Game crashes after Logo - yet didn't before.
Rezznor replied to Rezznor's topic in Skyrim's Skyrim SE
1) Yep, happens on the older saves. 2) Nope, haven't added/removed a mod in days. 2a) - Also I have Steam hold off on updating the game, so no undesired/unintentional game updates either. 3) Tried it, Fallrim Tools found no issues. 4) Step back further and I am in a different play-through w/ different mod setup. The only newish mods I added a week ago were some follower mods just to have more people to bump in to during my travels. No other significant changes made. -
I exited a Jarl's house, entered a shop, purchased items, exited, saved and quit the game and went to bed. Next morning I resume my save and it crashes after I start the load. I load up the auto-saves made when exiting buildings previous and it still crashes. Without any changes made in the game or to the pc, why would it crash when loading saves that I have gone through before?

Armor effects not working after Flowergirl animation re-equips
Rezznor replied to nexs390's topic in Skyrim's Skyrim SE
I always have this problem. Not sure why it happens, but I have to unequip all the gear again and re-equip. Then the enchantment effects are working again. -
During my travels I come across and collect a large amount of ore. I would like to smelt them into ingots. I would especially like to not have to do them one at a time, and even more especially since I have to move the mouse up to click on the ingot, down to the OK button, and back up again. This gets tiresome when there are 60+ ingots to do of one type, and I have many types. Is there a mod that can do batch smelting or similar?

Is there a mod in Oldrim that changes the facial expressions of NPCs based on what they are doing? Mainly for followers. It would be nice to see more than just the bland blank expression on everybody's faces when a massive melee has broken out. Otherwise, the only time I get a good look is during the rare Power Attack.

As the subject says, is it still nearly necessary to use? Are the fixes all that noticeable?

A way to find out what is crashing my game every so often?
Rezznor replied to Rezznor's topic in Fallout 4's Discussion
Well, it turns out to have had something to do with Amazing Follower Tweaks. No crashes since disabling that. Funny thing though, everything that I scrapped w/ Scrap Everything all came back. All the unscrappables. -

I disabled Scrap Everything, but the game still crashes when I load into a new area. I guess it could be now a scrapped Save. I could try starting a new game w/ what I have left and see if I still have issues. -
A way to find out what is crashing my game every so often?
Rezznor replied to Rezznor's topic in Fallout 4's Discussion
I have a GTX 1060 6GB VRAM, video drivers from 9-15-07, 16GB RAM, and an Intel i5-6600 quad @ 3.50 GHz. I could understand if it was Scrap Everything, but then crashing at Settlements only would be understandable, but this can happen anywhere. -
....Probably not, but usually after every 2nd or 3rd Fast Travel I get a Windows message: "Fallout 4 has stopped working. A problem caused the program to stop working correctly. Windows will close the program and notify you if a solution is available." Then I click Close program and restart the game. Most of the time fast traveling will then work, but once in a while not. And it isn't just for fast travelling either, but the loading of zones. I can be walking around Boston and open a door into a building and the same thing would happen. It would be nice if there was a log file somewhere that reports what crashed the game. I think I remember reading once about setting an .ini file for F4SE or setting the memory in a file combining RAM and VRAM, but I can't find that info anymore. Maybe it was a Skyrim read, not F4. Well one thing I wish was still there was hovering over the new/hot mods and a description of what it does would come up. Having to now click on everything is a bit wasteful.

I have a couple hair packs such as Apachii for custom followers, but is there a mod or way for random hairstyles of those hair packs to be put on every generic NPC?
-
Good question though. Would it be possible?

For bodies and skeletons, which installs first?
Rezznor replied to Rezznor's topic in Skyrim's Skyrim LE
Thanks. -
Using Nexus Mod Manager, which would be the best order for install, since some overwrite others? Realistic Ragdolls & Force, XP32 Max Skele, CBBE, then the body texture of choice?
-
Tried that too. The kill command did not work on these guys either, as I said in my opening post. If I Disable them, then sacrifice my follower, Boethiah tells me to kill everybody else around... but I can't because they are now Disabled.
-
Just tried that. Clean save, but no such luck.

All I have (I think) that effects NPC's is Run For Your Lives. All the NPC's run inside when a dragon attacks. I've been using it for a long time now, and previously had no problem w/ the Cultists. This is my 3rd run through.
-
Over a month ago game-time I got the quest to find the Cultists. One of two things happened next: I waited until now to go there, or I went there when I got the quest, killed everybody, and never got the quest credit of discovering them, and left. I finally decide to go there w/ my sacrifice and find the cultists dead on the ground except for two standing around. They attack me on sight, but the annoying bit is that they take no damage. Actually, all my weapon attacks and spells pass right through them as if they were not there. But their attacks certainly hurt me. There are quest markers above their heads, both pointing to the Discover The Cultists quest, and figure I have to kill them. The main priest lady is already dead when I get there. I have checked out various Console Commands to try to make them mortal gain, including using Kill, deactivate, and a couple others. Nothing happens w/ Kill, Deactivate makes them go away but their quest markers remain. They don't respond to anything that requires their base ID, and their reference ID barely works. I have tried setStage to advance the quest, but I'm still faced w/ the two immortals. Any thoughts?

And I am curious as well. Can't find an answer to it.

Giant head, wrong hair, and Skyrim crashes when she's gone.
Rezznor replied to Rezznor's topic in Skyrim's Skyrim LE
Opened her up in Creation Kit to look around. I click on preview, and there she is with a giant head and the wrong hair, but all pointers point to the right spot, and facegendata is checked, so it should be going to the right head. -
I have followers, and earlier today one of them just got a HUGE ego! Her head went from the custom head design that came with her (Sha) to a standard head model with a size of a giant. Bigger than if a character could go to size 200. Also the hair is standard female skyrim hair, not the model that came w/ the character from Apachii. So the first thing I check is the meshes. Actors/character/facegendata/facegeom and look in FollowerSha.esp. I have NifSkope and check out her head and hair, and yep, it is what comes with the model. I open the game again, and yep, she's got Giant Head Syndrome. So I go into NMM and delete her. She's just a simple follower: no scripts, no fancy extras - just a body and hair. I boot up Skyrim. It crashes before it gets to the Menu. I try Skyrim again. It crashes again, same place. Going back to NMM, I re-enable Sha. I open Skyrim, and it loads perfectly fine where I was. With G.H.S. still! I try going back to a previous save where I know she worked fine. I open it up, and she still has G.H.S. I close out the game, uninstall her, delete her from my computer completely, re-download and install her. SAME THING! So near as I can figure, something in the game has latched on to her existence, and Skyrim will no longer work without her, and apparently it prefers her with a giant head and standard hair. I can delete my other followers no sweat, but this one has gone bonkers. I have not installed any other addons, nor have I done anything weird to the game. We were just skulking along in the forest, looking for something to destroy, when I turned around and there she was! Giant Head Syndrome! Any ideas as to what happened? Or even better, how I can fix it.

After installing MODs, I know BOSS will re-organize them in a better loading order, but are there issues with installing some MODs out of order? Mainly with bodies and skeletons. I have XP32 skele, CBBE, CHSBHC - BBP, plus a couple of textures I'm still deciding between. Does it matter if skele is installed first then CBBE, or does CBBE go first, then CHSBHC, then skele....? Or does it not matter at all which order they are installed in. Thanks.
