  1. I've recently been experimenting with several ENBs and comparing and contrasting my performance to others, before, and after the ENB was applied. However, I am not able to accurately give myself a performance prediction using this info because it seems as though I am capped at 60 fps. No matter whether I am staring at the ground, the sky, inside or outside, it never shoots above 60, or the occasional 61 for a split second. So I did some searching and found the iPresentInterval value had to be changed to 0. Unfortunately, doing so changed nothing. My fps still seems capped at 60 no matter where I am. I have also tried setting everything to low, and it remains at 60, so performance is not the bottleneck here. I would just like to know why I am not able to turn vsync off. I do realize there are some physics quirks that may come along with doing so, but I am doing this just to get a reference of my stock performance.
  2. Note that the GTX770 is substantially better than the HD 7870. Though I'll check it out.
  3. I am currently running a PC with an AMD FX-6300, and an AMD Radeon HD 7870, both of which run vanilla skyrim effortlessly. On the other hand, once I start trying to install some ENBs (I've tried Project ENB as well as Realvision ENB), my performance skyrockets downwards, hovering around the 30fps mark, but often dropping to the 20s. I personally feel the amazing graphics do not justify the less enjoyable gameplay experience, yet, my PC definitely has some horsepower to spare. What I want to know is if there exists some ENB packages which improve the visuals by a worthy amount, while simultaneously not needing the highest of the high end multithousand dollar PCs to run well. As long as my frame rate does not drop under 30, all is fair game.
