I am also unable to get this workaround to...work. I figured out how to access the virus chest and restore the fies, ditto carving out an exclusion for the Skyrim directory. It still flags the skse file as a false positive. Further, when I try to run the game without skse it crashes to desktop after the Bethseda splash page. Very frustrating morning. Edit: I can't even run skyrim after disabling Avast. Boo.
