okay, I'm confused here. I am looking to install mods on my skyrim special edition to get some of the modded armors and clothes. like 99% of them all say you need UNP body, seraphim body, CBBP body etc .. . nobody seems to make a mod that just modifies the look on vanila bodies, you always have to have the special bodies. I'm not really complaining about that, i'm just confused. I finally found one that doesn't need the body replacer and it still needs the skeleton replacer I need help explaining what I need to have. I found the skeletons and the body replacers and they all say I need the script extender, but I'm seeing conflict because isn't the script extender for special edition unfinished? and yet there's already a couple thousand (allegedly working) mods for special edition that need it. am I gonna have to wait, or install a beta version of the script extender to use the body and skeleton mods required to use any of the clothing and armor mods?

well, as a matter of fact I got changed to vampire lord by serana to get into the soul cairn and since she follows you through most of the quest line, I was unaware of the "conditional" nerf on my vampiric drain when she is with me. I hate followers and never use them... I have since finished dawnguard and had to cure myself to get the guy to talk to me again so I have no gotten around to asking serana to turn me back yet. I don't really get why they had to nerf vampire lord only when serana is following and then force you to take her through most of dawnguard...maybe they thought it would make it challenging? it might have been fun to fight harkon vampire lord vs vampire lord but serana ruined it...bonehead programming and I know someone made a mod for it but whatever, I finished dawnguard I just wanted the vampires to stop killing off all my vendors...another bonehead programming decision... right at the beginning of the game I lost belethor like 10 minutes after getting to whiterun and had no idea why because it happened off stage then I lost the warmaiden in the next vampire attack...her ashes are still in front of my house where they have been for the last 175 hours then I lost her husband in the next attack because he was inexplicably outside instead of minding the shop. then I lost the blacksmith of riverside in a dragon attack and had to adopt his daughter (nothing to do with vampires I know) then I lost madesi and mjoll the huntress and maven blackbriar in riften (I reloaded) I lost all the food vendors in markarth (I just let them go) then the vampires tried to kill lod in falkreath and I was like...eff this I better finish dawnguard it seems like the vampires specifically target the vendors first. I supposed they must done that to kind of pressure you into finishing...and as I progressed, the attacks started getting worse and more frequent and some essential quest npcs got permanently locked into running away in fear mode from the constant attacks and it took several reloads but I finally did it and I digressed, my point is I probably won't do that again. if I ever get around to asking serana to change me back I will try and finish the perk tree and I have the bow now to make things easier

okay I google searched this and can't find an answer. i looked on uesp and can't find this either. I am level 100 right now and latley for the past few days I have noticed that most humanoid enemies will flee combat as soon as it starts. I run up to a bandit camp and there's like 6 of them and start flinging ice spikes and 2 of them come at me with swords 2 start shooting me with bows and 2 start screaming" we've been routed!" and flee. and then i hit the 2 with swords and only take like 10% of their health away and they start fleeing too. it seems like every humanoid enemy does this, even the dremora valkynaz at mehrunes dagons shrine. and before people start jumping to conclusions... I am not using any fear inducing gear, I custom enchant everything myself and I never use fear effects. this goes way beyond normal AI behavior. I am aware that enemies "yield" when almost dead but this is not what is happening, they are just fleeing at the first sign of combat or after only a couple of hits. am I so high level now that they just recognize my general badassery or is this a bug? I can't find an answer but a couple other people appear to have this problem and one suggested it might have something to do with intense flames perk. I can't say for sure but i do seem to remember first noticing this behavior rigt after taking intense flames...and it got annoying so I stopped using fire spells and switched to ice but the enemies still ran away. then I got 100 destruction and made it legendary but they are still running away. I know that some effects of perks remain even after legendary like if you make speech legendary, you can still invest and bribe and all the vendors continue to have the extra 1000 gold even though you don't have the perks anymore. could this be the problem? am I still benefiting from intense flames even though I don't have it anymore? is there a bug with intense flames causing it to be applied to all damage I do from any source not just fire? is there a mod out there to fix this? It's not that I really "mind" enemies running from me but it kind of takes the challenge away and it seems abnormal because for the first 220 hours the enemies never did this, it is only just recently that they started to act this way

okay...I am playing through the dawnguard questline..because I finally got sick of the endless vampire attacks killing off my vendors. I became a vampire lord halfway through and I am playing around with it ...maybe go for the steam achievment. I am thinking this may be due to the "mobflation" that occurs at higher levels, the vampire lord looks powerful in theory if I was still level 10 when I became it... I just want to hear other's opinions on the vampire lord form the thing is, i dunno if I am playing it wrong or if its just really poorly designed. it could also have something to do with the way the leveled enemies scale...i am level 73 right now. when I turn into the lord, I have this weak raise dead spell that doesn't work on anything they all say the level is too high, and the drain life spell is so crappy and weak it takes 8 shots to kill a mudcrab and about 15 shots to kill a "bandit" and anything above "bandit outlaw" is practically unkillable. the form has like zero armor so if I get ganked by more than 2 enemies they slaughter me in seconds. the descriptions say the claw attacks are "Fast and powerful" but they are pitifully slow and the bite attack to progress my perks is very hard to pull off. enemies that die in 1 or 2 hits with my sword take about 20 claw swipes in vampire lord form. I feel gimped when I transform and I have taken to using tactics like killing all the enemies but 1 then transforming and feeding on the last one... or getting them almost dead with my sword then transforming... or I could just feed on mudcrabs to get the perks but what the heck?

I had no problem with the nudity..it was the double standard, that people love the female nudity and hate the male nudity but...I think I was wrong because the male nude body is pretty popular too...

I hope they make a fallout 4...

okay..I downloaded and installed all the official patches for the main game, dawnguard, hearthfire and dragonborn. I followed the instructions to the letter. I have a screenshot of my load order I have it exactly the way they said in the instructions. maybe these patches are working maybe not. the changes are subtle, i know that a quest that failed to activate suddenly activated right after installing and several conversation topics that i had explored became highlighted again as if I never asked about them and in hearthfire, my mannequins are now on their pedestals where they belong but those are the only changes I really noticed. I have not gone to solusthei yet so i don't even know what awaits me there the reason I am here is because I don't know if the dawnguard patch is working. the thing only had 3 files, a .bsa a .bsl and a .esp file I put them all in my data folder along with all the other mods and .esps. the files are definitely doing "something" here is my concern when I reached the part with the moth priest inside the forcefield, I had to reload about 8 times and use console commands to get past it because he kept becoming permanently hostile or stuck in the crouched crawling pose and one time he appeared outside the forcefield and in the end I had to avoid looting the boss body and use console commands to pass the forcefield and talk to the priest before he went hostle and then I had to use console command on him to get him out of the forecefield so he would walk back to where he had to go.. this is documented as a huge flaw and the unfficial patch "allegedly" fixes this but it did not... now I am at the part where I just returned the blood samples and septimus goes to read the book and just gets stuck there "busy" and I know I can just kill him to move on but...all the sources say that the unofficial patch was supposed to fix this too? so my question is how can I tell if this patch is even working?

okay..I know this is a minor issue and it only delays me a second or 2... but it annoys me so much when I leave the thieves guild through the secret exit and the tomb is always in the open position in the process of closing and I have to wait for it to close completely before the chain will work to open it back up. has anyone anywhere created a mod that puts the tomb in the closed position when you exit the secret exit?

I dunno..i think it adds flavor to the setting. I think they made it a point not to make it have a huge impact on the game. you don't want to completely wipe certain hub cities off the map after all. the CW sets the stage for the beginning scene. (or perhaps you do?) they do make the empire appear evil any game where you see an oganization called the "empire" or the "dominion" it is always portrayed as evil. the thalmor do piss me off and I was going to join the stormcloaks... but seeing the stormcloaks ideal kind of bugs me... they think Nords are some sort of "master race" and that skyrim needs to be ethnically cleansed of all the other races...sound familiar? the thalmor also hold this ideal the only difference is they think the altmer are the master race... dunmers are like... the african americans of the elder scrolls...and the argonians have it just as bad. I did find one book full of anti-orc hate propaganda as well bosmers just kind of sit on the sidelines...does anyone actually play a bosmer? (animal friendship...) so...in my opinion including the CW does add flavor, it adds to the lore, and I would rather have it in there than not have it in there. it is not essential and has no impact on the main game which suits me just fine...although I probably will pick a side eventually just to do everything

Do i have to join the thieves guild or dark brotherhood?
Femaiden replied to buba1's topic in Skyrim's Skyrim LE
we are of course talking about a world where first degree murder is a minor crime punishable by a fine of 1000 gold pieces...and thievery is punished by a fine of 40 gold pieces...unless you are not the dragonborn and the guards and all the common rabble will converge on you and tear you limb from limb...(I saw this happen in riften on multple occasions) -
soul gems don't seem to last very long . . .

"(2) About followers, . . . I had a GREAT time with ol' Barbaras, but he's been the only one; I really wanted to keep him. I didn't care so much about displeasing Vile, but Barbaras wanted to go home. (I'd have gladly traded that whopper axe and the Mask of Clavius Vile for Barbaras! It actually annoys me that so many of the bad princes of Oblivion think that I'll do anything for a fancy weapon. I now routinely throw away all of those weapons and dragon priest masks and the like. The ONE weapon I was really happy to get was the Dawnbreaker, and I've used it pretty much non-stop since then.) OK, got to get out of here . . . <lol> . . . Hope you can clue me in on some of the enchanting info you posted for me. . . . Again, thank you for a really great reply to my original post. :o)" I liked Barbas for a while too...it was sort of like being the Lone Wanderer with Dogmeat...but then he started to piss me off because the AI has him stand so close he is contantly getting in my face and nudging me and pushing me into things and whenever I reached a dead end he would immediatly run in and get in my way and push me and I would have to jiggle and jump to get around him. It got so bad I finally made the trek to finish the quest...its literally clear across the map you finish from where you pick him up.. p.s. back on topic...azura's star might help but soul gems are common and easy to get and I suppose you aren't really complaining about that as much as just the frequency you have to recharge. I had that complaint in oblivion as well, I would use up all the charges on just 1 enemy and the only way to keep it charged was to soul trap every single enemy i came across into azura's star and then open the menu and use it. -
also I thought I should say.. everyone seems to complain about the game settings getting smaller and smaller as the series progresses... what they don't realize is the smaller environments have a greater amount of detail and content so yeah..arena and daggerfall were huge in scope but had very little immersive details. I never played arena but I played daggerfall and the dungeons were randomly generated. the world was set up with provinces and cities that you fast travel to and when you do a dungeon you just tell it to generate a dungeon and fast travel there which gets old after a while. in skyrim, every dungeon is unique and handcrafted and most take 1-2+ hours to complete morrowind had a huge game setting as well maybe not as big as daggerfall but way more detailed...but although morrowind has a bigger play area, most of the dungeons were small, short and reused cookie cutter rooms...I also hated the lack of fast travel... oblivion = cyrodiil may be smaller than morrowind but there was still like 450 locations to visit..and there was more detail. ... however it is still plagued by the "cookie cutter dungeon" there's about 400 dungeons but it feels more like 50 dungeons played 8 times. still 50 handcrafted dungeons is pretty good. I have completed 112 dungeons so far in skyrim and most of those were in the "miscellaneous" quests tab and every one of them was unique. the nordic towers and battlements look cookie cutter but that could be explained away by the nord architecture. my point is that just because the setting is smaller doesn't mean the game is smaller.

" The Zombies in Oblivion were Creepy and way better, yet the Draugr in Skyrim looks like a Downgrade of a poor excuse of a Zombie." technically, if you want to split hairs..the draugr are mummies, not zombies...
-
actually I will reneg what I said..I noticed the "beautiful bodies"..male texture is like 6th in most endorsed...but I do see some comments in there people saying it is "gay" but technically if I am a girl then looking at the CBBE body would be gay...I guess that makes me gay..
-
I dunno, I just had to say this because it amuses me.. someone makes a female body texture replacer that makes all female unclothed bodies look naked with huge breasts and extra attention to detail to the vagina and it becomes the most used, endorsed, downloaded bodt texture mod of all time.. then someone else makes a male naked body replacer that adds penises to all the male npcs and people scream its disgusting and perverted... I just think that's funny..
