  1. Have you tried installing and playing with each mod individually? I know that's a pain in the butt, but I spent an evening straightening out my installation order and load order after I uninstalled all my mods and reinstalled them. For whatever reason, despite no changes in anything, I had conflicts between two mods that weren't conflicting the first time I installed them.

  2. Has anyone else had half their workshop lights start functioning backwards? Normal light output during the day, but then a funky blue/white almost like the original workshop light bug during the night?

Never experienced the problem before, only recent mod added was Workshop Rearranged but that doesn't actually change the lights anywhere.

Or is it Nvidia driver version: 390.65?

    mods/load order:

  3. A couple things occurred to me with the latest Fallout 4 update:

    • There isn't any good way to track what mod uses F4SE
    • I don't think anyone expected Fallout 4 to update again (could just be me in that boat)

This only comes up because the game update forced an F4SE update which then causes mods to force an update to the latest F4SE. I don't think it's much of anything other than a slight misalignment and no real functional issue it still causes game errors. It would help with post-update CTD issues due to mods that aren't on an immediate update schedule or those whose authors have gone dormant.

Just a simple check box "Mod Requires F4SE" or it's Skyrim equivalent that translates into a column, or some kind of information box in whatever new application that will replace NMM. Or if that isn't feasible, a column header for F4SE that would go along with the username/version/whatever.

Nothing truly essential, but it'd be great for troubleshooting.

Thanks for all your hard work making awesome stuff for us to enjoy! You guys at the Nexus are awesome and I'm sure I speak for everyone when I say that.

  4. Why is NMM doing this?

    http://orig04.deviantart.net/34fc/f/2016/187/0/e/wtf_by_thaylar-da914rp.jpg

I'm trying to keep it civil but I've been at this all day and I am exceptionally angry at this particular moment in time. And I mean all day. I've had nothing but trouble after trouble with NMM and Fallout 4 and LOOT. I even deleted every reference to Fallout 4 on my computer (and i mean everything including scrubbing the registry) and re-downloaded a fresh copy, reinstalled, rebuilt the plugins, and re-setup the ini's.

And now the latest version of NMM is doing this instead of actually installing any mods? wtf? BTW. They aren't doing anything. They aren't overwriting the previous files, they aren't loading any resources. They are literally doing nothing. There is nothing in the "F:\Steam\steamapps\common\Fallout 4\Mods" folder which is where the virtual folder BS is pointing to. The only reason the base CBBE is working is because I manually installed it after installing it through NMM. And yes, NMM is set to run with administrator privileges. Aside from redirecting NMM to the actual Fallout 4 folder, not the backup copy I keep on a separate hard drive (E:\ just in case you want to know) I have changed none of the default settings of NMM.

Can I just ask what was wrong with how it used to work? I double click a mod, it installs. Simple and DONE. Why are we dealing with symlinks and virtual BS that, by every account I can find when I googled how to fix this, makes everything run slower?

    Thanks,

    -Thaylar

  5. Advertisement is making it more difficult to get to my profile. :\

By the way, I tried bouncing around the nexus a little to see if it happened on all the pages and with different ads. It looks like your ads have been upgraded to the front in the layering order. Not a terribly large deal. But not cool Flo. Not Cool.

  6. If you haven't upgraded yet, I would suggest you not.

I upgraded yesterday and I still have a broken Skyrim. So much broken that I resorted to Plan B: delete all files below the Skyrim folder and copy in a clean unmodded backup I keep, followed by a Steam local game cache verification.

Now I have to go through and manually uninstall all the installed mods because double clicking no longer performs that function and I need the reinstall options as about 20 mods disappeared after the mandatory uninstall/install disaster that mangled everything and I don't know which ones they were (mostly texture replacers...I think).

Nothing beats modding like spending more time modding than actually playing the game.
