  1. Yes, of course! Thank you Lord Garon! I had saved during animations which caused the script to keep running or something to that affect. One answer I received from a brilliant mind was this. A proper clean save followed by the FNIS update worked like a champ  Then, CTD is never caused by FNIS (Behaviors). It can be caused by FNIS Spells, which is only a small add-on, like by any other scripted mod, especially when it has changed some internal interfaces. 2 mod common causes of CTD: low memory. If you have little memory and/or run memory consuming programs in the background you can easily get CTD. Like where you said Tpose -> freeze -> CTD. That's typical. change in any scripted mod, especially when your saves where made while the scripts where running. Indication "Error: Cannot play a None idle on an actor". Make a clean save. If you don't know how to do that then look into the FNIS FAQ.
  2. Thank you for such a detailed reply, man!! Good looking out!! I just did not feel cozy with leaving my Skyrim folder defenseless like that in "Exceptions" I gave in though, before I got the chance to see your answer, uninstalled Avast and got MSE, which of course says SKSE is good to go. The MSE "lore friendly" blue castle and banner icon won me over, I think. Thanks again, dwiss! I appreciate it! :)
  3. I am sorry to open this thread back up! I cant upgrade to version 131026-2. Avast phone support was unable to tell me how to. I updated the program and the virus definitions, however Avast will not update further than Program version 2014.9.0.2006 Virus definition 131027-0. SKSE is still in my quarantine and I still have the entire Skyrim folder in exclusions. If someone would be so kind as to lend some advice? Are there any other free antivirus that might play nice with SKSE? For the time being, it is considered safe to DL any mods off of the Nexus without virus's?
  4. EDIT - I spoke with the Avast heathens a couple of hours ago and they were lollygagging. If anyone hears for sure that they have fixed it, would you be so kind as to alert the community via this thread, please? That way some of us can stop hunting for a new antivirus? btw.. I was about to install a couple of Nexus mods...those are all deemed virus free, obviously, right? Since I have forsaken my defenses in the Skyrim folder for the time being?
  5. I am so new to all this and computers in general. Could you please be so kind as to explain how to get my desktop icon back? I followed your steps so far :)
  6. Sweet baby Talos, I thought it was just me! My whole icon just disappeared! I think I am getting The fear over here.
  7. Thank you very much, I was lucky enough to get some excellent advice and it is all working beautifully now. Thank you, Lord Garon, I will be sure to check that load orders match up right. You have a awesome day! I appreciate your help!
  8. Well, its always a good idea to update mods. Papyrus logs are rarely useful for indicating crash causes. MANY "errors" and log entries are a result of normal game operations. If you watch them long enough (not recommended), you'll see they simply go away as the game engine catches up to events, loads new cell data, etc, etc. I found this on the FNIS mod page: I have de-installed one of the mods which use FNIS Behavior. Now I get CTD when loading a save file. That's a sytem reaction when a behavior file is missing. Run GenerateFNISforUsers.exe and you should be fine again. Its not your situation, but a missing behavior file can cause a CTD. You might try running the generator again and see if it helps, especially if the CTD happens at repeatable points in the game (when a particular animation is used). If not, try the upgrade. I hesitate to say it, but I don't think it could hurt. Just out of curiosity, how do you start your game? Lord Garon, thank you. I just found out that readme extraction settings must be changed in NMM to allow for readmes. Animation mods are sometimes dependent on them. My game is loading up now, although I still cant get FNIS spells to animate for some reason. Im not sure what I have done wrong. I start my game via SKSE. I have autosave & steam cloud disabled and I just hardsave. Not that you asked all that just didnt want to leave anything out. I really appreciate you trying to help me sort it out, thank you so much.
  9. I am a save game bloat hypochondriac. Just in case you have not heard about it, there is a SKSE fix to help maintain a safe file size, if you utilize SKSE. Go to Skyrim/Data. Create a new folder named SKSE.ini Open notepad in a new tab. Write- [general] ClearInvalidRegistrations=1 save and name it "SKSE.ini" and close. You will find it in documents. Drag and drop it in the SKSE folder you made. Wahh lah! Here is a link. http://www.darkcreations.org/forums/topic/3752-skse-cleans-invalid-scripts-from-old-mods/. Sorry if you've already heard about it!
  10. Oh my goodness, the fact that you translated any of that Matrix is so impressive to me! Thank you very much! I hope there is a way to fix it. I heard that if I remove a mod without Wyre Bash it can cause problems, even if you use a earlier save?
  11. Thank you. I save through console so I have a save named "before animations." I was really hoping to get FNIS proper though, as my whole goal is to get some animations in particular that require FNIS :)
  12. Please help! I installed FNIS and the Pretty motion pack about two weeks ago. It worked well and good for about a week or so. Now I CTD 95% of the time. I suspect FNIS because one of the times it decided to load, I was in a frozen game with a T-pose. Now FNIS spells do not work, even though Pretty motion pack does. Here is some info to help. I have Skyrim 1.9.32.0.8 SKSE version 1.6.16 rel44 FNIS version 4.0.1 (I see a new version just came out could that be the issue?) Here is a snippet of my papyrus logs
  13. I doubt that it matters unless there are other things in the esp files. But the mod author didn't give a load order, so they're probably fine where they are. Are you having issues with the mods, or are you just concerned about the load order? Yes. I CTD. I installed FNIS and the Pretty motion pack about two weeks ago. It worked well and good for about a week or so. Now I CTD 95% of the time. I suspect FNIS because FNIs spells do not work now all of the sudden and because one of the times it decided to load, I was in a frozen game with a Tpose. Here is some info to help. I have Skyrim 1.9.32.0.8 SKSE version 1.6.16 rel44 FNIS version 4.0.1 (I see a new version just came out could that be the issue?) Here is a snippet of my papyrus logs
  14. Hello, Lord Garon, and thank you so much for your reply! That is what I saw listed in the Data Files in Steam? I have FNIS, it is listed 5th from the bottom up there :) Should the Pretty motion mods be under FNIS then, rather than under Alternate Start?
