Hi everyone, found my way here via a link from a search and am excited to see such a diverse collection of game threads and topics that I know I am going to enjoy browsing. My name is Martin (Marty) I live in the North East (UK), I am 59 and have been playing games on and off since my Commodore C16 and Plus 4 in 1985. Although I have had several different computers over the years (two of which were my own build) I always preferred gaming on consoles as it seemed more easily accessible and I could share the gameplay with my daughter. More recently my interest has been with the PS3 and its predecessors from which I have had many hours of fun and late nights..............and then Skyrim came along, and whilst all us PS3 Skyrim gamers were struggling with crashes, lag and broken quests to name just a couple of the PS3 Skyrim game killers you guys were having a great time just playing the game and in a God-like way fixing everything with various and wonderful mods............I was so envious and desperately wanted to be a part of that superior clique, but eventually and slowly but surely PS3 Skyrim got fixed and is now one of my favourite games. Anyway,...... I bought a laptop from Novatech (their own build) a couple of years ago and I have just discovered that somehow despite its relatively low laptop specs I can play most older (Morrowind, The Witcher and Oblivion to name a couple) and some more recent games (Xcom, Mass Effect 2&3 and Bioshock 2) on it, and now I am beside myself with joy because I have the opportunity to become God-like, install mods and insert console commands etc just like you guys.........but first I have to find out where to start and how to do it through Steam. I am going to have so much fun I'm gonna burst with happiness. Cheers everyone, nice to meet you. Marty.
