  1. What I remember from my playthrough a year or so back: Eat your stew (stamina regen FTW) and if you're attacked by an invisible fist fighter, run like hell.

  2. I really don't have any issue with people using and creating these mods. All I ask for is for people to CORRECTLY TAG THESE ABOMINATIONS so that my filters keep them hidden.

My list of blocked authors must be reaching a hundred entries soon.

  3. It's a single-player game, in my opinion you're free to do with it as long as it harms noone.

The question is if the Nexus should host such files that could be considered unsettling or offensive; there are plenty of other mod sites around that allow every kind of perversion to be posted and publicly indulged.

And I think this website here has found a nice middle ground; most mods, even those contanining clearly pornographic material, are allowed. But it usually stops short of sexualised violence and stuff involving children. That's good enough for me. If someone can't handle those, there's always the option of turning on filters for nudity.

  4. I sometimes roll an almost pure alchemist and only throw in some Alteration. Damage is dealt by poisoning my enemies, then paralyzing them. Seeing their foes helplessly laying on the floor while their life is sapped away brings joy to these bastard's dark hearts.

  5. I'd suggest following the STEP project for your entry into modding. They teach you proper modding techniques, show you how to set up vital bugfixes, how to use the most important tools for modding, and show you a vast selection of mods that improve the game without changing it completely.

  6. Gotta say I'm really impressed by that kind of staying power. ~20 mb would be really fine for that long a game; stored items will increase that count.

Last time I had a case of bloated save, it racked up 16 MB after about four hours of playing.

  7. Well it takes me atleast 30min when I create my character and I usually setup all the configurations in mod config before I choose my new life in alternative life mod.

Not sure, does MCM setup start when the game starts? From the messages in my top left corner, it seems to start once I've finished char setup. But I could be wrong, since I don't usually take that long in the char creation menu.

  8. Yea, not having auto- or quicksaves improves load times DRASTICALLY, too. I know it's a Beth game, and thus saving often is not only recommended but mandatory, but I'd still advice against letting the game handle your saving for you.

  9. The Engineering Guild by some dude or other whose name I have forgotten.

But since he does not believe in using TES5Edit to clean ITMs and UDR I'm afraid I can't recommend his mods.

  10. Crashing/Physics bugs during starting a new game can for the most part be circumvened by using Alternate Start - Live another life. Stay in that room for awhile (until you can access all your mod's MCMs seems to be a good rule of thumb to figure out the safe starting time), then use the "I got caught crossing the border illegally" option.
