  1. I too had this problem after a fresh NMM install, it turned out to be in the NMM settings, first box you need to check "associate with NXM URL's"
  2. Problem during my chars attacking animation I get a sudden rush of speed like I just hit a patch of Black ice, sometimes I go so far as to slide right through the NPC I'm attacking; this only happens during melee animations not ranged. Char is a Nord playing mostly sword and board backed up by a bow, no magic Loaded Mods via NMM SMIM and it's recommended mod list plus Hi res DLC I have not run TESedit or BOSS system specs Win7X64 on C:/ Skyrim located in E:/ProgramFilesX86/Steam Both drives are SSD I7 930 @ 4.0ghz. GTX 470 OC 1280 mb vram 6 gb ram O/S Wn7 X64 n SSD Steam library is on a seperate SSD I am currently at work and unable to post game files
  3. I recently updated the to newest Nvidia driver and started having driver crashing issues, my system is completely water cooled so heat is not the issue for me nor was GPU OC since I tried it with and with out, I started a roll back campaign on the drivers and ended up back at the 320 series, I was running 310, my game looks a lot better with the newer drivers and with the 320.18 I have not had any driver crashing even with bumping my GTX 470 50mhz on the core and 700 mhz on the vram. I suggest trying an older driver to see if the problem goes away, by the way when the driver crashed my system did not, I would get a black screen warning on my monitor of "loss of video signal" for a few seconds and then the game would come back. All the newer Nvidia drivers have an option for a clean install if you choose custom install, I always choose custom as I have no need for anything other than the video driver, no 3D, no Phys X, no Nvidia HD audio.
  4. Aldaz you have effectivly cut your video cards ability to quickly load texures in half, yes the 650 ti has a stronger GPU (ie more Cuda cores) but half the lanes going from the GPU to the 2 gb of memory, think og iy this way, you went from a four lane high way to a 2 lane road
  5. I have noticed this as well, but only over the weekend, when I download from the Nexus during the week I get my max speed for my IPS, as noted by others it is only The Nexus that I have this problem with, any other site i doanload from is good, I also have noticed when I try a manuel download from the Nexus that every available server in Salt lake as at least 70 or more users P.S. It also takes quit a long time for the Nexus server to respond on the week ends
  6. Sounds like "Dragoborn" is a remake of the Blob
  7. Do you allow Steam to sync with the cloud? might be there, you could also try restoring the folder from windows back up if you have a recent one
  8. This is the direction i was going in, OP your new card as the newer chip but it has less memory bandwidth. GTX 560 with 256 bit memory interface GTX 650Ti with 128 bit memory interface This will have a large impact on how fast the graphics can update in memory
  9. Let me be the first to warn you that you are headed down a path that is more addictive than heroin so you might as well get your hands dirty now, there should be a DATA plate/sticker on your power supply, you might have to remove the PSU (power supply) from the case to see it. Google your motherboard to see if it will accept a faster CPU or maybe let you over clock yours which will require a better CPU cooler. I would suggest more CPU speed via better CPU or OCing, new graphics card with at least 2gb of video memory (Vram) and a small SSD just for Skyrim (Solid State Disk) 60 or so GB would suffice. As has already been mentioned you should seek help on a dedicated hardware forum like Tom's or Overclock.net or Overclock.com or ExtremeOC.com all are good places to start.
  10. Yes, follow the STEP guide, it solved my CTD and failure to load issues. I also removed Skyrim from my RAID 0 drive to a small SSD that only houses my Steam library and NMM files. I created a clean zip file of my Steam library should I need to restore a corrupted game again. (takes me 8 hours to download the game) I aslo gave up trying to run NPC mods, I only have two CBBE v3 and CBBE armor/clothes For graphics I installed SMIM and his recommended graphic mods my system I7 930 @ 4.2ghz. 6 gig ram win7 pro X64 on SSD C:\ Steam Library on SSD D:\ Evga GTX 470
  11. If all you want is for your follower to mount a horse then might I suggest Amazing follower tweak, I use it and lst night I purchased a second hourse for my follower and she mounted it, this will also give you more control over what your follower wears
  12. I used this mod to clean a save that was CTDing due to me removing several mods, it worked real well, so well in fact that I lost all my upgrades to breesy home, no big deal since I currently live in Riften with my three house carls
  13. Found this when i Goggled an unrelated problem I am having and wanted to mention since I did not see it here, onioning 8 gig of ram in a 32 bit OS is a waste because of a windows 32 bit limitation, the OS can not use more than about 3.25 gig, i have seen this in my own experiance as well, OP never did state his video memory size but the 9800GT was offered in two sizes, 512mb and 1gb. Lord Garon it is people like you in the Skyrim community that make this game so enjoyablem, what with all the free mods and tech support that would cost extra for any other game. I was having CTD issues but mine where caused by over writing save game files, stopped doing that and problem went away My system I930@4ghz. 6 gig DDR3-1600 GTX-470 (1280 vram) Skyrim is on a dedicated SSD
