settings? Maybe they are lower than they used to somehow?

So I have reinstalled Skyrim and decided to keep the amount of mods low (still installed about a 100 mods, but still, way less than the previous time). Start of the game goes quite smooth, right untill the point I go into the keep. It doesn't matter if I choose Hadvar or Ralof, the exact moment the animation start to cut the bindings, my game ctd's. I also noticed it only happens with female characters. So I guess that means a mod has overwritten the female animation for get the bindings cut. Also, I did manage to get through it one time with a female character, but closed the game again because I realized there was another mod I wanted and thought it best to just start a new game (and didn't save after that part). The ctd at this specific moment happened both before and after I installed this last mod and since it's a weapon mod, I don't think this particular mod is the cause of the problem. Is there anyone who can help me? I have added my loadorder.txt as an attachment.If you need anything more from me, let me know and I'll do my best to provide it. Edit:I found which mod was making me ctd. It was UNP Dawnguard Armors (odd since I have been using it for quite a while, but there it is).There is somewrong with the files in the following map, so just delete the whole map if you've got this problem too:\Data\meshes\dlc01\clothes\prisoner

So the last couple of weeks I tried reinstalling Skyrim, but constantly got a CTD right after showing the 'Bethesda Softworks' part in the intro, while installing mods. It was with a different mod everytime. I looked around on the internet, but couldn't really find a fix or anyone else that had this problem. I did read somewhere though that in the plugin.txt in appdata there should be one Skyrim.esm and not two. Now I happened to not have a Skyrim.esm in my plugin.txt at all (while everyone else seemed to have two (2) while they should have only one (1)). For anyone else with this same problem, add it! It fixes this ctd. The path to this file is: C:\Users\<your username>\AppData\Local\Skyrim The file you have to alter is plugins.txt (open it with notepad) and add 'Skyrim.esm' (without the quotation marks) at the top. You may have to change a setting that shows you hidden maps and files to be able to find the appdata map. Just wanted to share this, since I had much trouble finding this.

I didn't know he had done them too! Tried to download his Book of Silence mod in the past, but something went wrong every time, so just downloaded some of his mods seperately. I think I will give it another try. And they look nice indeed! Thanks!

I've been searching the Nexus for a while now, but I can't find any actually good looking silver swords retextures or replacers. They're either to boring or way to fancifull (like gold on the sword). Anyone know an actually good looking silver sword retexture or replacer or is willing to make one? Thanks in advance!
