  1. I've been told before that the esl limit is like over 4000, so I've never worried about that. I have no idea though if there is an esm limit
  2. I am aware of the esp limit, I have 134 esps and 181 esls rn. And like I said the problem only occured when I bought and istalled the creation club content, which I'm pretty sure shouldn't be counted towards the total limit as it's all esms and esls.
  3. Update in case anyone ever checks this out: Uninstalled over 200 mods and it fixed the problem it seems. Now I just have to go through them one by one to find out which ones is incompatible with creation club content. Still, if you've experienced this problem before, let me know, maybe I have the same mod that was causing you trouble. Yet another update: The problem is back yet again. My game keeps getting corrupted and I have no idea what to do.
  4. Simple as that, I finally caved in and bought the CC upgrade dlc on Steam, because I asked around and was told that since I'm on Skyrim AE anyways I might aswell buy it since it appaerently works okay. So I bought dlc, downloaded all the content, made sure to grab the CC content patch for USSEP and it sadly broke my game. Every single savegame is corrupted including every new one I make. Any idea what could be causing this? Is there some popular mod that's infamous for not working with CC content installed? Rn I'm unistalling my mods one by one hoping it fixes the problem, but so far nothing. Thanks for any advice.
  5. oh alright then, thanks for explaining this, I guess I'll go delete the folder and see if it anything happens, though one last question, do I unistall the folder itself or just it's contents? Like do I need to keep that empty folder or will steam just generate a new one the moment i reinstall skyrim?
  6. Sorry once again, I really barely know what I'm doing, but is it safe to remove this folder? There's so many subfolders with so much stuff I barely recognise, there's the skse files and all, the Data folder is pretty full of stuff. The entire Skyrim SE folder is about 2GB. I mean how will this affect me trying to reinstall Skyrim SE one day? will there be extra problems cause by this? and is doing this even guaranteed to solve my problems or is it more a shot in the dark? thank you for any additional advice
  7. I'm sorry, I'm really not good at this, the install folder is the one under steamapps/common? Or am I confusing it with another? also I noticed there's skse related files in this one. I'm really sorry I'm so confused
  8. Are you referring to those files in the Data folder? Please just clarify this for me
  9. I decided to check to where Skyrim SE would normally be isntalled by steam and noticed a bunch files in the Data folder. I'm pretty sure most of this isn't supposed to be here. It's just a lot of random mod files. Esp files, bsa files, etc. and I don't have Skyrim SE installed. I would provide a picture but I coudln't figure out how to attach a picture I haven't previusoly shared. Could this possibly be the cause of the problem? And if so, can I just delete these files?
  10. I have done as you said, the game isn't being managed anymore but it still says that the one mod is active. Does this mean the problem lies somewhere else?
  11. Oh ok, and will doing this just remove the game from the managed tab or will it also disable the one active mod?
  12. Ok, but I think you missed the part where i said i don't have Skyrim SE installed. I can't look it up in vortex. I don't have it installed to get to the page where the purge button is. Honestly just seems like an unsolvable issue at this point considering my knowledge. Rn I seriously regret ever getting into using mods.
  13. Vortex doesn't start with Windows. Nothing on Disc D starts with Windows. For the second paragraph I am sorry but I have no idea what you're even trying to say. Not your fault, I am idiot when it comes to any technology. Sorry How do I purge that mod? I'm pretty sure I need to have the game installed to purge. Also I can't even tell what mod it is. I'm sorry, as you can see It seems a person like me will have to be stuck with these issues sadly Edit: One more thing, when I check the managed games, Vortex is giving me an option to "activate" Skyrim SE? what would this do? Could it help in any way?
  14. I don't have Oldrim installed, I have no games installed, by issues i mean my disc D sometimes gets lagged and it slows the entire PC and sometimes it causes incomplete shutdowns. This is why I assumed the issue must come from the Disc D and since that's where Vortex stored the mods for my games which I always put specifically put on that disc. Judging by your response, fixing this won't be a simple thing
  15. My PC has been acting weird lately, so I decided to check all the things I got on it and when I reached Vortex I found out that, that it is managing one mod for Skyrim SE even though I don't have the game installed. Could this actually be causing problems? And if so, is there to way to fix this without having to reinstall Skyrim SE? Thank you for any help The attached picture shows that one mod seems to be active despite the game not even being installed.
  16. I was having problems unistalling mods and was told to purge the mods. I did this and then checked the Skyrim SE Data and noticed that the esp of one mod seems to remain. Even weirder, it's for a mod I don't even have installed. Should I remove this file? The mod's name is Serana Dialog Addon
  17. Well, I found the file, deleted it, then started the purge of the mods and the purging has been going on for a few hours. I'm guessing it's not supposed to take this long even if I have over 200+ mods installed. Am I supposed to just try and wait this out or does this present yet another problem I have to resolve? EDIT: Ok so I tried to wait it out, but vortex eventually lagged and just closed itself. Should I try to purge again? or am I just screwed? And honestly I can't really tell if anything happened but I can still find the mods in the files so I'm guessing this means didn't happen and I should keep on trying again?
  18. I've managed to locate this file, just where you told me to look. Just to be sure, I delete this file now and then try to purge the mods? Could anyone please respond? Just to confirm what I'm doing. I really don't want to screw this up.
  19. I've managed to locate this file, just where you told me to look. Just to be sure, I delete this file now and then try to purge the mods?
  20. Purging the mods sadly also doesn't work, but I also can't seem to find the vortex_deployment.json. It just seems to be missing completely. Like it's already deleted or something. Here's the error message I got after trying to purge the mods: Failed to parse manifest: "Unexpected token",""... is not valid JSON" Backup couldn't be read: ENOENT: no such file or directory, open 'D:\Vortex Mods\skyrimse\vortex.deployment.json' Also these details if that helps: Error: Failed to parse manifest: "Unexpected token '', ""... is not valid JSON" at readManifest (C:\Program Files\Black Tree Gaming Ltd\Vortex\resources\app.asar\renderer.js:5290:67) at C:\Program Files\Black Tree Gaming Ltd\Vortex\resources\app.asar\renderer.js:5296:90 at tryCatcher (C:\Program Files\Black Tree Gaming Ltd\Vortex\resources\app.asar\node_modules\bluebird\js\release\util.js:16:23) at Promise._settlePromiseFromHandler (C:\Program Files\Black Tree Gaming Ltd\Vortex\resources\app.asar\node_modules\bluebird\js\release\promise.js:547:31) at Promise._settlePromise (C:\Program Files\Black Tree Gaming Ltd\Vortex\resources\app.asar\node_modules\bluebird\js\release\promise.js:604:18) at Promise._settlePromise0 (C:\Program Files\Black Tree Gaming Ltd\Vortex\resources\app.asar\node_modules\bluebird\js\release\promise.js:649:10) at Promise._settlePromises (C:\Program Files\Black Tree Gaming Ltd\Vortex\resources\app.asar\node_modules\bluebird\js\release\promise.js:729:18) at _drainQueueStep (C:\Program Files\Black Tree Gaming Ltd\Vortex\resources\app.asar\node_modules\bluebird\js\release\async.js:93:12) at _drainQueue (C:\Program Files\Black Tree Gaming Ltd\Vortex\resources\app.asar\node_modules\bluebird\js\release\async.js:86:9) at Async._drainQueues (C:\Program Files\Black Tree Gaming Ltd\Vortex\resources\app.asar\node_modules\bluebird\js\release\async.js:102:5) at Async.drainQueues (C:\Program Files\Black Tree Gaming Ltd\Vortex\resources\app.asar\node_modules\bluebird\js\release\async.js:15:14) The one thing I'm really confused about is the error showing me a pathway to the json file that simply doesn't seem to exist. Thank you for any advice
  21. All the folders have their contents. I have also tried deploying the mods as Pickysaurus told me to, which didn't work too. It seems i will have to attempt purging the mods then.
  22. Turns out deploying the mods just results in "failed to deploy mods"
  23. I haven't modified or deleted anything vortex related by myself, I only interact with "vortex things" just through vortex itself. I will try to deploy the mods then, thanks for the advice.
