  1. Gorgopis's post in SKSE won't launch Skyrim LE gameplay though Vortex Dashboard sees all tools was marked as the answer
    @htr

    Thank you. I ran into a very old issue here that was a new one for me. I solved this by (after research), logging onto STEAM, and verifying the integrity of my game cache. STEAM found two unrepaired files, repaired one, and did nothing for the second.

    Nonetheless, long story short, I next ran Skyrim LE in STEAM, returned to Vortex, enabled all mods, trusted Vortex to sort the load order, including SKyUI, adjourned to pc desktop, disconnected from online, launched successfully from the SKSE loader, and found all dlc working, and all mods working, including, yay!, SKyUI. My old saves worked, including a few I ported in from The PS, heaven forbid.

    (Off topic, I tried to load an old saved ccbe xml preset into bodyslide, which has not appeared in game yet, just the default one. Not sure why.)

    Next? Time to clean mods. Thanks, as always, for being there. (Was my post a short version?)
  2. Gorgopis's post in Vortex can't find dlc archive after skyrim dlc reinstall via STEAM so dlc doesn't launch? was marked as the answer
    Solved.

    For those looking over my shoulder, finding this old issue for the first time, here’s what worked for my pc.

    I logged onto STEAM; right clicked my game; went to properties; opened up local files tab; and clicked to verify integrity of my local game cache. Steam found two unrepaired files, repaired one automatically on my closing that window, but refused to repair the second one indicated. Doesn’t tell you which files.

    Anyhow, I launched Skyrim LE from within STEAM, and voila, dlc was there, as were many of my preferred mods, though not checked in the data files menu. So far so good.

    I Returned to Vortex, enabled all mods, and allowed/trusted Vortex to set recommended load orders for my preferred 30 mods.

    I returned to my pc, launched Skyrim (offline) from the SKSE launcher, and found all dlc and mods present.

    My Old saves worked too. For those like me who are spoiled, and who expect these services to juggle seamlessly, we need to realize that many of these services are works in progress. They still provide amazing functionality.

    Still, thanks.
