Hello to all, I am having a bit of problem, I am unsure if anyone can help me since it is kinda my doing but, here it goes... I have an acer 5742g series laptop, I have i5 cpu, nvidia 420m cuda 2gb (I think unshared memory but doesn't matter much) 8 GB 1033 Mhz kingston RAM, and had a scorpio blue 320 GB 5400 RPM HDD... I recently fried my HDD and bought a Seagate momentus XT SSD Hybrid 500GB... The thing is, because I fried my last HDD, I don't have the drivers for the laptop, I got to the website and downloaded the drivers, updated them as necessary, I am currently running Nvidia 285.62 Drivers... Now to the problem: I installed skyrim, running on 1.30 patch, auto detection set to "high" and I started playing, I experienced stuttering, I lowered AA and AFiltering both to 2 samples and I know the game should run without any problems but stuttering continues, I set them both to "Off" and game plays flawless, I am 100% sure that I was playing the game both AA and AF 2 samples before the HDD incident... I haven't tested the laptop with other games but I feel I might have missed a driver or something... Any help is appriciated, thank you...

Can we somehow implement white wolf's masquerade? Maybe cast spells with health instead of magicka... Or maybe every time you feed you get a blood point in order to cast unique vampiric spells, also why seduction and servant spells are once per day? I beliece these should be changed too...

Heya all, I am having a bit of problem with my wireless microsoft 1000 mouse... Apparently the scroll wheel does not zoom in to the pipboy map and there are even problems with scrolling through the inventory. Acutally this mouse wheel problem occurs in Dragon Age too but the mouse works perfectly in firefox or explorer or any other program... I have the latest drivers for the mouse (at least windows tells me so) and I use a laptop with win 7 starter on it... Can anyone help me? Thanks

Hey to you all, I have a little tiny bit question... When I try to launch New Vegas this error occurs, xinput1_3.dll is not found try re installing the applicaton bla bla... The thing is I got a new laptop and I dont know what is installed and what is not, the specs are i5, Geforce gt 420 M 2GB and 3 GB of RAM... But since I recently bought it I dont have the slightest clue on what to do, so should I install directx 11? What might be the problem? Any help is appriciated... Thank you...

Try marts mutant mod, it adds our best buddy, the wanamingo to the game :D also use FOSE with weapon kit mod, it is also a good mod to use...

I think that mod has some bugs hidden somewhere, I sometimes shoot, say a raider and it takes my whole magazine to even dent the guy's armor... I have beaten the vanilla fallout and never seen this particular bug...

I am not sure if it will help but did you try downloading the latest ffdshow and installed it? I was having the same problem and after installing ffdshow not it works... Well still I suffer from CTD s but it is playable now...

@tehweave : I guess you can run an older patch and go back... @girls4me2 : Well I am not sure what causes your CTD but you may try the ffdshow fix, my game is working fine now that I installed the latest ffdshow... Just google it and give it a try...

ok just a little info first? OS? System specs? first defrag your HDD, then update all your drivers, create some disc space in your HDD... Also does your PC meet the minimum requirements?

yea thx, I really like this game and the series but the bug list is longer than the Great Wall... But beggars cant be choosers I guess...

Ok it seems that the ffdshow problem, I installed the required codec and now it is working. But I still dont understand why the game was working with a fresh install... Anyways, problem solved, thanks again for your help and suggestions

ok it seems the problem continues, I installed the latest G4WL and apparently I didnt have the frame network 3.5 sp1 and now it is installed... After the installation I applied the latest patch and got the black screen immidiately, I did another install without the patch and it worked, I rebooted my PC then I got another black screen... I am suspecting it might be a virus that is kicking in after the installation so I might need to check that out... Any further suggestion is welcome

Yea, the interesting thing is this game is patched like, seven times? I guess on the 476th patch they will get it done :D

When I restart the game it doesnt work anymore... I installed the game, played for 5 minutes, saved then quit. Run the game again, it worked fine. But after a reboot or turning off then on the pc just crashes the game... I will give this gfwl stuff hope it works, I will keep you informed, thanks for the advices too

I decided to play fallout once more, I did a fresh install, everything went fine, updated to 1.7, started a new game... played for a couple of hours, a CTD. No problem, started the game again and now I get only a black screen. I uninstalled and installed again, works fine, I decided to sleep and turned off my PC... The next day Fallout doesnt work again! Only a black screen with the hourglass icon of my mouse. I dont get it, I have beaten the game with my very PC, nothing has changed, no upgrades whatever... Only updated my Nvidia drivers to 190.62. I have a 8800 GTS OC2 320 MB with dual core Intel E 6750. I use xp sp3 Any suggestions and / or help is welcome... Thx in advance
