  1. http://www.nexusmods.com/fallout4/mods/531/? Hurray!
  2. Yes, it works! I didn't have time to match song lengths, so I did notice there are occasional silent stretches on the radio (and I assume conversely there'll be songs cut off) as it seems perhaps the length is noted in the code? Not sure, I may be wrong, but over all its working. I did this just for the NPC radio - diamondcity and institute channels. I still suspect that Lynda Carter's songs'll cause a problem but I didn't have time to replace those (I expect the npc might sing them in person - but I don't know for sure). Edited: I went ahead and replaced all of Magnolia's songs as well. Some were marked for radio but most weren't - I expect those are ones she's going to try sing in person. Well not now! It'll look odd in-game I suspect, but I'd rather that than half my videos around her neck of the woods being torpedoed due to content-ids on her singing. Guess I'll find out if I get there before anyone decides to author a mod that makes proper changes to her bit (ie using royalty-free songs with a female singer) - I suspect there'll be lip sync stuff to be fixed with a mod and well, that's a bit beyond my skills.
  3. Ah! I knew I was forgetting something. I'll try adding [Launcher]bEnableFileSelection=1in the Fallout4Prefs.ini. Thanks for the memory jog! Awesome, thank you, LadyMilla! I'll hopefully have time to give this a try later tonight. This is totally new to me (new stuff for ba2 format I mean).
  4. @LadyMilla Ah! I didn't have time this morning to find that, that will help, but the mod would still be cool. :P Hopefully I'll have time tomorrow to make use of your information. I had planned to do that today but ran out of time. One catch I still have to find out how to get around though - simply putting the unarchived files in the data folder doesn't work to override what's in the ba2 file (at least I think, I tried a number of things this morning). I also tried renaming the ba2 file to make it invisible but that just took away all my sounds even though I'd unarchived the entire archive into the data folder.
  5. As someone who is not an adrenaline junkie, and who prefers turn-based games, the old Fallout 3 / New Vegas V.A.T.S was ideal, I could just shoot if I was good with that, and if I needed time to think, plan, or calm down, I used V.A.T.S. This new slo-mo V.A.T.S. is designed for the adrenaline junkie crowd. I do not enjoy the YOUBETTERHURRYUPANDTHINKTIMEISTICKINGTICKINGTICKING that the new V.A.T.S. gives. I play to relax not get stressed out. I beg you wonderful mod authors: someone please make a mod for those of us that like having fewer grey hairs. :P -- LC
  6. Livestreamers and YouTubers'd love you for making a mod that, at the least, removed the copyrighted music played on (I think) the DiamondCity (50s) and Institute (classical) radio stations that plays on the NPC radios, but left the rest of it alone. It'd also be wonderful if it could also kill the Magnolia songs which I think will also be copyrighted (by Lynda Carter) even though they were made for the game. But that I suspect will be far more difficult. Ideally you'd be able to replace them with your own songs (even if named the same as the obliterated ones) that wouldn't cause content-id matches on YouTube and Twitch, but after looking into it some, I see they are using an unfamiliar (to me) format: xwm. File: Fallout 4 - Sounds.ba2 Directories: sound\fx\mus\radio\diamondcity sound\fx\mus\radio\institute sound\fx\mus\magnolia -- LC Edited: Just to be clear, the radio volume slider is for your Pip-boy, not the NPC radios. Fallout 3 had a command to shut off NPC radios entirely, which would be a great stop-gap but I haven't found that yet. I do want to hear the newscasts and such, just not the music that is going to cause issues with LP videos.
  7. The site looks like its back up. Excellent work! :)
  8. Hmm well its improved - its not wanting me to log in any more. Text based page tho. Almost back to normal.
  9. Well, I'm doing a video of Skyrim and I wanted to update my mods before I did that. :P Otherwise, yes I'd be playing! TMI. :P
  10. Hopefully it won't be too hard for them to fix. Guess I'll watch a video and check back later. :)
  11. I've looked into this a bit myself a couple of times in the past week but I have zero experience with nifscope and nif files and I really have no idea where to start. I've also left messages for the Glowing Arrows v2 and Immersive Weapons authors regarding a glowing arrow patch for the various items as appropriate, but no response (as of yet, anyway). Basically, I'd like to see expended arrows from the DLCs, Immersive Armors, and any new ones (if any) added by SkyRe to have the glowing effect found in Glowing Arrows v2 (http://skyrim.nexusmods.com/mods/5811) so I can find the dang things and pick them up. I suspect I'm not the only one swearing as I try to find the skinny, hard to see, arrows lying around the landscape. Failing that, if someone can point me to a video on how to add glow to the expended arrows I'd be willing to have another go at creating the patch mods myself. I did find a video that showed how to modify an existing glow, but not one on how to add a brand new glow. And that mod author won't have time to do a video on his method of adding glow to a new item for some time to come. His method is the one Bethesda uses, and is different from the method used by Jerry60k of Glowing Arrows v2. I'd also appreciate an explanation on how to change glow colors so I can tweak them to be different for each arrow type, if possible. Yes, I know, I want it all! :P Thanks! LC
  12. I too would like to see this. Especially if it picked up any arrow or bolt lying around (that wasn't owned) using keywords. Then (hopefully) it would gather arrows that are added by mods! A spell maybe, to scoop up arrows and bolts, but not something that has a script running all the time.
  13. A good list. Personally, I have tried most of these and am using some of them already. I think I've gotten mine somewhat playable again, but I need to do another play test run to find out for sure. :P
  14. *bump* Hm, am I the only one who desires a replacement for the blue night eye shader?
  15. I was wondering if any kind soul with the know-how could provide alternates to the night eye blue filter? I don't know if its aging eyes or side effects of my poor RL night vision, but the blue filter makes it a) barely brighter than without, and b) extremely hard for me to discern interesting objects from the overall blueness. Oblivion had a mod by Timeslip (Oblivion Night Eye Shader Replacement) that provided a plethora of choices for night eye shaders to replace vanilla. I always used the one that looks like normal sight as the others didn't allow me to see things very well. I've been checking for shader replacements here for over a month now, but so far no dice. So, I thought I'd throw myself on the mercy of the graphically inclined mod builders. :P If, by some ill luck I've missed finding an already existing mod, a nudge in the proper direction would be much appreciated. TIA A Semi-blind LadyCat
