  1. +---------- | SUMMARY: You don't gain skills or levels, the game doesn't fall apart, and other mods still work. +---------- I have gotten sick of dealing with levelling up and skill training, and would like a mod that removes these things, without locking you at the level of "feels incompetent," and not making everyone the same. My proposed method is as follows: Stop the PC from gaining skill levels (fSkillUseExp = 100,fSkillUseFactor = 100)Remove skill trainers (iTrainingSkills = 0)Increase PC starting skill and attribute levels to appropriate valuesUse race and class to produce diversity of skills and attributesI've investigated some GMST changes, and I've figured out how to stop you from leveling up, as well as how to scale up the effects of most skills. I have not figured out how to change starting skill levels. The problem I see now is that NPCs will still have levels and gain skills and attribute points, and will benefit from these changes on top of that. I have two different ideas to prevent this: Make changes only to the PCStop NPCs from gaining skill and attribute levelsNotes:I would like this to interfere as little as possible with other modsI would prefer not to change individual NPC entries, because I like using mods, and don't want to have to do that for all of them.If I have to make it myself, I would prefer if the changes were entirely in GMSTs, because those are easier to change in TES4Edit
  2. I'm having this problem too. It seems to show up even in gates I've never entered before, even after entering and exiting the Shivering Isles. I am able to close the gates from outside with "CloseOblivionGate" but not from inside with "CloseCurrentOblivionGate" The bug report on the UOP page says something about the gate, "losing its connection with Tamriel," and I have no idea what that means or if I can easily pre-emptively fix it from Cyrodiil. In Bruma, I led Burd and company to the top of the tower, took the stone, got the fog, didn't get teleported out, led Burd and his men back down the tower and out to Cyrodiil, and then closed the gate with "CloseOblivionGate". This seemed to work fine, other than the fact that it was rather cumbersome. I'm looking for an easier way. I've tested with the gates near Skingrad and Bravil, and got similar results. (I didn't try leaving and closing them, but I would imagine it would still work. I just exited the game.)
