  1. Would it be possible to make a mod that allows for the vertibird summon and cross-map travel even if the BoS is destroyed? Maybe the Minutemen stold/salvaged some?
  2. Would anyone be willing to create an equippable 'Old Pickup Truck' that either replaces or covers up the player's body to simulate the appearance of driving around the New Vegas wasteland? In my ideal situation, the truck would not be something that could be picked up into inventory, but that would remain in the game world with a map marker. When activated, the player would disappear or be repositioned inside the truck somehow, and then the truck would move around just as the player moves around using WASD and the mouse. Activating the truck again would cause the player to reappear beside it and the truck to remain where it was 'parked' indefinitely with a fast travel map marker to show its location. Perhaps various engine sounds could be added in an audio template so that the truck appears to idle when activated and the character is standing still, rumble low if activated and the character is walking, or rumble loudly if the character is running? There was a vaguely similar mod for FO3 by J3X that made it possible to drive around in a Chimera Tank. I recall it being somewhat unstable but am not sure why. I was hoping this would be a stripped down version of that, doing away with the weapons and steering scripts in hopes of reducing strain on the game engine. Here is a link to that Chimera Tank mod: http://www.fallout3nexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=3981 I tried to make a very simple version of this in the GECK myself, but I'm pretty useless with it and haven't been able to get past what I'm sure is a very basic pair of stumbling blocks with the truck model appearing to stand on its front end when equipped and when dropped, ending up as a cage around the player due to collision inside the truck cab. Is this a pretty complicated mod to make? I'm so inexperienced with the GECK that I am not even aware honestly.
  3. I've been having a slow escalation of problems for a week or so now until the game would refuse to load at all starting yesterday. I've tried multiple different angles (uninstalling, reinstalling, removing all mods, checking them one by one, etc.) and it seems to be something going on with NVSE as the game is loading to full-screen play mode. For a while now I've been having errors where when I'd load the game through FOMM clicking the NVSE button, the Steam box would pop up, and then the New Vegas loading screen where you click Play to actually load the game, and the sound wouldn't play and it'd crash out. Just canceling out of the error and trying again would work. Then yesterday, it suddenly got much more severe where I could only get it to correctly load once every 10 to 15 tries. If I disable NVSE, the game loads fine from FOMM or the regular launcher. I've discovered if I go through the process from FOMM with NVSE enabled and click Play as quickly as possible when the New Vegas loading box comes up, just as the error box is popping up, the game will still load and the NVSE check with the console ingame still comes back as '1', even when I alt-tab out to cancel out of the error box. So is it something going on only in the launch of the game process? EDIT: Well, so much for the speed click workaround, that doesn't work anymore either. The game does still load sometimes, but I have to launch from FOMM a good 10-15 times per try to finally get the music to play when the New Vegas login box loads up.
