  1. I'll also be disappointed if they don't do something with the map. There is so much untouched area that could really have been put to use for the game. It's totally wasted space. I was really shocked by how small the actual map area is especially considering the lack of expansive underground areas. I also feel what hurt this game was the inability to continue playing after the main story. Yeah, yeah I get that it would have been more complicated to program in all the possibilities. Regardless it still put a limit on it and that doesn't work well for this style of game.
  2. It probably should have been phrased differently as well as only being made available to people who don't have the discount already. If you already have the discount why would you risk losing it by letting him know what you did? He never says a word about it so why should I? And I agree about the Vendortron comment. It's a robot. No obvious doors. It was pretty obvious how they did it. I just ignored that one. There are lots of others like that but I never click on them because I think it makes my character look stupid. Role playing right? Yea my character isn't supposed to be a moron.
  3. I tried going with the speech option instead of the wheel but it still didn't work. I still had companions following me or porting to me no matter what I did. The game has issues.
  4. It's not the weapons he wants, it's the mods. You can only get those from a vendor and guess who sells the most for Energy Weapons? It's a bad situation to have Cass along with an energy weapons user.
  5. Amost 10 G but would be a lot more if I had a better computer. I have to be careful about mods with high resolution textures because my rig doesn't handle them too well.
  6. Yea it's definitely a problem even with Vanilla companions under certain circumstances. But it's even worse with modded companions. Not sure what the issue is but the only way to be 100% sure they won't go with you somewhere is to fire them.
  7. Weapons don't' have a Critical Chance, they have a critical chance multiplier. Ratslayer's is 5x. So, if you character's CC is at least 20% then yes, you'd always score a critical hit. But Ratslayer is a Varmit Rifle, not exactly what you'd chose to hunt mutants or cazadore's with, even with a 100% CC because the critical damage is so low. They game is well balanced in this regard. Don't underestimate the Ratslayer. For a stealth character at range with the night vision scope and the silencer, maxxed guns, and always critting, it can be a very potent weapon. Even if it takes more than one shot it doesn't matter because they never see you anyway.
  8. I've you've already done the quest once you can't repeat it for Veronica. If Ed-e gets caught in the blast when you ignite the gas on the bottom level of the vault he glitches and gets stuck there somewhere and will remain there indefinitely but also remains as your companion indefinitely. You keep the perk but you'll never get Ed-e back without using the console. He's stuck that way in my game now which is fine for me because I just want his perk anyway.
  9. Wow good luck making that. After looking through that thread it looks like he put many, many hours into that build. The results are absolutely fantastic though. One of the best costumes I've seen someone make for a game.
  10. There are actually several drop boxes around the NV map. Not sure why someone said there were only 2 because that's not true.
  11. Some spoilers here for anyone reading that doesn't want to see them. Well it's at the very end so unless you modded the game to keep playing after the main story it won't make a whole lot of difference. But it's in the final conversation you have with General Oliver and you need to have 100 in either Speech, Barter, or Science to resolve it peacefully. If you have a skill high enough, but not quite 80, you can boost it up to 100 with a magazine before starting the conversation. You talk to Oliver after wiping out Cesar's troops after the fight at the Dam. As you approach the main gate to leave Oliver bursts through with an explosion so save before heading to the gate and use a magazine if you need to.
  12. The game engine would need some major changes to make vehicles work decently. It could be ok if done correctly but I wouldn't want it in the game the way it is now.
  13. You can side with House and have Boone to the end. There's also a peaceful resolution with the NCR if you play your cards right even when to do side with House. After all it isn't House's ultimate intention to go to war with the NCR. He mostly wants them out of the region so he can control the dam. Controlling the dam insures that he will be in power for a very long time to come.
  14. It would have made more sense if the new sheriff came running up to you once you returned looking for assistance with a hostage situation inside V&V. It still makes him pretty inept as a law keeper but it's better than having him walk around oblivious to the situation. How would even a half assed sheriff not know there are people being held hostage in the town's most important business? Also, the town can hold off a whole pack of well armed Powder Gangers but it can't deal with a few pathetic NCR deserters? Yea I'm still not buying it.
  15. Well I do agree that the deserters bit made no sense at all. Hey where's that tough sherriff I got for you guys anyway? Yea I didn't like that part either. Never noticed that the casino emptied out if you go out and back in because I never did that. And I had already talked to the robot while I was in there the first time. I always talk to everyone I can when I first get somewhere. Not sure if that changed things or not. I just know I went back at some point and there were people in the casino. I guess whether it plays out wierd for you or not depends on how much time you spend there. I just wasn't there more than a few times and didn't really care much about the Casino really. It is too bad they didn't do something with the hotel though. They could have had some people in there, cleaned it up, had a nice room for you since you did so much for the town. Oh well. Maybe someone will mod it.
