  1. Hi fellow modders, Some may have noticed that I have been posting a lot recently - I apologize for that! I have been creating a quest and needed to create a custom new daedric shrine for it - all done with that part. However, I don't wanna place the shrine in the Tamriel world as the character is supposed to do some searching for it. I came up with an idea that the character must go through a cave/dungeon in order to reach what looks like an outside area, but cannot be accessible from the map otherwise. The best example of this is the Bloated Man's Grotto from the Ill Met By Moonlight quest - the Hircine quest in which when hunting down Sinding, you go through a cave and reach an area in which he stands on his rock in front of the moon etc and must hunt him down in an area that looks like outside. I read somewhere that you must create a WorldSpace and then WorldSpace LOD - is there any tutorial you may know of that I could follow? I have trouble getting started. Thank you in advance, Odahviing

  4. Hello, I ran into a very strange issue in CK today. I am creating a statue to place into Skyrim which I will need to use for a quest I'm creating. I created it in 3ds Max, exported as .nif, it shows up in CK and everything - however, when I drag and place it into the render window (I used Whiterun Exterior as a test to check size), I cannot do anything with it. I cannot select it to press Edit (to change scale options and other modifications). I can easily select, move, and choose "Edit" for other objects such as rocks, trees, buildings, whatever - just not for my statue. Shortly after, my CK seems to crash. Am I missing something? This is my first time using 3ds Max and messing with .nif files. Also, I succedeed before - I had a .nif model that when placed into CK render window, I was able to move, edit, etc. The only issue with it was that it was tiny. The size of a gold coin. And it was supposed to be the size of an Azura shrine. So, I went back to 3ds Max to make the model larger. I was able to get it into CK and the size was great, I just can't do anything with it! Please, any help is greatly appreciated. Thank you in advance, Odahviing

  7. Hello everyone, I am somewhat experienced with the CK and have previously created many different quests for my Skyrim. Recently, I got a really cool idea for a new quest regarding finding and releasing a banished Daedric god and all the bad stuff that happens with it, of course. For this quest, I wanted to take it a step further and see if I can design my own Daedric Shrine to place into Skyrim so it gives the quest more credibility. I wanted to do something along the lines of Mehrunes' shrine so my character can visit it and see the actual Daedric Lord, not just hear its voice (which I will of course use a creepy voice changer for to sound more Daedric-y :thumbsup: ) I know that I will need some 3rd party software to actually create the 3D model - however, I was wondering if anybody knows how to go about putting it into the CK and into the game? I have never created objects before, just quests. ANY help is greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance, Odahviing
  8. Oh, I also tried renaming the Wilderness cell, but that didn't make things work either.
  9. Sorry for the late response. I moved her to cell 24, 0 and still, nothing. On top of everything, she won't even talk to me at all. Not even a manual conversation - she just keeps saying the generic phrases like "Need something?" "What can I do for you?" "Hmm?" when I try to start the conversation myself. So no forcegreet, and now no conversation at all. I am slowly giving up on this...
  10. I wanted to rename the cell itself from Wilderness to something else and put that as where the forcegreet is supposed to trigger so that way it would trigger correctly. Did some searching on Google, but when trying to change the name, I don't have any Interior Data tab, only a Common Data one.
  11. Tried that, went to talk to her, and as soon as I got into the radius of the forcegreet, the game disabled my controls and she was just staring at me. No dialogue fired. I'm getting pretty pissed, and probably will drop the whole thing. Thank you for your patience this entire time
  12. So here is something interesting. In my CK, 24, -1 is a Wilderness cell (I placed a map marker here as this is where a statue of Talos stands; the map marker's name is Shrine of Talos). http://i385.photobucket.com/albums/oo296/sugar121/wilderness_zpsba3f8028.png What's more interesting is that I went to check out POIVolcanicTundra11 to see if maybe I made some mistake, and this is what I found: http://i385.photobucket.com/albums/oo296/sugar121/tundra_zps47f42d33.png POIVolcanicTundra11 doesn't even exist. At this point I am just completely confused.
  13. I can't figure out how to do it, even though its probably very simple. something just doesn't work, and I have no clue what it is. Looks like Im going to have to switch things around and forget the forcegreet.
  14. That wasn't it. The forcegreet is supposed to happen in cell (24,-1). I was trying to change the ForceGreet package to trigger when I entered that specific cell, but Wilderness is not one of the choices, and that's where I want it to happen. Hmm.
