  1. If you've ever played The Witcher 2 (and probably the first one too, but I've never played that) you'll be familiar with the wearable trophies that enemies drop. Anyway, I was wondering if something like those wearable, stat increasing trophies could be, or has been done in fallout nv, such as with deathclaw hands, mantis legs, scorpion poison glands and things of that nature. It seems fairly easy to do, as all of these things already have 3d models from the start. You would just have to find a way to make it craftable into an apparel item. Of course, i don't know the first thing about making mods, so maybe it isn't as easy as it seems. Much thanks to anyone who can direct me to a mod like this!
  2. Has anyone ever created a mod that makes your player look like a muscular, tank type guy? I'm currently playing a dumb brute kind of character, but his average build makes him look... well, average. So I'm wondering if there's a mod already that allows you to make your character big and buff, like they're obviously stronger than most. I've already increased my character's size using console commands, but the generic build that everyone has in the game makes him look somewhat lackluster as a big brute/tank character. I'm looking for something like that "bruiser" trait in Fallout 1, and I think 2 as well, but that actually alters your player's size and appearance, which I don't remember if that trait did. Much thanks for any help regarding this!
  3. I read a bit into your thread, and I must say I love your ideas, especially the wild wasteland stuff. I agree with you as well, that it should remain mostly desert, as that is what made me fall in love with the space to begin with. To be honest, if I had any clue of how to mod I might be inclined to try and collaborate with you. Keep it up, good sir, and you have yourself a fan.
  4. Has anyone ever done anything, mod-wise, with the massive desert beyond that locked gate at the Mojave Outpost? It's f'ing enormous!!!! It's the size of the whole rest of the New Vegas world, if not larger! I just now on a whim decided to tcl through that gate, and there is an enormous amount of explorable space, that you can walk around in. Granted, the area is rather empty and boring, what with it being nothing but empty sand dunes, but it is still fully explorable, and seems to me has massive potential. A modder or dedicated group of modders could make a mod the size of the base game in that space, given enough time and the right skills. The only thing about that, though, is that it is the same world space as the rest of the game, so a large mod of that sort could decrease performance, unless worked around in some way. Still, though that seems a small obstacle for the great amount of potential space that could be used there. It's crazy how passionate I am about this empty desert! I don't know the first bit about mod making, though, so it's possible that I'm overestimating this desert's potential. Doesn't change my sudden love of this place, though! :D
  5. Just an idea. Traveling merchants should carry their stock either with the brahmin that they have tagging along, on their person or both. It bothers me when I kill them for loot that no one in their caravan actually carries what they sell. Where are they getting it from?! However, if this is done, then the security of the caravan should be beefed up considerably to discourage robbing them. I'm really just hoping for some kind of overhaul improving the benefits and increasing the risks of robbing a caravan. I have no idea if what I am requesting is possible, however, as I have no experience with creating mods. It could add quite an amount of extra fun for a guy like me who has completed the game multiple times. Much thanks if you decide to do this!
