  1. Hi there. Short and simple: I'm curious as to what the "landscape" of modding is like for Dragon's Dogma, and whether or not specific ability effect values can be easily, or reliably altered as of now. As the title suggests, one of my primary concerns would be a mod that specifically targets potentially under-performing abilities and gives them a fractional boost to bring them in line with the standard expected from other abilities and combinations, to give both new and returning players a means of trying radically different concept / gimmick builds and still have them perform under pressure. In particular, I see the Ensnare/Implicate ability to be a prime candidate, having both a compelling aesthetic, and potentially lucrative payoff if only it could be touched up a bit. Having the tier 2 skill Implicate extend the reach and area (AoE cone) of your tether, while also boosting its pulling power, might have it see much more frequent use against things bigger than a wolf. I'd personally love to see the affect strike a low-flying Griffon and watch the Strider wrench it down from the sky.
  2. You are an incredibly sexy person. Thank you!
  3. +1 here, I'd absolutely love the ability to turn this on, even if it was just a matter of editting an entry or two in one of the ini's.
  4. Hey folks, long time Nexus lurker, newish poster. Not sure if anyone else had the same idea I did when we first caught sight of the MEC Troopers outside of their armored suits and only equipped with their thin-framed Base Augment limbs, but honestly, I was hoping there would be some option for applying these uniquely formed soldiers to the battlefield, without loading them down with piles of armor plating and making them the biggest damn target on the battlefield. What if, due to their relatively slimmer profile, less organic material and mechanically assisted mobility, these Base Augments could be improved to become combat-capable prosthetics for Mec Troopers and allow them to accomplish inhuman feats such as fatigueless sprinting, multi-story leaps, pinpoint-accurate marksmanship and compacting their limbs to convert partial cover into full cover. All at the expense of outright armor plating? As it stands right now, you're completely unable to field Mec Troopers who are not piloting MEC suits, however I can't help but argue the potential combat benefits of a soldier with all four limbs replaced with pseudo-organic metals, even before adding a larger frame. Any ideas on whether or not flagging Base Augments for combat duty is possible in the first place, and thereafter, if you are capable of, perhaps, making a second MEC Trooper ability tree?
  5. I honestly want badly implemented melee weapons of the varying tech levels to be items anyone can choose to use. It kills me that these apparently highly skilled soldiers never bring low-tech combat weapons that could even the odds in CQB engagements. I mean.. you're in close proximity, close enough to headbutt the guy. Why not pull out your knife and jam it through their skull?
